Big fan of makeup, so naturally, I love Ulta! They have a great selection of high-end makeup brands (Stila, Urban Decay, Too Faced, Tarte, etc.) as well as a nice selection of fragrances. They have a wide selection in general. The drugstore brands such as Maybelline, Revlon, Cover Girl, and etc. are more expensive than they would be if you walked across the plaza and purchased them at Walmart. The place is clean and bright, and there's usually not too many people in here. My cashier was very pleasant and friendly, and made sure I knew what I was buying. (I was buying a face powder for my mother who is a few shades darker than I am, and she made sure I knew it wouldn't be my color.) She also commented on a few purchases with things like "Oh, I love this!" "This is so cute." "You're gonna love this." etc. They have really cute holiday-themed gift sets during the holidays, too! I was in the store with a friend when a man came in acting really erratically, which made me uncomfortable right away. He was very close to me at one point and I personally saw he had a knife on him, which was really scary for everyone around. He ended up stealing a Dyson after messing with the security device and leaving the store. People around were clearly shaken and felt unsafe during it. What stood out to me was that staff didn't say anything about what was happening or reassure customers, just the normal 'do you need help finding anything' while walking around. I get there's only so much employees can do, but I would've expected some kind of response or acknowledgement after something that serious. I didn't feel safe and won't be going back. I will never return to Ulta after the way I was treated by the GM, Ashley. I was in this afternoon to pick up my free MAC lipgloss that was supposed to be given to me yesterday with the purchase of $60 or more. The MAC rep was there and super sweet. I totally understand mistakes happen. I called and they told me to bring the receipt in to get the gloss. After waiting for quite some time a lady came out clearly annoyed, walking aggressive and just rude. . She handed me a bag and walked away immediately. I asked the very sweet cashier to please call her back up as I wanted the lip gloss (I was supposed to receive both) She came back more annoyed and straight up said "I don't know what you want me to do". It's perfectly fine that are out, it was the lack of customer service, treating me like I was an imposition and honestly straight up rude. I know she could have offered something else, or even a simple apology. I really hope she doesn't treat her staff or other customers the way she treated me. I'm actually really sad because are I've always loved Ulta. I'm not for here, I flew from AZ my luggage was left behind so I had to purchase all new product + clothes. This place is okay if you just wanna grab a product you need real quick. But if you need actual help with makeup, skincare, or hair don't bother with the "beauty advisors" here. They don't hire people who actually know anything about these products or their application, and they dont train them how to help customers- they hire pushy sales people who will follow you around trying to push their credit card but can't answer basic makeup questions. First the constant alarm non stop was a stressful shopping experience when asking for help someone said they would then vanished. Asked two more people and they catered only to the men who walked in the store. I'm a diamond member and have been using ulta credit for years and I received NO gifts my emailed scan coupons didn't work and were received 1 day ago in email and I paid 500 for a bag the size of one market basket bag of items. When I am utilizing credit I like response and people who know makeup. This place used to have good staff now it's attitudes and alarms going off consistently from a perfume isle where nobody is in it and nobody bothers to fix it. After such a nice experience, I feel I need to reduce my rating to 1 star. The Ulta salon in Seabrook has lost my trust and respect. I made an appointment over a month ago for my daughter to get her hair styled for the prom. They knew the importance of the appointment, but canceled two days before the event and now I am stuck as, obviously, all the salons in the area are booked up that day. Appointment was canceled due to the stylist deciding to take the day off. Ulta did not do anything to help the situation and did not sound sympathetic when they called. Extremely unprofessional. This rating is based solely on my customer service experience via the phone, which contrasted greatly with the reviews below. I called the store to inquire if they had a specific shade of a product that was sold out everywhere else (the Ulta website indicated they might have it). It turned out they didn't, but the associate was so kind in looking for it in-store and letting me know what to do to ensure I can get it as soon as it restocks. My younger sister was so excited to get her hair done for senior pictures. With covid disrupting so much of her high school life (which she, unlike most, is thrilled everyday to be a part of) she went in to get a full balayage and baby lights, and sat for 3 hours paying obscene money to get it done. Can't thank the Ulta Seabrook employees enough - especially Shayla. On Saturday, I paid for my products - got to my car and realized that I didn't have my phone. I went back into the store, as I was almost positive I left it at the register. It wasn't there. It had died on my way into the store - so I couldn't trace it. I looked around the store where I was and didn't see it anywhere. I went home and searched my car completely - no phone. I called Ulta and spoke to Shayla - asked her if she could please review the video footage from when I was there. Now, this is a Sat during Christmas - they were VERY busy - she could have told me that I had to wait, but - she immediately reviewed the footage. When she called me back, she said that she spoke to loss prevention and that I should file a police report. She said she had seen something on the video, but needed to give all information to the police. So, that was what I did. Long story short - I got my phone back that very night. I truly believe it wouldn't have happened without Shayla's prompt assistance - the police were not hopeful. I can't thank Shayla and the Ulta employees enough for their assistance! read more

When I got the flyer for this new Ulta store a while back, I didn't think much of it. I figured I'd get there eventually. When I finally got around to checking it out, I was actually very impressed by the size and product selection. Now that I've been several times, I've become less than delighted. The store is clean and (very!) brightly lit. They carry department store brand cosmetics like Maybelline & Cover Girl as well as more expensive products like Urban Decay, Tarte and Stila (amongst others). They also carry some exclusive store brands like Body Shop. Prices are OK but not the best deal around on everything. Also, be careful! There were two different occasions that something rang up more money than it had been marked on the shelf. Both times the employees had some excuse but did change it - after I mentioned the price that was marked. The employees are not at all customer service oriented. Most are placed among the pricy makeup products and don't stray to the cheaper side of the store. They can't tell you much about anything but dang they are trained to sell you stuff! If you want to buy something they are happy to sell you more than what you ever thought you wanted or needed. Just be careful because their recommendations? Yeah, they're wrong a lot. On two separate occasions I bought a foundation and a loose powder, both way darker than what I should have gotten. Now I wouldn't have minded but I paid almost $40 each for this stuff. Then there was the concealer, finally got what I needed on the third trip. They're also happy to get you to join their Ulta reward club. But don't you dare ask a question about anything to do with that - if you do, it's off to the toll free number for you! Also, most of their "better brands" are excluded from sales and such so don't get too excited about their 20% off discounts. Almost 100 product lines are excluded, more if you count each of the "all fragrance brands" separately. I've been to this location numerous times and have never had a pleasant experience. I went today and my friend had returned a couple things and from the beginning the assistant manager had an issue for some odd reason. I wish i caught her name, but she was a shorter girl. As we shopped around we were basically being followed the entire time like we were trying to steal something. I've experienced this a bunch of times, this definitely wasn't the first, but it was completely obvious we were being watched which is not my ideal way to shop. Next time, the manager should be helping the people who need help. If i didn't need my products today, I would have gone another day to a different location but I'll definitely be taking my money elsewhere from now on. read more

My niece got her hair done (not an up do because the hair dresser said it would look bad) wth? She did curls hanging down and guess what they already came out before prom! HORRIBLE. I loyally have my hair, skin, and brows done with Ulta and I could not be happier. Both Tasha and Nico at the brow bar are fabulous and take the time to discuss with you what you want from the appointment and how to achieve that. The salon manager, Shannon, has also gone above and beyond to take care of my hair. I know Shannon is extremely busy because I see clients hopping in and out of her chair, but she never makes me feel rushed or like I'm not getting 100% from my appointment. I'm shocked at two negative reviews here. First off, one of them seemed to be regarding the hair salon. Some people are never happy regardless of which hairdresser they choose. Still, even if she had a legitimate complaint, she basically put down the whole store and that isn't fair. I shopped there often last summer.....while living at my summer place.....and the employees couldn't have been nicer. If someone didn't know something yet they would find you someone that did. A very nice young man was very well informed actually. Honestly, sometimes there are new employees in any business....they are learning the store, where everything is located...and are constantly bombarded with new products they have to educate themselves on (high end products are not always a quick study). I just really like it there. I have my app on my phone, I get my $3.50 off of my $10+ purchase, they will let me know if there are any other offerings available and they have drugstore products....almost ALL of them. Also, they had 'COLOR WOW', something Sephora doesn't even carry. Expensive but a great product. (Sephora doesn't carry drugstore brands either....I don't know how they will survive against ULTA). Less than one if possible. My review is on the hair salon. I 1st went there because it was close and 1st cut was reasonable enough. The stylist was ok not bad not good but I made another appointment with her before i left- in 6 weeks. I received the conformation phone call and showed up for my scheduled appointment, i planned just enough time before i had to go to work. Well the stylist had stepped out for a break, i sat and waited and waited. Finally i asked if someone else could cut my hair as i had to get to work! This stylist was good i enjoyed her and the way she did my hair. For the next several months i made an appointment for every 6 weeks. It was pricey but it was close and i did like Meagan. I got a call a few minutes ago from someone at the salon saying that Meagan was no longer with them and they wanted to let me know. Well ok people move on so i said ok, stuff happens BUT THEN she told me they could not honor my appointment that i had made. WHAT no other stylist?? I have to change my appointment? The appointment by the way is December 27. Good luck this is the 2nd and last time you do this to me. I will go somewhere where I am appreciated. Every time i went there it was empty or one other person- i expected they will close soon. Overpriced and no loyalty and crap service.
