I visited this Ulta to ask a quick question about products for my curly hair. I approached one of the salon stylists while she was with a customer and she did answer my question, which I appreciated. However, after that, I overheard her say something that sounded like "I don't have time for that," and it made me feel uncomfortable almost like she was talking about me. I understand that stylists can be busy and might not be able to step away from a client, but the comment came off dismissive and left me feeling awkward. I wasn't trying to interrupt; I just needed quick guidance. I hope the staff can be a little more mindful in the future, even when they're busy, so customers don't feel brushed off. My daughter and I went in for foundation matching. The associates were nice, but mine was definitely too orange.

Left frustrated. The first time I went to get my hair dyed I didn't obtain the results I wanted and was told I could come back and get it fixed. I went today and left with the same results from the previous time. I was told they didn't have the exact colors for my hair and I get it things happen, but I would have appreciated if someone had call me to let me know that the fix wasn't possible so I didn't get my hopes up and avoided the drive to this place. Haylee was amazing and extremely kind and patient with me. Had a $100 gift card to spend and had no idea where to even start, I asked her to color match me (she is sooooo good!) Patiently took me different spots of the store to try different brands, she's very knowledgeable and detailed oriented. I also dealt with a few other girls and they were so nice too!!! Just such a pleasant experience overall. I haven't been inside an Ulta in a whileeeee but my next stop is the salon, I totally need a good haircut (my hair is crazy, haven't had a cut in a while). It's really hard to find someone that will do a good job, and the girls spoke very highly of the salon so I am excited to give it a try soon. Will take a before and after and update my review. And in regards to Haylee, give this girl a raise!!!!!!!! There is no option for a cancel order as Kohl's and Amazon do. I immediately called customer service- they said they canceled the order after a half hour in the phone. I went in to Ulta on Palm beach lakes today with my son(4 months old) in a stroller ,my daughter and my sister to buy my daughter some hair products and there was a customer there having an argument with a staff member. I tried to walk past the customer and i said excuse me and she would not move and told us to go around and so we did. and then she proceeded to say she is going to throw our stroller and the baby in it and spit on the baby. she threatened my baby and no one did anything about it. I literally was the only one to call the cops. I don't understand why the store employees did not call the cops or tell her to leave or call security or anything. I felt very unsafe in this store and I will not be going back. I had to get the cops to escort me to my car because I felt unsafe. read more

Walked in to Ulta yesterday and wanted to get my brows done at the Benefit bar. Elvins Thompson was on his way out the door because his shift was ending but kindly offered to stay and help me. I was so glad he did. I got my eyebrows waxed and tinted and it was the best that anybody has ever done! Elvins was patient and meticulous and in no way did he rush at all. He took his time and went through each step, showing me along the way to make sure I was satisfied. He was so kind and such a pleasure to conversate with. He made sure each hair was in place while helping me with the shape and arch in my brows, which so desperately needed help. Ultra Beauty has a pretty good selection of makeups, hair products and fragrances. I specially find it easy to get my profession quality hair products at this store. The prices are pretty competitive. Their season sales allows you to get great deals on some amazing products. The sale's reps are helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. The store itself is fairly organized and clean. I do find the checkout lines relatively long at times but other than that it is great place to shop for your Beaty needs. read more

After being at 3 different Sephora stores looking for the right special occasion face makeup foundation I finally found the right one!! Thanks to the help of Omar he directed me to the correct products that would work perfectly on my skin!!! He also found the right shade that matches. I wish I had come here first and especially found Omar to help me with this. He really knows his cosmetics and how to prepare and apply them extremely well. I had on my list of things I needed and asked his opinion, he not only gave me his opinion because he knew how those products worked but he gave me better choices from other brands that I didn't know about. I'm a regular shopper of ULTA, as indicated by my Platinum status. But that's not to say I come for the service. In fact, if it weren't for the great deals (and decent return policy) then I would be a sold out, exclusive Sephora buyer (I'm VIB there too, btw). This is the newest ULTA store to the area, but also has the lowest standards. If you need a hair cut, go down the street. If you want a gel manicure, avoid PB Lakes Blvd altogether. If you want to return anything, get ready to argue because the manager doesn't want to honor anything unless you show her the fine print. If you want a better ULTA experience in general, go to Wellington or PB Gardens. It's worth the extra 25 min in traffic. read more

She didn't seem very experienced. I assumed all the employees working for benefit were trained to wax brows correctly. I went to one in Orlando and she was fabulous. Re: Salon & Vincent After almost a decade, I made the transition from long hair to a short style. Given I wanted a quality cut, I looked around and had heard great reviews of Vincent, so I kept him in mind. I happened to be in the store one day and he approached me and assisted me with my hair care concerns. His knowledge, patience, and ability to combined your interests with your hair type secured in my mind to schedule my hair cut & style with him. Vincent took his time throughout the service to make sure it was perfect. He provided a proper consultation to review photos and discuss options of how the styles of interest would work with my hair, face shape, etc. You can tell he is a professional who takes pride in the quality of his work and the results were amazing. I am usually hunting for the cheapest quick cut, but I definitely change my tune for a Vincent. Re: Store Per some yelpers complaints as not being approached as much as they prefer, I like that the staff isn't all over you. I moved down recently and it had been 5 months since my last cut and highlight. I finally decided to take the plunge and seek out a new salon. Appointments for the Ulta salon can conveniently be made online and you will get an email reminder which you can immediately add to you preferred calendar service. The location is convenient in the Palm Beach Lakes Outlet plaza. The salon itself is on the other side of the plaza (the Wholefoods side) so parking and getting in and out is simple and less congested. The salon itself is located at the back of the Ulta store. It is very open and airy. The work stations are clean, well spaced, and bright. The color station is on the back wall and was also kept very clean. There is a separate shampoo room so you don't need to prance around with wet hair. Restrooms are in close proximity. It has a good flowing floor plan. I arrived about 15 minutes early for my appointment with Jane (the salon manager with 18 years of experience) and she was able to take me right away. We talked cut and highlight; she also recommended some lowlights, and we were on our way. They use Redken color products which are extremely gentle on your hair. Generally it takes my hair some time to recover from a highlight, but this time it was still silky smooth after the service. The shampoo room is small, but comfortable and well laid out. Jane did a fantastic job with my cut and didn't hesitate at all to make sure my angles and length were exactly how I like them. She "listened" to my hair. She did some point cutting so it laid well and ensured my part was correct and that everything would work for my styling habits (which rarely include product or styling tools...) I was overall really satisfied with everything. To address the previous reviews, I'd not hesitate to come back again (I already have my follow up appointment) now that the opening jitters are gone and they have hit their stride. I love Ulta as a company. Their loyalty program far outweighs Sephora and they have a great selection of drugstore and prestige brands. The problem I have is with the maintenance of the store itself and the customer service. The store is so dirty and messy it completely turns me off to shopping there. Who wants to go to a display where the testers are falling apart, with lipsticks ground into their packaging, and just general filthiness? It's disgusting. And the staff clearly has no pride in their store because they're too busy chatting with each other to care. I once saw 5 employees taking a selfie by the Benefit counter while I just stared at them waiting for help until I had to interrupt their photo shoot to finally get someone to help me. The store was alright and the security guard was clueless to what he's suppose to be doing in there. I had to use the restroom cause I had a feminine emergency and I asked if using the restroom was okay. With a blunt dead face, he says "your purse has to be in the front counter( near register)" rudely and just walks away. Totally fine with leaving my bag there, I just needed to use the restroom. I waited in line so I could leave it to a worker and once they came, I handed her my bag. In the end she ends up saying that they are not allowed to keep it if something goes missing. I'm there standing stupidly, thankfully my friend who was looking around offered to take my bag. For someone who just walks around the store, he could least know the right protocol and just not have wasted my time. Not only I got turned off buying from there after using the restroom, I've just had it with the disrespect. I simply just wanted to use the restroom and tried to follow the rules. I ended up feeling shitty afterwards. Come to this Ulta and check out the clueless security guard who walks around and gets paid for doing nothing. read more

I only gave three stars because I love their products so much. I normally get all of my makeup at this ulta location. But their customer service is HORRIBLE. I've walked in numerous times & never got acknowledged until checkout time. Just was there yesterday & I was looking all over for something because they rearranged the makeup in the store & couldn't find it. There were no associates to be found. A 'benefits' person had to direct me to where I needed which was nice but she was strictly for Benefits. No Ulta associates were there to help. This was my first and last Ulta shopping experience. 3 ladies were chatting it up at the front when I entered. I began to search for my brand of cosmetics. About twenty minutes of me wandering around the store later no one offered to help. I did, however, continue to hear all the chatting and giggling at the front of the register (no one in line by the way). A customer asked me for help, even though I don't work there!! I called on a Friday afternoon, near Christmas, and they made time for me with Carly. I had never been to the salon or met Carly before so I was a little nervous. No need, she was wonderful! She took my medium length brassy brown hair to a luxurious neutral brown. The color is holding up really well. Squeezing me into her schedule meant that she and the other stylist had to juggle clients so no one was left waiting. They did that with smiles and hid their stress well, true professionals! The price was very reasonable for a root touch up with a gloss on the rest of my hair. I haven't found a stylist I really like in a few years, but I already have my next appointment booked!
