If you have floated in the "pods" but never anything else, you definitely should try Solace instead. Their float pool is private, huge, and MUCH better than a pod. If you have never floated before, you will be "spoiled" after floating here and will not be satisfied with the pods. This float pool is MUCH bigger. It is completely open, but you can be in total darkness with no claustrophobia to worry about since you aren't shut in. At this establishment I booked my appointment with Ashley and was greeted by her and guided into and through a very relaxing, comfortable, and amazing experience. From the sparkling clean changing room, to the posh relaxation/waiting room and ultimately to my private shower and float room everything was amazing. Ashley was friendly, yet professional and warm. I truly felt valued and cared for. The float tank/pool itself was large enough that I could fully extend my arms to the sides or top (my legs, too) and I still could float without contact on the sides. I'm about 6 feet tall, so it is very roomy. The shower and provided products and accommodations are all very good. The cost is a good value, and the experience overall was superb. It you have never floated before, there are all sorts of reasons to try it. Some medical, some spiritual, some metaphysical, and some just simply to experience relaxation beyond normal. I floated for a combination of reasons. I needed to relax, I needed pain relief, and I wanted to meditate a bit. I was able to do all three.

Salon's I've went to in the past colored my hair in ways that damaged it and made me look like it was colored badly and Todd has made it look more natural even though my grey's are trying to take over! I asked for a chin length bob (which was not that different from the shoulder length bob I started with) and ended up with eye-length swooping bangs and a mullet. During the cut, I worried because he was pulling large chunks of hair and cutting straight across. However, I am not a stylist and thought that maybe he had a method I'd never seen. He also kept theatrically spinning the scissors dangerously close to my eyes. It was unnecessary and made me nervous. The worst part was that absolutely nothing lined up or made sense--the back had long strands hanging down, the sides were uneven, and the layers were weirdly short and chunky. I tried to be positive as I left the salon but ended up in tears before I got home. I've never cried about a haircut, but this was absolutely terrible. I truly do not know how this salon stays in business. The stylist who fixed it asked if the original stylist was under the influence because it was so uneven and the technique was incomprehensible. I do not enjoy trashing a local salon, but the reviews do not accurately represent my experience, and I feel compelled to speak up.
