No one in this salon has ANY integrity and unfortunately zero talent. They are willing to take your money whether they can achieve your desired results or not. Do your homework and avoid Haven Salon. When I walked into the salon and saw the decor and the enormous Christmas tree he designed and decorated himself, I knew I was in the right place and in good hands. He puts all of his creativity and energy into creating the perfect look. He was born to do this! It takes 1-2 months to get an appointment with Carlos himself, but it is well worth the wait. The other hairdressers in the salon appeared to be doing a wonderful job on their clients, as well. I have A LOT of hair, but he managed to do all-over highlights and lowlights with foils, cut, dry, and style my hair in 2 hours. Other stylists have taken 4-5 hours in the past for a less than satisfactory job. As long as I am fortunate enough to have him here in Johnson City, I will NEVER go to another salon for my hair. He is the shit. And I think his price is VERY reasonable for the level of service I received. My advice: make an appointment now, be patient and think about what you want your hair to look like, and then go to him and trust in him. If he makes suggestions, listen to him. He is an expert artisan.

I was lied to about booking last appointment and not wearing a mask. Taylor Way of Crop Hair Studio…read moreallowed me to get my sons hair cut in March 2021 and was not required to wear a mask. She said if I booked the last appointment that I would not have to. I booked for daughters hair appointment(for June 1, 2021)and she refused to allow us in without a mask even with exception. She said she never heard of an exception before. This was the worst experience ever. Taylor showed zero customer service. I'm also not sure if she was discriminating due to race. She is the one who told me to book last appointment and not have to wear a mask. She said since March 2021 rules are more strict. I told her that is not true. Mask rules have been eased since March. She said she was in fear of having her business shut down. I told her there are exceptions to mask and she is the one who told me it was OK when I booked. Very odd behavior by an owner of salon. She needs to be educated to not lie to customers.

When I arrived I only had to wait a short time and was seen by the next available stylist at the time I was scheduled. My stylist was also the manager, Jackie Willhite.
