Still waiting for my money back- Jeannie and Pals for hair. Spent $170 of my hard earned money to get this crap foil. I seriously should have went to Supercuts and spent $50 to get the same quality. As the owner of this salon it's a shame he wouldn't offer a refund. Buyer Beware of less than quality service and a horrendous horizontal foil with splotches ! I love Pals! After moving and traveling all over, I always wait to come to Longview to see my stylist there. No one else gets my hair! It can seem a bit expensive at first, relatively in Longview of course, but it is totally worth it.. especially after going to other cities and seeing what they charge for a bad haircut! The people are always friendly, the atmosphere is comfortable, and the clientele are all regulars who the stylists know- that's because everyone wants to keep coming back! Haircut blocks are for an hour, which allows them to spend as long as they need to get your hair the way you want it. They sell Rusk products, and also have a spa that I haven't tried. You ever have such a good experience, you can't even begin to figure where to start your review?.... That's what happens to me, when I go to Pals and see Tana. Tana is not only skilled, but her dedication to detail, is second to none! When I used to go get a "guys" haircut, usually a tight fade, but when i used to go elsewhere, it was a real quick, Wham Bam, now leave....Tana has taken 45min both times I got my hair done & I appreciate that! My fade is tight and consistent. She checks it from every angle then double, & triple checks it. Then because my grooming is...mmm...less than stellar, she'll restore order to my out of control beard and get my eyebrows back in shape too, which my wife really appreciates! Second, & equally as important to technical skills, is people skills. In a day when it is rare to meet others who are not only friendly, but great conversationalists, Tana is all that! Last but definitely not least, is the scalp massage! I'm always worried I'm going to begin snoring when she shampoos my hair, because when she starts massaging your scalp, it's like a little piece of heaven! It's worth every cent and then some! So basically, if you want your hair to look flawless, have a great conversation, and a scalp massage that will make you contemplate getting a second job, so you can afford to have it done daily, then highly recommend going to Tana at Pals! read more

Larissa butchered my curly hair! She used thinning/texturizing shears all over my short, fine, curly hair, leaving it unable to be worn curly. She also put highlights in my hair and left the color an inch from my scalp, providing no gray coverage. She even left hair dye ALL OVER my face, ears and neck and I had to scrub it off at home!!! I called to speak with the owner, but got no return call for 5 days, when I finally called back and got to speak with him. He asked that I come in to allow him to fix it. I went in and he said the color was great, that it was the new technique. (I expect color to my scalp when I pay $130 for it!) he also told me it was a great cut but felt maybe the stylist went out of my comfort zone. Whatever!!! Attempting to wear my hair curly left it looking as if I stuck my finger in a light socket! He cut off the angle of my a-line bob, I guess thinking that's what I didn't like. What I didn't like was all the thin, scraggly pieces of hair near the bottom. This place HACKED my hair and I'm still recovering! If you have curly hair and want a stylist that appreciates it, FO NOT go to Pals! read more

Had thee worse haircut of my life here. I don't ever write bad reviews, but I have no choice but to do so. I brought in multiple pictures of what I wanted but the hair stylist barely looked at them. I was thinking maybe she knew the celebrity's hair already that I had shown her. I wanted a shoulder length bob with texture. She cut the front to my chin and the back was long down my neck. I've had a couple PERFECT cuts at Pals. I don't remember the names of the women who cut them those times. I've also had some not so good cuts the last 2 times. Neither was horrendous, but on the first bad cut I ended up with some sort of mullet, which is fashionable for some if styled correctly, but not ok with me. I had to make the stylist fix it by having her cut the rest of my hair even shorter. It was a nice cut, but definitely NOT the one I asked for or paid for. The second time it was again cut with too many layers to do what I wanted it to. I even brought in a picture of what I wanted that obviously had layers, but very few of them. This time, I'm just going to let my hair grow out and find somewhere else, and make sure I request the best stylist they have. I"m not taking any more chances. Maybe I just happened on an off day both of the last times I came in, but after each cut I realized that they stylists had cut my hair VERY similar their own. It was really wierd, like they weren't really thinking about my request while cutting. read more

I went there because my friend recommended it! I was very excited because I knew it was a nice salon. I went there to get a simple haircut plus some blue highlights for fun. I know for a fact that if you have dark like mine you must bleach it to get the blue color. My haircut was totally nice really fun but then she started putting the blue in my hair without even bleaching the parts first! Super disappointing... I drove 2 hours for a bridal up-do consultation, only to be blown off. I waited 15 minutes in the lobby, then was told it would be another 15-20 more minutes. It would not have been a big deal if I had not driven all that way. She didnt even try to reschedule me. I guess they are so busy they dont care about new clients? Larissa in particular knows what will work on my tricky hair and is always super professional.
