I'm in the middle of the road in my feelings towards this Ulta Beauty store. Here are some good things: Their selection is very diverse and I can always find my favorite hair care products while browsing new and exciting make-up and skin products that I've never seen before. I've made some pretty large purchases here since they opened so I have their rewards card. Every time I go it seems like I have more points to use and save money on my purchases, which is a perk that I really like. They also give tons of coupons in the newspaper and the mail so I always stack those up and use them. I've had one microdermabrasion done by their esthetician and she was very personable and funny and honestly made the whole experience wonderful. It seems like they have a good thing going with their hair salon too because it's always busy. I've been considering going there for my next hair cut and color. Some not so good things: On some occasions I've noticed that their employees are almost too friendly and seem to follow you around. I'm not sure if it's just pure friendliness, where they want to make sure you are finding what you need, or if they are monitoring people. I've noticed this recently and wondered if maybe they have had an increase in theft or whatnot. It just gives me an odd feeling like I'm being watched every time I go there. read more

Just seems the prices have gone way up. 19.99 shampoo now 28.00. Store was very well kept and the people were kind. No senior discount. Just may as well go to a department store cosmetic counter. They at least offer special pricing. read more

Everytime I have gone in this location, is have been greeted and attended to in exemplary fashion. Especially, I want to note that Kayla has helped me on various occasions. She is thorough, personable, customer attentive and service oriented! She goes above and beyond in excellent care of her customers. She is always smiling and proactive when searching and recommending products! read more

Two female employees were making rude comments regarding me and my mother when we were in the store. We aren't heavy or ugly as stated. She was going to restock her foundation and I was helping her find a new setting spray and a new setting powder. We put everything back. Talking about us like we are idiots, and said, "dont you just love people" at the end was our last straw. And they continued on under their breath. They could've moved, they could have waited until we made our purchases. Instead we put our products back and left. 100% unprofessional and rude. This is at 8:32pm, Friday, May 15th, 2026. So if your boss see this, I hope they can figure out who was on shift and address this horrible customer service and nasty personalities. I think I may even call into the store. My mother was CRYING. The girls should not be working if they cannot do the job they are paid to do. Its after work and half past 8pm. Who cares if we have a messy ponytail or crocs on. Im sorry I didnt show up like a damn Kardashian on a last minute run because I need foundation for a trip, and didnt put back on my blouse, dress pants and had my hair done like I do for MY job. I personally was trying to help my mother find a product for the most part, and was made fun and insulted, because I guess just "too much of a bumpkin". How I conduct myself or other customers is not, especially by a CUSTOMER SERVICE employee, up for discussion in front of our faces (let alone at all). There's also the fact of how your employees avoid my mother like the plague when she does come in. She avoids that store as much as possible because the employees do their best to muster up a greeting to the employees that are up to their "standards". She only went before because a friend works there. All of this because we werent "pretty" enough to your "employees". They should be fired. And guess what we each do for our career. Without a doubt, these girls would be firered if they were one of my employees. Absolutely disgusting and inexcusable behavior. read more

I got my eyebrows done today at Ulta in Martinsburg on 316 Retail Commons Pkwy. Kristie at the brow bar was great! She was very professional and friendly. She was extremely precise when working on my eyebrows which I appreciated. I truly don't know whether to give this place a good rating or poor. Because of their complete inability to retain talent, I've opted for the latter. Every time I've gone to get a service, it's been great. I go back to the same girl another 2 or 3 times... then she's gone. This has happened FIVE TIMES already. The last stylist actually told me she was leaving and where she was going, and explained that they don't treat the stylists well or pay well and have mismanagement. Not sure of details and didn't pry. But it's really sad that I can't find a single person who stays. The haircuts are a little pricier than those in the area... not too bad. And the stylists haven't disappointed me. Just don't get attached. They won't be there long. read more

Staff are too aggressive for my taste -- if they aren't following you around staring at you while you are shopping which is very annoying, then at checkout they have been incentivized by their trainers & store management to be extremely aggressive pushing the Ulta Rewards Program; even after the customer will state they are not interested, they still take opportunities while you are still purchasing, to continue to harangue. Even after several complaints, employees continue to brazenly announce they are just doing their job - getting Rewards customers. If doing your job is to harrass, then there is something very wrong at Ulta and this only creates a horrid atmosphere. If Ulta can't see this...they lose customers. read more

A few weeks ago, I went into the Martinsburg, WV, Ulta. I was looking for a specific line of facial care products and roamed the aisles for 10-15 minutes and NOT ONE employee approached me. It wasn't at all busy and they did see me - looked directly at me!! Not a smile, not a "can I help you find something?"...NOTHING. Went home and ordered my products online. I will never go in that store again. read more
