The order & pick up method needs a major overhaul. After I waited in line, I had the same issue with the woman at the register not wanting to leave the desk to walk 10 feet over to the "pick up" area. When someone finally did come over to help me, several extra steps (unnecessary, I may add) were taken to scan the order in and hand it over to me. If an order's already been pulled, wrapped and stickered with my name, why are we scanning, unwrapping and scanning again before I can take it and leave the store? This location is convenient for the most part, but if the pick up method doesn't change soon, I'll just be ordering from somewhere else. read more

I don't normally write reviews and most of the people who work here are very nice, but a few weeks ago I popped in for a salon consult. I didn't want to bother cause I saw that the salon lady was already servicing someone. so I waited until someone came up to the counter. One lady did and I told her I wanted a highlight and root touch up and i asked how much that'd cost. she looked at me like she was grossed out by me and said under her breath "yeah girl we can tell you need that" then just gave me the price chart and left. we all have bad days! and she looked like she was in a hurry. So I understand being brief but the comment was not necessary. for reference i am a 17 year old girl and she looked like she was in her late 20s. How weird. I didn't get her name because I walked out very quick because i was kinda embarrassed about the whole interaction . so for now I'm skipping going to this Ulta and just ordering online lol read more

Went into Purchase new makeup. Many thanks of the testers were dirty and had product spilled all over them. When I did finally find a foundation I wanted to buy, no stock and no salesperson to ask, I walked all around the store, finally gave up on that item. When I got to checkout, the line was 6-7 people deep, and 1 person at the register completing a transaction for a return and purchase using multiple gift cards. Many people just stood in line shaking their heads. When it was finally my turn, I decided to "kill 'Em with kindness" so I said hello and attempted to make conversation as she rang up my purchases. No response, no "hello" only can I get your phone number! Really! Then after an $ 80.00 purchase (could have been DOUBLE or more with some customer service!) The salesclerk thrusts a rumpled paper bag at me! WHAT! A paper lunch Sack?? really is this the best you can do? I saw another lady come back and request a fabric bag, but by this time I was done. The only reason I bought what I did at this location is I have a family wedding coming up, and didn't want to drive to McKinney and spend a whole daub Sad store, unresponsive customer service and as for the paper lunch sacks, RIDICULOUS! read more

Tried getting assistance to purchase foundation. Checker said someone would help me. She wouldn't leave the register to help, even though she didn't have customers. I approached an assistant who was stocking merchandise and she said she'd be right with me. she didn't come and so I tracked her down again and she said 'I told you I would help you after I finished putting these things away.' She was not happy that I interrupted her stocking. I suppose stocking merchandise is more important than paying customers. I will never go back to this store. read more

Terrible customer service and no product knowledge. I can't ever get assistance without having to ask multiple times where things are located or just a "what can I help you find today". I had went to the counter for assistance today because I wanted to exchange my foundation for something that would suit my skin better (I've taken recommendations 3 times now and have had to return and exchange because the product doesn't work well with my skin) I figured I would ask for help with a product I was looking for and was told it was "over there somewhere" I asked if there was any foundation left by the brand and she said "very little" and continued stocking.. I saw that someone else had the same encounter today as well and this is beyond unacceptable. I also work in the beauty industry and I've never had a good customer service experience here. This location needs to REHIRE people who want to genuinely help people and give them a good experience..I will be driving to McKinney from now on. read more

They ask for your phone number if you want to return anything. Then during a pandemic they require you to touch their dirty kiosk screen multiple times. Once to not donate to their charity so they can get the tax benefits and again for receipt options so they can sell your email address. Never again. Back to ordering online. read more

No one greeted us, my daughter is getting her hair cut and no one is speaking to her, I had to flag someone down to get help. The displays are a nasty mess.... if there's even product where it's supposed to be. Not to mention, they are CLEARLY out of dress code. And the lady who seems to be the manager (African American lady with long curly hair) seems to be the rudest and least professionally dressed of them all. I spend a lot of money at Ulta but will definitely be making different choices about locations from now on..... read more

I love makeup, and this is the closest Ulta to me (an hour away) so I always patronize this store. I'm usually always greeted and yesterday I was asked 3 times if I needed help. My mother was with me and she was asking advice on hair products, to which one of the employees told her that she had beautiful hair; she's been on cloud nine since lol. Anyway, they were out of the 2 things I was after, but I left with my beloved smash box primer. Will keep going back. read more

Went shopping there a while ago they told us they had a 90 day policy I put it on my phone how far out that would be so I would know to stay under that in case I need to take it back in case of an allergic reaction or something..:so we had to take the products back we were well under the 90 day policy and were told that oh well we changed that to a 30 day return policy! So since you're past it and you have to settle for a merchandise card I said ; no my receipt says 90 day policy! oh I'm sorry we can't can't do anything to help you you can have a merchandise card! Why in the heck would I want that plus I spent $342 ithey gave us $198 back on a gift card where is the rest? The Gil said said Well I don't know or care they didn't offer any assistance and they said you need to hurry and leave we're closing. Don't think I won't be on the phone with corporate as soon as possible this is a crap return policy it's one thing to change but it should not be retroactive but from a set date. I sure wish everyone that worked here could hate their job a little more. I've worked in customer service my whole life and I've learned that your mood is usually more obvious than you would think. The guy that checked me out had an attitude from hell, and sighed heavily when I told him I had a few coupons I'd like to use from my email. It took me literally less than 30 seconds to pull them up. I had one for a free Laura Geller highlighter which he had to take the time to correct my phrasing on the name as if it even mattered. I love Ulta but I'm never coming to this one again. Went in for a new foundation, I found one I loved for what I thought was a great price. Upon check out I realized the signs they had up in the store were not reflecting what was on the register... after check out I went and asked the lead cashier (who was not at the registers I may add) that the sign was incorrect and asked if they could honor it. She asked her manager and the manager said no. Instead of immediately letting me do a refund, she sat at the register and made me wait in line for another 30 minutes. All while the two store managers sat and watched. The new girl at the register did a better job at giving me good customer service than ANYONE in the store. As a former loyal customer, I will never be coming back again. read more

We walked in the Sherman Ulta looking for a straightener. No one ever asked if they could help. Most of the girls working there were in the front corner laughing and flirting with some man, and being loud. I finally told the girl up at the register what we wanted, and her help was if it's not on the shelf we don't have it. There are Ultas in Rockwall, McKinney, and Plano where the customer service is much better. I won't go back to the one in Sherman. read more

This store always looks nice and stocked but don't expect any help or to even be greeted when you come in. I've been going here since they opened last year and I'm usually not asked if I need help finding anything. Stephanie is the only employee that always asks me if I need anything and shows me similar products to what I'm looking for. She's a pleasure to see when I come in. read more
