I kept my hair short and didn't need a stylist of her caliber until recently when Wifey asked me to grow my hair out. So, I did but I didn't know what to do with it and it grew in unexpectedly curly! Jenn may have other specialties, but I've always known her to have magical talents with curly hair. Wifey made an appointment for me and I'll be a loyal patron from now on based on that experience. I got a style, an education about curly hair, entertainment, an affordable fancy schmancy product (turns out my all-in-one body wash, breakfast beverage, shampoo, and earlobe lube wouldn't work anymore), and a bit of confidence about how to handle my new luscious locks. Most importantly, Wifey was pleased with the outcome. I went to Jenn. I liked it. I'll be back soon.

In my first review I raved about this salon because of the quality of our cuts and then we had a not so good experience but knowing the owner cares and guarantees to prevent this from happening to anyone else and apologized and gave us our money back and offered to fix it means that she does truly care about her clients. My daughter 12 yrs old and her daddy went and had her cut there and my daughter came home crying because the woman who cut her hair absolutely butchered her hair. It was awful. I know people will say your daughter should have said something while there well she is 12 and she didn't want to hurt the ladies feelings and didn't want her to get mad. I heard the interaction and know what happened and saw how she acted during the consultation. She acted like a 7 year old throwing an attention getting tantrum and honestly should be ashamed of herself. When she mentioned wanting to color her hair and the stylist talked about the maintenance and that she wasn't sure she would be happy with it everything went bad and the client began to get angry and cry in the chair. Didn't get cut the second time. I sat in the chair for an hour just wanting something NEW and the stylist was not having it. Stylist got defensive when I brought up other ideas and shot every single one down saying they wouldn't work, that she would try, but it wouldn't work. I became doubtful, she negatively pressured me into doing her technique, saying that not doing it might ruin my hair and make it blocky when I asked, and then ended each time by saying "we can still do it your way." We ran in circles for twenty minutes. Both visits I had a poor experience with how I was spoken to, "particular" is how everyone should be over their hair, especially since she was cutting the bangs that cover my face, and calling someone that every two to three minutes certainly makes them want to come back. I visited this salon for hair color and an eyebrow wax. My appointment lasted over four hours, and before leaving I was happy enough with my hair to thank my stylist and leave a generous tip of over 20%. The next morning, when I looked in the mirror, I realized my eyebrows had been waxed far too thin, and a significant portion of my right eyebrow had been removed. I contacted my stylist, who later acknowledged that she had taken too much off and offered a $15 refund for the eyebrow wax. Unfortunately, the mistake ended up costing me much more than that. I had a wedding that weekend and had to purchase eyebrow growth serum, eyebrow makeup products, and ultimately pay for microblading in an attempt to correct the problem. I then contacted the salon owner, hoping the salon would stand behind the service provided there. I was told that the stylist was an independent contractor and that I would have to resolve the matter directly with her. After my bank dispute was denied, I reached out one final time, explained the additional expenses I had incurred, offered to provide receipts, and requested a refund for the original service. Instead of working toward a resolution, I was accused of trying to extort the stylist. I was also told that if I shared my experience publicly, she would post a video of me leaving the salon happy and tipping well. For me, that video simply reflects what actually happened--I didn't discover the eyebrow issue until the following morning. I'm sharing this because I believe customer service is measured not by whether mistakes happen, but by how they're handled afterward. In my experience, there was no meaningful effort to make things right. Everyone can decide for themselves where they choose to spend their money. I simply wanted others to know about my experience.
