I've been in this store in different cities and the customer service is usually good but today I went into this one and the lack of customer service in this store is ridiculous. I asked a woman who clearly worked there for help and she just pretty much ignored me and went straight to the register to do absolutely nothing. I had to flag down another employee for help and she even looked like she didn't want to help but she end up helping me which took her literally one minute to help find the product I was looking for. I found out the woman who ignored me first is the manager and her name is Lauren. That's a shame. I've worked in retail as a store manager myself and I would never treat a customer that way and made sure my employees treated customers with respect. It's no wonder this store has so many one star reviews. They have a lazy manager leading them. If she's not going to put in the work, how does she expect her employees to do the same. I'm going to follow up with corporate about this. I doubt they'll do anything but at least they'll have on record a complaint has been filed against this poor excuse of a manager. They need to demote her or get rid of her. She's not fit for the job. read more

Store Managers are so nasty there, they didn't let me use their phone to call my number and use the Find My Phone App, they show no compassion I suggest to show more appreciation to shoppers. I have had many haircuts, highlights, full colors in my time. I have been to many Ulta Salons over the years and met very wonderful stylist but the stylist I had to say was special. Patty or Patricia (if you book online) is amazing! I have a loooot of hair and it is very long. Normally, it takes 5-6 hours for a partial highlight, cut and blowout. Patty had me all done in 2.5 hours and it looks spectacular. She's a rockstar with a beautiful 'New Yawker' accent. She was fun and her energy is contagious. I recently moved to the area and as a woman we pride ourselves on our hair and beauty. Finding a new stylist is overwhelming and a little scary. If Patty takes care of you like she did me, you are in good hands! Thank you, Patty! I will be back. read more

I've never had a worse Ulta experience. Not only was the staff on the floor rude as all get out (with no name tag, later found out her name was Erin), but I've never had someone butcher my haircut or ruin/damage my hair in the way a salon worker did. $195 later for a partial highlight and haircut (AFTER A $15 DISCOUNT!) My hair had so much damage and flyaways from her breaking it off brushing through terrible tangles roughly without any real detangler. I have been getting my hair done for many years,(5+) with over a year of a break so my hair was really healthy, almost Virgin. She took about an hour to foil my whole head, so naturally during processing a whole side of my head wasn't lifting as quickly as the other sides. For the first time ever, as a natural dark blonde, I was put under heat for at least 15-20 minutes to process which I do feel affected the integrity of my hair. My color came out nice, but she cut my hair really unevenly. I have super choppy hair now with strands varying in almost an inch, and I requested bangs. My side pieces to the bangs were two completely different lengths (varying by several inches on each side). Not only was I not expecting to pay over $200 with a tip, I didn't pay this much to have the worst haircut and hair damage of my life. I have so many broken hairs near my scalp and even halfway down my hair from pulling breakage. Horrible. I will never be back and I will never recommend any one come here. I had no idea this store had a salon until a few months ago! I am thoroughly impressed with the professionalism and expertise of the stylists at this West Melbourne store. They are a pleasure to be with for a few hours while getting my hair cut or colored and if you have never had a keratin treatment then spend the money and TREAT YOURSELF to one! It is amazing!!! Overall I would give this salon more than five stars if I could. I have loved spending time getting salon treatments and spending time with the stylists. I feel like I am on vacation for a few hours every time I go. They are so accommodating and bend over backwards to make their clients happy plus they truly know how to color hair! The expertise and kindness shown is something rare in this face paced world. I went 2 weeks ago on a Sunday to get my hair highlighted I ask the stylist 3 weeks prior in person how much they were she said $55 for partial. I called a week later to schedule and confirm amount she said $55, when they called to confirm appointment again she said 55. I thought awesome that is how much I budgeted for it since I was not working. I came and she did my hair I was excited UNTIL I walked up front to pay with the slip she gave me it said $88.00 Including toner .I was extremely upset in tears. I was lied to.i told the manager and she did nothing.i asked to use my $5.00 rewards I was told I couldn't till Feb and she gave me a free water bottle. I trashed it. Not one employee asked if they could help me, and I was in there a good half hour trying to figure out what kind of products I need for my curly hair. This store has everything a girl could want. They even have a salon in the back to get your hair cut. My girls usually come here to get makeup, skin trestments, hair accessories, and perfumes. The first 2 times I got hung up on, then I called back 6 more times with no answer, then finally they answered and I was on hold 5.5 minutes before hanging up. 3 stars for the store, 0 STARS FOR THE SALON!!!!! The store is alright. I have seen it in better shape. When you have sales on items, keep them stocked!!!! Example, shampoo, conditioner, hair extensions. Which by the way the hair extensions were gross looking. One even had a lollipop in it. When I took it to a worker he looked at me like I had 3 heads. Some of the workers are knowledgeable on the products. Needless to say, most aren't. Do some education for them!!!! Or at least make it a requirement that they read on all the products!! For the salon portion, oh man where to start. I under stand, that there are senior stylists and under but come on, everyone should know how to do hair. I know some stylist use the term " fake it till you make it", well you definitely have stylist there that fake it pretty well. Let's start with the consultation. Wasn't very thorough, I told her I had a picture of the hair cut that I liked and wanted it similar to it. She didn't want to see it. Next, the color. I told her I wanted to tone down my red and she said no problem. Then comes back after a senior stylist told her, no not all of the red is going to come out. By the way they were standing just a few feet away!!! The other stylist had to help her with the color because she had no clue. While putting it on my hair, I understand some is going to get on your skin. However, wiping it off as soon as it gets in there is just proper hair stylist etiquette. Hence, as soon as she was done, she left it all over my forehead, ears, neck, etc. So, while I was sitting and waiting to process, the stylist that was in front of me, was talking very inappropriate about the other stylists there, TO HIS CLIENT!! He was saying pretty rude and nasty things. I'm sorry, that's just something you just don't do, especially when your on the salon floor!! Jumping forward to the haircut. I finally showed her the picture and she said, no problem. She starts cutting, and cutting, and cutting. She got very scissor happy!! Needless to say, she butchered my hair. It was nothing like the picture. She starts styling it grabs a brush that was sitting on the counter that was used by the other stylist on his client. I pull forward and ask for a clean brush. No offense to the other client, but disinfect the brush. After my hair is dry and styled, she goes through with thinning shears and starts cutting again. She said it's to help blend, but I know it's to cover her mistakes. You check your work when you finish the hair cut by cross-referencing your angles. So when she starts pulling the hair up, I notice all the mistakes and the lies aren't even straight. Not even my bangs were straight. I come home and pull up the layers and it was bad really bad. I call the very next day and she answers the phone. I tell her I need my hair fixed and pronto. She tells me she is the only one there and she is booked. I give her the benefit of the doubt and say ok I need something first thing tomorrow. She said again I'm the only one here and I'm booked until lunch. I start getting suspicious. I asked if I could have someone else fix her mistakes since she messed up the first time. I told her I would call back. I waited about 10 mins and I call back. Someone else answers the phone. I ask how many stylists are working and she says 3. Hmmm, she's really the only one working. Nice lie, but didn't fool me. The point of this, is don't go here to get your hair done. So many times I've been ignored there. They don't even make eye contact or acknowledge me. The thing that sucks is now I have a bunch of products I can't use because they don't match my skin tone. The attendant that helped me with my eyebrow makeup was very good and friendly. I wanted help with eye shadows so she went to get another attendant that was "better with colors." He offered advice on colors and a pallet. I would have loved to learn how to use the colors together, but he apparently had someone else he was helping so just offered a few suggestions. Went into store in Plant City, FL a few weeks ago with my aging Mother for her to pick up hair products, while we were there wanted to shop for a new fragrance for her and some make up, we put our choices in our bag, when we started to the check out an alarm went off, a store clerk snatched the perfume from our bag and informed us the item would be left at check out for us...upon arriving to check out, we waited behind four others, Mom on a Walker, with one cashier, all the while the store assistant manager and three other employees stood by and laughed and chatted, needless to say we decided to only buy the hair products Mom needed left everything else...never shop with them again, in store or on line...horrible experience read more

On a scale of 1-10 (10=best), ULTA Melbourne FL gets a ZERO and I would not ever go to another ULTA. I live in MA and had been in FL for a month. I use a combo of Phyto & Ouidad hair products and WENT IN specifically to buy some shampoo. Cheery hello from cashier girl on the way in - yesterday 5 PM. The employed magpies in the back of the store ignored me, did not ask if I needed assistance or interact with me in any way. I could hear their loud, personal banter throughout the hair product section. I went up and down every aisle and looked at everything in the store - 15 minutes After the cheery Goodbye from the cashier girl - I was starting to burn. She KNEW how long I had been in the store - I was the ONLY person shopping for PRODUCT and she did not have the training to ask if I had found what I needed. She KNEW I did not bring anything to the cash register. She KNEW the floor staff were not taking care of customers shopping for PRODUCT. With the door open, I said I would be emailing corporate about the store. She did not have the training to say, "Wait... let me get the manager." I walked to Marshall's and bought shampoo to tide me over. In MA, I buy hair products at http://www.beautywaycosmetics.com/ and when I want something different, they have great advice. At ULTA, you are PAYING LIST price for product knowledge. I wanted to experiment with a different shampoo. Since they were offering NO PRODUCT knowledge, Marshall's discount pricing made way more sense. read more

I love coming to my second home...Ulta! Though I feel the Chance Chanel is a bit pricey it is well worth it. I actually tried to find it cheaper but couldn't anywhere. This one has the most amazing selection of everything a girl or guy could want. If your into makeup and going to school for it, go to this one to get your needs. The staff is great and I think her name was Sandy but she was soooo helpful and very accommodating and I believe Alita also were one of the women that want you to look great and have patience of saints. I purchased my sister in law a $50 gird card for ULTA. When we went, we were greeted at the door, with friendly hellos. However, that was it. I am not one that knows too much about make up, but was looking for a darker/reddish lipstick to spice things up. None of the girls even came from behind the counter. The only associate that was not, was the girl waiting for her brow client. No one even asked us if we needed any help. Needless to say, I left with only shower fizzers ($8). I was very disappointed since had someone even asked, I probably would have ended up spending ALOT of money. I usually just need a little push or inspiration. Will probably go back, but won't expect anything. I'll just do my research before & hopefully find what I'm looking for. read more

I am actually surprised at all of the bad reviews this place got. This was the first time going into an Ulta store, and I actually had a good experience there. I was trying out BareMinerals foundations but did not know what I was doing. A woman who was working the Salon actually helped me get settled and to find my shade as well. I walked away with a BareMinerals kit after it was all said and done. She even came over and we were talking about BB versus CC creams after I was debating on another item to purchase later. The lady at the counter was also helpful, she signed me up for Ulta after she was asking for my rewards card and I told her I didn't have one. She also gave me all of the goodies that was advertised online since I bought a BareMinerals kit as well. Now I have some good coupons in the mail waiting on me. I will definitely be back! read more

Horrible experience when you check your customer out and do not greet them (first of all), tells me the total. Yet, I have been a customer For 10 years...never do I get told about the awards system. After I scan my debit card, I ask..."so do I have any rewards ??" And she replies "I have to cancel the transaction and see I didn't look"...I replied ,"ok? Isn't that your job to look and tell me ?" Had an appointment for a cut with Natalia. I will admit I was a few minute late for the appointment, maybe three. That was on me, and when I went in she had someone else in her chair, told us to take a seat. We understandably realized our fault. However twenty minutes went by with no communication, and the whole store acting like we did not exist. The appointment we had was just for a simple cut, on someone with short hair who just needed a little cut off the top. We never got the haircut- as we waited forty minutes with no explanations, or commutations. We waited nearly an hour and left as the store closed in ten minutes. We are not blaming her for not taking the appointment right away, it was our fault for being late. However it was extremely rude and unprofessional to act as if we weren't even there and to let us sit like that for almost an hour. Extremely disappointed and would not recommend this ulta or stylist;Natalia to anyone. read more

I go to the salon there and I'm confused. The girl who does my hair for the last few years gives an outstanding cut then the same one the next time is so so at best. Give her another chance and it's great. Went yesterday and its just OK. Kept asking for layers said she was but there really aren't. I thought the $ 40.00 they charged was a lot but yesterday got charged $52.00 and I'll probably go to someone else to try to make it look a little better soon. I was hoping to have this for a few months but it will look really bad in a month. Time to find someone else. Not sure who to even go to. read more

This isn't my first time here, and this isn't the first time I've felt uncomfortable or felt I was treated poorly. I simply walked in, browsed around, then went up to the counter to wait in line. I came today to ask if I could get my brows done at the Benefit Brow Bar. I waited in line behind three customers, and each person was treated kindly and with a smile. I get up to the cashier and immediately her mood changes. I ask in my "high pitched southern I'm the sweetest little girl you've ever met" accent and this helps to no avail. She looks at me like an idiot, then just sits there. I ask if the Brow Bar is open and when will it be open. She again gives me a puzzled look then snidley says any time before five. I just walk out. Ive gotten the same reaction in the past when last year I was inquiring about an available position. I don't know if it was the fact I have not done my makeup (I react to waxing so there was no point in getting dolled up) or I'm not a reoccurring customer above thirty. I have no problem never coming back here again! Treat people how you want to be treated. :( read more

I was at this store yesterday on my lunch hour looking for an eyeliner. The sign said 5 for 27.00. The cosmetic clerk was on her way to lunch and her replacement was talking to another customer. When she was done speaking with her she turned to walk away. I said excuse me I could use some assistance. She stopped short and angrily turned around as if I were a complete annoyance. When I asked about the sign she said rudely "that was a Christmas sale they are gone now." She was about to walk away again when I had to ask her if there were any individual ones of the same brand. She said yup, they are down there and pointed to the bottom shelf about 2" from the floor. Again she walked away and went over to the front register so she could finish her conversation with the other clerk. If I were the manager of that store I would have all of the out of stock Christmas item sales signs off of the shelves the day after Christmas, I would also have that clerk out of my store as quickly as possible. I will not shop here again, I would much rather go to Sephora where the Sales women are polite and helpful and their inventory is up to date. read more
