My very first visit to any Ulta shop, and my experience for customer service was not good. I was never acknowledged from the time I entered the store until 25 minutes later when I left. I heard other customers greeted upon entering, but not me. Was it due to being dressed in sweats? It was a chilly rainy day & I was dressed for the weather. One sales rep walked right past me & never said a word. Yes, I was seeking multiple items, but ended up walking out without anything due to poor customer service. I have scheduled an appointment. I arrived on time. Ultra opens at 10 am. I was the first customer to do my hair. When I arrived, I saw my hairdresser Karinda. But because I was leaving the state, I scheduled with a new hairdresser. Karinda didn't have an available time. So I said hello and that I had an appointment. I saw a completely different hairdresser surrounded by her family or friends members. This new hairdresser said it would be with her, so she ran late. Doing hair (they were already there before the store even opened. As I said, I was the first to do my hair, scheduled at 10:00 am. ) So I waited 15 minutes. Then I asked how long I had to wait. She said, "She likes to be booked and have a lot of people at this time of the year." I said, "I was polite and arrived on time, but she wants me to wait for her. I also have a business, and I am swamped." Is it no more about Ulta Beauty treating customers with respect and hospitality? Does it become more like an individual hairdresser telling customers about what they like to be done? So after I expressed what I thought about it, she said, "She is not comfortable doing my hair," which I think is outrageous behavior. I think Ulta Beauty management, who schedules an appointment, should be aware of double or, in this case, triple booking. And everyone who schedules on time should be given service on time or call and say they are canceling an appointment. Like you, I am a human, so I have my human rights. Bye. read more

Thank you Ulta! My girlfriend used to drag me into this store every other week, spending an average of $200 per visit. It adds up! Your weirdly aggressive insistence on getting our phone number was a turn off but at least a few of your cashiers seemed to understand when I said we didn't want our personal information sold to 3rd parties (probably not a coincidence that the least pushy cashiers never seem to last very long at this store). But on our last visit one of your "lifer" cashiers (assistant manager maybe?) refused to let us exchange an unused product without providing a phone number, even though we had the receipt. For some reason you tell your employees to claim it's impossible to return or exchange without an "account" that's part of your blatant data harvesting scheme. We all know this is not the case. Any halfway competent cashier can do a return with proof of purchase and I'm certain given her seniority this individual had the authority. But the end result of your employee's hardline stance is that my girlfriend refuses to shop at your store, particularly your Longview store, ever again. Works for me! It probably didn't hurt that the woman ringing us up was fairly rude and pretty blatantly rolled her eyes to a coworker during this attempted transaction, as though we were crazy. We could've done an easy exchange of lipsticks and though I wouldn't have been happy about it we would've continued to spend a stupid amount of money at your store. I walked in here, hoping I could clear up my disappointment with my current shampoo and conditioner. I was greeted right away, and the lady helped me to the department that had shampoo for my type of hair. I also was able to test out multiple different dryers and settled on the Dyson my far after using it is the best choice to purchase. And after weeks of using my new shampoo, I really do love it and she knows exactly what I needed. I will definitely come back here again. They are very helpful and friendly. read more

I walked in hoping for a haircut that day but there were no openings so I made an appointment (soonest was weeks away) only to have it cancelled with no options but weeks away again. Today I went into Ulta looking for a few items and one item was for something along the lines of face paint for halloween. I had the pleasure to be helped by Alyssa who took the time to find items I was looking for and recommended alternatives. She helped in looking for products that I didn't know I was looking for. This is the best Ulta I have been in. It always clean, the employees are always friendly and helpful. Sierra always does my eyebrows and the brow bar and does AMAZING! Danielle is great too! I also get my hair done here, Jette is a hair goddess! Of course it is pricey but you get what you pay for! I had an allergic reaction to 2 items, just because my skin is sensitive, they had no problems giving me my money back. I highly recommend checking out this Ulta! read more

I will never go to ulta for hair again! They have ruined my long healthy hair to the point It's going to take months and months to get healthy again and they fried it so badly she had to cut off 8 inches of totally length and 10-12 in spots in a layered cut. I am completely devastated! They said since they didn't charge me for it they are done and I have to pay to repair it myself. They are giving me the run around and I feel they made a huge mistake and are responsible to fix it. This is terrible! I don't even want to go into public like this. One of the women working was rude. After being helped by one of the hairdressers she Saudi could try both hairsprays to decide which one I liked. Both hairsprays had no kids and I assumed they were samples after trying only one I was asked where did I get that very rudely. Unless you walk into this store completely decked out in Gucci with contour that can cut a bitch, they want nothing to do with you as a customer. Every time I've asked for assistance it was a struggle. They're allusive and uninterested. They do not know their products, or if they do they only know a small section. If I'm looking for a lotion for my pores AND also ask about the correct shade of red lipstick for my skin tone, they look like they would rather run into oncoming traffic than help me. What's really frustrating is when you finally get to check-out, there's either no one there or there's two workers talking to each other holding up the line. This place really is poorly managed, needs properly trained CSRs, and needs a complete face-lift in terms of attitude. This is Longview-Kelso, not Beverley Hills; get over yourselves and assist the obese white customers like they're goddamn Beyonce. read more

I came in wanting to spend a lot of money which I still did..but when I have 5 girls ask if I needed help and I declined only to bend down and look at the bow stuff and had another employee over me like I was going to steal something. I got up and she's looking at my pockets like I had put something in them ...it was very obvious you thought I was doing something wrong...and I still payed a couple hundred on makeup and still got looked at...I found it to be pretty rude. I walked out with my friend pissed and rather offended...not to mention I was asked to apply for a credit card and would get 20%off well she said I' was declined and that they would send me a paper stating why...we'll I never got a letter but for being denied I sure got a good credit limit...my whole over all experience SUCKED...your workers think they are high class and better then others, I have a real issue with that... let's see your naked faces....bet you wouldn't look the way you try to represent yourselves.... read more
