MY Mother purchased a 2013 Dodge Avenger vehicle from Kimmy and Sal a year and 2 months ago for me. The vehicle cost $8,000. They assured us that everything was new and fixed on the vehicle and that they had recently did work on the vehicle so we had nothing to worry about! However, about 2 weeks ago I noticed my cars check engine light was on and my car was overheating! On my way to take it to an auto repair shop to have it looked (as, every thing was closed during this time) the car began to smoke and stall and eventually it cut off. I then had it towed to the dealership and to have it looked at and possibly fixed. The dealership called me and said that they hooked my car up to the diagnostic machine and found that the head gasket was blown! I then asked the dealership if they knew how this could happen so abruptly and they said they were going to investigate and get back to me as, they didn't understand how my head gasket could blow within the time frame it did!
The dealership called back and stated that the mechanic did some digging and through investigating the head gasket had been previously sealed and the sealant wore off and is why the head gasket leaked and caused my car to overheat! Furthermore, I then called Ultimate Auto and spoke with Kimmy. I told her what the dealership found to be wrong with the car! Kimmy then said "bring the car to the shop to have Sal take a look and fix it the dealership is just making up things to get money out of you". I told her that the dealership did not need to do that as, they had no reason to they had already diagnosed the issue! I then called my towing company to get the car towed to them and my towing company informed me that once they tow it to Ultimate Auto they would not be towing it back if the car could not be fixed as, I only get one tow per break down unless the car was going to one of their "shops". I called Kimmy back and told what the tow company said and she said " Oh you won't need towing you are going to be driving your vehicle out of our shop trust me I know Sal can fix it". I was so excited. After 2 days of my car being at their shop I got a call from Kimmy saying that my car could not be fixed and my motor was blown and that the dealership did something to my motor and the switched and said not having an oil change caused it. I called the dealership to see if they knew anything about the oil causing this and to let verify that my motor was not gone prior to my car being towed to Ultimate Auto! The dealership verified that my motor was not blown and that me needing an oil change had nothing to do with my head gasket blowing due to the sealer wearing off that had been previous used to seal the head gasket! I then called my Mom and boy was she was livid. She then called Kimmy and Kimmy was so nasty and rude to my Mother and called her a nasty B.... and hung up the phone while screaming that my car needed to be off of their lot by the following day! I then called and spoke to them and they tried to get out of the promise they made me to fix the car they kept trying to say the motor was blown before they got the car and so on. I then said I can not get the car home and you all promised to fix it not to mention what the dealership is saying. Kimmy then said she would help me and she would talk to Sal to see what they could do. From that point they were harassing me to come get my car and that they weren't going to help me do anything! They threatned to have my car impounded and to file a police report against me for harassment as, I only responded to their calls and texts harassing me to get my car or pleading with them to work something out with me as, my car was now stuck and I am without transportation! So the end result is they harrased me and I ended up paying to have my car towed from their shop. I filed a civil claim and will see them in court! I truly believe they did something to my motor by trying to start it to many times or worse!! read more
