This was an incredible kayaking journey! My family and I have kayaked a ton throughout our lives/vacations and this was a great and relaxing experience. Just by watching their advertising is enough to stay away. They fake imaginary beaches only accessible by kayak. They fake the location, claiming to be in Siesta Key Beach. Even their name is deceiving, SRQ, seriously? Then when you call them out, they block you and delete your comments. That should tell you everything. The address can say Siesta Key, but they're not in Siesta Key Beach as they claim in their advertising. They are located at Turtle Beach, which is one of the ugliest beaches in the whole country. Wonderful - Our kayak was ready in the water when we arrived for our reservation and we were kindly greeted by the staff. The cost was an average kayak rental price, so we were happy with that too. It was very low tide and we got stuck a few times, but that's how nature goes. If we are ever in the area again, we will be kayaking with Ultimate Kayak SRQ again! read more

Then I get an email saying thanks fir using them. Don't rent from this company. They do t return calls or emails and care about safety if their customers. I booked a mangrove tour and within 20 minutes received a call stating that they had to cancel my reservation due to the guide leaving for the day. I requested a refund and was told that it would be processed immediately. After 4 days I called back asking about the refund and was told they were going to process it now. This was our first time kayaking as a family and it was such a great tour!!! Dave was amazing and he made sure that myself and my parents were comfortable in their kayaks and if we needed any help he would be there. It was such a great first experience!! We have now found a new love towards kayaking and we cannot wait to do it again! We went through the mangroves and to a private beach only accessible by boat or Kayak. Dave was very knowledgeable and was able to give us some fun facts along the way. Was truly a great experience! No one ever showed up for our tour even after multiple calls, emails, and reports to the park ranger. They have also not refunded my $80 fee. read more

In all fairness, I have no frame of reference as far as other kayak rentals/tours, but we had a terrific experience with these guys. Squeezed us in relatively last minute, guide was super patient and an excellent teacher to our frustrated 12 year old, and the tour was really beautiful. pretty awful experience here. i booked on line 45 minutes before my arrival time for 4 people to kayak at Turtle Bay- cost $158.20. We arrived on time and were told by Ultimate Kayak attendant that he did not recommend going out since wind was blowing at morning at 25 knots. He tried to call owner but no answer and told us he would get in touch with him and handle a refund since they did not recommend us kayaking as wind made it dangerous. I then called the office 4 times over the next three days and left messages explaining what had happened- crickets- no call back, no response. I then wrote an email, again nothing. Finally, I disputed charge with my credit card company and more disappointment. i have never written a review like this , but i find it inexcusable that the owner could not call back and provide either a refund or at the least a credit- his own employee told us not to go out. If you decide to use this kayak company, make sure it is on a calm day because otherwise you may experience the same poor treatment trying to get any type of satisfaction. I reserved kayaks for November 27th and decided to go with another company. I called 40 hours and 28 hours in advance plus emailed twice to cancel with no response. Now I have a charge and can still not get ahold of a person to dispute it. NOT HAPPY!!!!! read more

I would absolutely NOT recommend this establishment. I called about 7 times because I wanted to change the number of kayaks I was renting. NO ONE EVER CALLED ME BACK, so I drove to the launch at Turtle Beach. THERE WAS ABSOLUTELY NO PARKING there, which would be a bummer if you started cutting into your kayak rental time because you were searching for parking. Frustrated, I emailed to request a cancellation and a refund. I did get an email right back, but it was not until over a month of communication, that I FINALLY got the refund that was promised to me. I definitely suggest that you go to Adventure Kayak Outfitters instead. read more
