Was in the area checking out other stores, and remembered I needed to get my August birthday reward. I didn't realize they close at 8, I thought it was 9 like other stores in the Farmington Station area. We walked in and the cashier told the person she was helping hold on just so she could tell us they're closing in 5 mins. I walked into the counter so I could get my free birthday reward only for her to tell me "oh sorry they're out of it" but she can give me a free sample of a perfume card. Umm why would I want that??? I was wanting the free mascara for my bday month. As I was walking out she just kept staring at me, like okay is there something wrong? Apparently using testers is illegal here? I've never really had any problem with Ulta workers before today. Usually the staff is friendly or at least neutral, but today was a whole different story. My sister and I went into this Ulta location just to browse and test a few products like any other normal customers and we were testing a few loose powder testers on my sister to find one she likes. Until a worker in a rude tone asks us " Do you guys need any help?" We respond no we are just testing a few different product testers and browsing thank you though. She responds very rudely " ok but we have to put the testers on you . You can't just put it on. So don't use any other testers unless you ask." And walks away I was in shock of how disrespectful she was to both me and my sister when all we were doing was testing a few product testers. And I understand that some people abuse the testers and ruin them. I bet it's annoying to the workers. But we were being extremely careful with the testers and using very little not to waste it. Let me be honest I have never heard that they have to put the testers on you before I have asked for help and opinions from other workers before and they have been so helpful and respectful to me. But I have also tested testers on my own due to knowing what I need and just trying something new for fun. This is the first time I have gotten told that before. I understand if they see certain people using testers that are expensive or very limited and are getting ruined by people testing them it's not very pleasant. But what are the testers there for? If she took a different approach to me and my sister offering to apply it on her respectfully and not in such a rude tone this would have never happened. And if that is a policy that Ulta is enforcing do it with basic respect and professionalism. We left shorty after. Farmington Station Ulta is kind of a mess & rarely stocked. But that is not what bothered me yesterday when I went in looking for travel size products I use. The male cashier checking me out and his female coworker working the register next to him, I believe to be workplace bullies. As he was ringing me up, the female employee kept interrupting him talking about random things. She completely disregarded that he was trying to ring up my stuff & continuously interrupted. Then she was discussing who was closing that night and she said it was her, him and another female employee. At that point, both were trash talking this other female employee. I don't even know who they were talking about, but it made me sad for the person who wasn't there. Maybe the employees should worry about stocking the store shelves instead of workplace gossip and being bullies. read more

I asked an associate for help (who was busy talking to a friend to be interrupted) and she responded "oh um yeah okay I guess I can help you" and then finished her conversation with her friend before helping me. This Ulta is clean and organized but I couldn't help but feel like the employees wanted nothing to do with me. I got a couple of glares and didn't see a single person smile. I do notice I get a much different reaction when I come in with a full face of makeup vs none at all which I don't understand. I came in on a Saturday during the afternoon and it was a zoo. If you want the perfect time to stop in and not feel rushed, anytime on a weekday is ideal. They are carrying Morphe and Kylie Cosmetics, I know some Ulta's do not. read more

I really enjoyed my experience at this Ulta. I had two returns I needed to make (from online purchases), and also wanted to pick up a specific hair product. The return was quick and easy, and I was able to purchase the new product with my previous purchase (and I got the rest of the $ applied to my card). It was really the easiest return situation I've experienced. The only downside was the person supporting my returns mentioned that they were and esthetician, and after sharing that I had a reaction to the product I had hoped for recommendations - they only steered me in the direction of chemical peels, after I said my skin is super sensitive. read more

the only reason that I'm giving two stars is because the manager that I ended up needing to speak with at the end of my visit was very kind. Listen I know that retail workers been through the ringer for the last year, but that doesn't give an excuse to be as rude as these employees were to me today. I simply had a few questions because I'm learning about the world of perfume and all the sales woman could do was look down her nose at me and rolled her eyes which was a lot of fun. Then when I got home and did my own research I came to find that all the info she had given me was completely wrong. I also spent over $600, asked if there were any free samples only to be told no when I could see very so early boxes labeled free samples that were full. The good: I came and got an eyebrow wax here by Katie and she did a fantastic job! My brows look great! She was so nice, she would stop and make sure I was okay since my skin was a little red and sensitive, and when it was over she said she could conceal or add any makeup I needed if I was headed out. I declined since I was just heading home, but I thought she offered amazing service! I love Ulta in general because you can find anything from drugstore brand to department store brand make up, hair care, and skincare. This location is no exception. They have everything you need, it's well stocked, and the store is clean. The bad: The reps and sales people here are extremely bias. While I was sitting there I heard them consistently only recommending certain, expensive brands. Even after the customer would politely ask if there was anything less expensive, the staff was extremely pushy saying, "You get what you pay for and this product will go farther for longer!" I get that, but if a customer doesn't want to pay that price, the staff should be willing to show them some other options as well! It was so frustrating. All in all, this location was okay. But it's not my favorite Ulta in Northern Utah. read more

My fiancé and I came to get her some face cleanser and other stuff. When we went to cash out we had to wait 20 mins for someone to help our fantastic cashier override a coupon that was on the shelf but expired. Two separate girls called the manager but apparently the manager was too busy. I even felt bad for Bailey because as we waited the line got longer and longer. What was suppose to be a 5 min in and out, turned into 30 mins! Find a new Ulta PLUS THE MANAGER WAS RIDICULOUS! She was so worried about being with another employee than helping customers. They seem under stocked, especially at this location and even when brands say "in store at Ulta today" this location never has it in stock - hence I order online from Sephora. This location may currently be a two-star Ulta, but let me assure you, Ulta's beauty advisor, Lexi is a five-star employee! Lexi has demonstrated such a basic, yet crucial, curiosity that the other cashier forgot all about. Noticing others. There were three cashier upfront when I went to check out. Lexi was busy checking out a client, while the other two were chatting away about some other thing. Granted, I'm sure the other two cashiers felt like their business was just as important, and it probably was. however, out of all three of these employees only Lexi noticed me standing in line. The other two girls where much closer to me, but neither turned to let me know it would "just be a minute." Or even notice me. Lexi looked over at her coworkers as if waiting for one of them to notice a customer needed to check out, but of course, neither did. Lexi rung out my items for me and was an excellent example of customer service the entire time. She noticed my outfit and made me feel important. And was even so kind as to tell me what highlighter she was wearing when I complimented her. It was a Fenty highlighter and I look forward to trying it out myself! I greatly hope all of Ulta will have the opportunity to learn from Lexi's good manners. There was another girl walking the sales floor who was also super helpful, but I have forgotten her name. Please read the reviews, they are not wrong! I came in looking for a self tanner that I saw they carried online and so I asked one of the employees and she was super rude about it and was asking me to prove it on my phone and I just said "you know what if you don't have it you don't need to say anything else like you don't need to be rude about it." The other employees just stand in groups and chit-chat and could care less if you're there they have no desire to help you and they probably have no clue about any of the products in the store which is a shame. I have spent literally thousands of dollars over the years shopping at Ulta. I have had the Ultamate/comenity card since I can remember. Due to their inadequate customer service and supervision I am no longer going to shop there. I will shop at Sephora or another one of their competitors here on out. I paid my account of full weeks ago. I've been trying to use my card recently and it's telling me I have a zero balance but only $9 available credit because of $241 worth of pending charges I never placed. I've now spoken to 5 people including supervisor Carla, Paola and some other names I do not remember. All I get are lengthy, lame explanations with no resolution. I feel like I'm talking to the wall because no one is getting it. Someone needs to explain why I've paid my balance in full and have a zero balance yet I have $241 worth of pending charges and only $9 available in credit. They're telling me blah blah blah- check your billing address check this check that. That is not the problem here. The problem is you're screwing up my credit with some unknown pending $241 charges that I never made. Someone is stuck on stupid!!!! read more

I received an email saying I had enough points to get $8 off my purchase. I drove 45 minutes to go to Ulta, shopped, and grabbed something I normally wouldn't buy because it was pretty expensive, knowing I'd get $8 taken off. The saleslady took my phone number and I mentioned the $8. She said, "Hmm. I only see 91 points. Sorry, there's nothing I can do." She began ringing me up. I showed her the email. "Sorry." I asked to speak with a manager. The manager was the woman right next to her, within earshot the whole time. The manager said, "Hmm. Maybe it's expired." I showed her the email, with the date stamp of two days ago. "There's nothing we can do." I waited to see if either would give me any kind of discount or do anything at all, and other than ask if I wanted to apply for a credit card (HA!), that was the end of it. My previous trip to Ulta wasn't much better. I'd purchased the "They're Real" mascara by Benefit ($24) and used it a couple of times before the brush cleaner inside the tube broke, so now the brush would be gloppy and I had to clean it off with a tissue, which was a pain and also wasteful. I thought it wouldn't be a problem to exchange it for another tube, but I was mistaken. Apparently it was a very big deal, completely with sighing and long, drawn-out discussions with the manager. Finally, she reluctantly gave me a new tube. Even as I left, they were complaining about what to do with the broken one. Ulta, step up the customer service! Shopping for beauty merchandise should be fun, not stressful. And get some better systems in place. At this point, I'll have to be desperate to spend more of my precious money and time at Ulta. read more

Mixed emotion on this stores location. Most of time I can't find my brand name cosmetics there, they don't have them in stock. There are times that I have to go searching for help at the Station Park Store. There is definite room for improvement with customer service skills, and keeping the shelves better stocked, or if they can't - don't carry the product at all. It's really frustrating to see the label where the product should be - and it's empty along with many other of the same line. read more

I have never had a good experience here. The makeup artists are not properly trained and try to push products on you that you don't want or need. I've come a few different times-awful customer service. I had a bad reaction to Lorac foundation and they were reluctant to give me my money back even though I had my receipt and card that I used. I've been coming to the Station Park Farmington, Utah location for over 3 years. Hillary at the salon is AMAZING! I not only have been a regular for 3 years but my daughter has been seeing her as well. Highly recommend her!!! She is friendly, honest, kind and fun! Love her. Eric is also very good. He's a charming stylist with many talents including makeup. I look forward to my 6 week visit as it's always a joy being apart of the Ulta salon family. The staff is lovely. Katie at the brow bar is wonderful! Wouldn't see anyone else. She does my brows and my daughters. Perfect every time. I love the "bring it back if your not satisfied" policy. I'm never disappointed. I feel confident when trying a new product due to this policy. The staff is helpful in helping me make decisions on what I'm looking for when purchasing makeup and styling products. 100% love this store!! Ps. If I could give zero stars, I would! Your employees in the Station Park Utah store are down right cold, snooty and not willing to help. I have been in this store multiple times and each time it's the same. No one asks if I need or want help, I have to ask. Today I had the "privilege" of Iris checking me out. She didn't even say Hi or ask if I found what I needed, nothing. I had to ask her to input my rewards card number. I then had to ask for the free mini Tarte mascara that came with a $35 Tarte purchase. She first said they didn't have any (which I get told this every time I go into this store). I told her that I had already asked the manager and she showed me one when I had asked earlier. She actually huffed out loud and rolled her eyes, I was in shock and just stared at her. Waiting during the awkward silence and then I asked her to ask her manager where it was at. She again rolled her eyes again (can you believe that) but did ask this time and the manager showed her where they were located. She gave me the one and I said that I had purchased over $80 dollars of Tarte products so shouldn't I be getting two mascaras. According to my math isn't 35+35=70? She snapped, "you only get one." Well, I wasn't going to fight that battle, I took my stuff, suppressed the outrage I was feeling, looked her straight in the eye and said thank you. Nothing was her response. If my employees ever treated one of my clients the way I was treated today, they would have hell to pay. It is 100% inexcusable. I hope you take this into consideration at your next team member training sessions and nip this in the bud before you loose more then just me as your customer. I for one am not stepping into that store again, they have lost my business and am making it my personal mission to make sure my friends, family, neighbors and social media accounts have heard my experience. read more

Disgusting. I walked in with my sister to buy some makeup brushes. My sister physically can't wear a mask because she has anemia and heart issues. I thought this was obvious from the fact that I was wearing a mask even though my sister wasn't. I was shopping for brushes for 5 minutes when one of the girls working there (I don't know her name) came up and offered my sister a mask. My sister tried to explain that she can't wear a mask when the employee literally said the equivalent of "No, you don't have a disability and yes, you will wear this mask." Before I could even respond, she shoved the mask she had offered into my sister's hands and walked away. I get that she's trying to keep people from being nonchalant about the pandemic, but this mandate legally can't force those with disabilities to wear masks, which is why they added that exception to the mandate. I would understand if she told my sister to stay 6 feet away from other customers, but shoving a mask in my sister's face is downright rude. I'm sorry your employees are so entitled as to refuse the existence of disabilities. Never shopping here again. read more

8/22/2016 @ 1630- NO CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS RUDE IGNORE CUSTOMERS LAZY EMPLOYEES & MANAGEMENT I literally walked in there ONLY because I use Estée Lauder and the places that sell Estée Lauder are nowhere near here so I decided I would let them show me some other options. I went in planning on buying all new makeup since I don't like mixing brands. I was so amazed at how invisible new customers were. I literally walked up to an employee talking to her manager about trying to leave early. And waited a moment until they were finished talking then said excuse me, as I was going to ask for their suggestion on makeup. They both looked at me as they walked away. So I went to another associate who just walked right past me as he looked at me with a stern face. Needless to say we left and as we walked out some gal said "Have a great day." Well thank you ma'am for being the only person in this store to recognize us for the 20 minutes we were there, only if anyone had asked us how they could help us or even said they would be with us shortly then y'all could have had a great sale. Needless to say I am going to make the drive to Macy's where I know darn well I will get the customer service that I love. They are always so friendly and helpful. Today went to Ulta to purchase the NYX Micro Brow Pencil and they didn't have it in my color. I wasn't really able to find anyone to help and when I finally found an employee she was so RUDE. Instead of trying to find it for me she gave a sigh, and then said that she was going to bring a box out so I can find it myself. Will I followed and waited for about 5-6 minutes and she disappeared. I was getting annoyed, so I decided to leave. When I got to the front she was behind the registers doing nothing. When she saw she told me that the box was over at the NYX aisle. I decided to go take a look and still couldn't find what I wanted. So disappointed and unsatisfied. I wish I would have gotten her name because she was really rude and not helpful at all. read more

My girlfriend gets her hair cut here frequently and we love her stylist Daysha! I've never had any problems with the makeup artists. I was looking at switching powder and foundation and had some questions about me having a reaction to certain foundations. The artist who took care of me applied the powder and foundation so I could see if I had a reaction to it. I came back later and purchased both. read more

I love the Ulta stores, but particularly at this location, unfortunately the employees are not very helpful. At least in my experience, I have gone in and unless I know what I want ahead of time, I have learned asking them for help will only take longer and not be beneficial. I find at some stores you have so many people asking you for help you feel overwhelmed, but here you have to track them down. Also, I wanted help choosing the right shade and I had to ask her to try it on my skin since she was just looking at my skin and suggesting a shade. Then one piece of makeup I knew I wanted was not in the display and after multiple attempts to see if she'd check in the back, she told me it would be out if they had it. Finally I asked if she would just check since I'd come all the way for it, and she came out with all of that item that had not been brought out. The people that work at the register have been nice, and I have no experience with the salon or brow bar, but if you need/want help choosing the right shade, or makeup, I'd go to a different location. read more
