While the staff members are kind, it seems they force their own idea of what you should do with your hair onto you. After the first time of them doing that to me earlier this year, I thought "maybe it was just this stylist?" so I went again recently. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. My bangs were cut shorter than I asked, and they are very obviously crooked. It has ruined 4 special events that I was part of this week. I didn't even want to go to one I had today, just because I was embarrassed of how all my photos were turning out with such a terrible haircut. ---------- I went in and asked for my bangs to just be shaped - no dramatic length change. I was at a loss of words whenever I was turned around to look at my reflection and see that I got something completely different from what I had asked. The stylist seemed excited, and I just looked at her in disbelief. She asked if I wanted her to change anything, but you can't paste hair back on, so I mustered out a stoic "no"...didn't want more of my hair to be butchered off. Hair grows back, I get that, but I specifically went here to get my bangs shaped for special events that I knew I was going to be photographed multiple times for. Little did I know it was going to ruin my memory of each one.

I went to a fancy salon in downtown Austin, sat through hours of processes, only to not be heard about my desired hair outcome nor how I wanted my hair cut (and then pay an amount that was comparable to my rent ). Then I met Jenn. She LISTENED to me! How crazy?! She was realistic with me about what to expect with my hair, all while sharing her knowledge about products and overall hair health.
