Went in to find some cosmetics for my needs and had a gift card and money for whatever I needed. I couldn't get the time of day from anyone like I wasn't even there. I wondered around the whole store without acknowledgement from any employee. I finally caught a girl stocking shelves and asked for 1 of the products I needed and she took me to an depleted aisle saying they had a big sale and that's what was left. She turned a walked away leaving me to navigate on my own. After that I just walked out and left out of frustration and embarrassment. So now I've got a worthless gift card and a bad taste in my mouth from this experience. Guess customer service doesn't exist for all with your company. WOW!!! JUST WOW!!!! Just went there for a haircut and nobody was waiting so I thought I finally had some good luck. Get in there and she tells me she didn't bring any of her tools to cut hair so she could use a pair of scissors and do a hatchet job but that's the best she could do. Why would you be a hairstylist and not bring your tools to work? The biggest thing is you wonder why there's nobody there, incompetence is easily spread through reviews like this. What a joke. Rebecka at Ulta Salon was so amazing . I went in with very long wavy hair and cut it in a stacked swing bob . She walked me through step by step during the process since i told her i had some bad experiences previously when getting this cut . She did so well and was so easy to talk to . Stacey , the manager was incredibly helpful as well even making suggestions to rebecka to help with my horribly vague description of the length i wanted in the back . I used to live in Mobile, Al and the Salon there was great, but when I moved to Montgomery, AL that Salon deserves zero stars. I made an appointment online and got an email confirmation, when I arrived at Ulta for my appointment I was told that I didn't have an appointment, was offer no compensation or even a new appointment. So, I decided to find somewhere else. I spoke with the store in Mobile and they offered to help me get an appoint with the salon in Montgomery. I got an appointment and was very satisfied with Sheena, she offered to make me a follow up appointment and I received a texted with that appointment. I arrived at Ulta for that appointment only to find out that Sheena no longer worked at Ulta and all of her appointments had been cancelled but that the Salon had not contacted any of her clients had not been contacted about this. Ulta offered to make me a new appointment (but did not offer any type of compensation for my inconvenience, i.e., discount), the only opening being was the following week. I made the appointment. On the day of the appointment, I received a phone call from Ulta to tell me that the person I was supposed to see had "car broke down" and they had to cancel my appointment, they did not offer to reschedule. This is the 3rd time the Ulta had either forgotten or cancelled my appointed. So, I am now going to find somewhere else cause it seems that this Salon does not want my business. read more

Came in one afternoon with my daughter and shopped around for about 45 minutes bringing about $200 worth of merchandise to the counter, all to find out that their credit card machine was not working for some apparent reason and would not except cards with a chip. They suggested I pay another way and offered no apology whatsoever. Being unable to pay any other way, my daughter and I left and she was quite upset she did not understand why we could not get the things that we picked out. It was my first, and my last experience at that store. So no big deal. But I would not recommend this location if you plan to pay with a credit card that has a chip. I tried to get them to swipe the magnetic stripe or enter it manually but they did not attempt to do so. I also tried to write a review through the company but they've made no effort to contact me and/or offer me any explanation whatsoever. Yeah, first and last for sure. Unpleasant experience. I was able to snag a last minute hair appointment with Leighanne. I was coming in from out of state & desperately needed a cut & full color right before Christmas. Leighanne was the best from the start. She talked through exactly what I wanted for color and style so there were no missed expectations. She gave me a perfect haircut, great color and even tamed my crazy eyebrows. I walked in feeling like a ragged hag & walked out feeling pretty! In addition to being a skilled hairdresser she had the most amazing personality - she was so sweet and I easily held a light & lovely conversation with her throughout my hour + appointment. Absolutely worth every penny I spent on the services! The salon was nicely equipped for comfort and it was nice to be able to browse in the store while my hair color set. read more
