I don't normally comment on this stuff, but this seems crazy. Girls are spotted in a gym for their safety, and many girls have accomplished independent new skills at UPG since it opened. Also, I am one of the team coaches at UPG, and I really wish you were more careful about judgeing me without knowing me. I am sorry you felt like I was screaming at my girls, which seems severely dramatic, but you are welcome to come in any day and ask any one of my girls if they know how much they are loved by their coach. I am fully invested in these kiddos, not just in what they accomplish in the gym, but in their hearts. You are welcome to ask any of their parents the same question. I have no doubt they know how much I care about their girls. We do have to correct them, we are coaches, that is our job, and I have to talk louder than I had to in my classroom as a teacher because it is a full gym not a classroom. I am sorry you did not feel good about your experience at UPG, and personally I wish you had talked to someone verses needing to make a public declaration of your anger. But more importantly, please do not judge what I do without really knowing the people and their hearts that you are slandering. read more

We did our research before joining, attended a trial class and talked to other gym members. Since then, I have watched many classes and the coaching is excellent, the groups are small and everyone is shown the proper amount of attention. This gym adds a kind of personal style I have not felt elsewhere. When I met the owner, she asked us to sit down with our children and talk about the sport of gymnastics and write down some goals. It was helpful to do that. Two months have passed since we joined and my girls say they feel challenged, but not overwhelmed. I feel they are growing as gymnasts and learning discipline. WHAT I LIKE MOST: They understand that all kids are different and YOU have to adjust to the child, not the other way around. They are also not pushy about joining team. I am not sure who the Sarah Johnson is from below since I am not only the mother of two gymnasts at Ultimate Performance but also an employee and have never seen another Sarah Johnson. I can say though that her comments are very inaccurate, since I do work there and have children enrolled I get to see every aspect of the gym and I have to say all the coaches and staff are always very professional and take time to help every student with a positive and kind attitude. As far as the comment about the owner, that is just plain ridiculous. Lynn would never ever make comments like that, she is fantastic and proud of all of the children at UPG. I researched a lot of what Eau Claire had to offer for gymnastics. After touring each one we picked UPG based off of their prices, experienced coaching staff, and the overall feeling of family we felt from the first day. My daughter has only been in gymnastics for a year now and is currently holding the AAU WI State Champion 1st Place AA title for her age and level. I absolutely without any doubt do not believe she would have come so far in such a short period of time if it had not been for Lynn and her staff pushing her to succeed. The outstanding job they do at this gym just proves to us that we have made the correct choice and I highly recommend UPG to anyone looking to get their children active! read more

I was hesitant to try this gymnastics center for my daughter as it was brand new and I was not familiar with it. We visited and really liked what we saw so we gave it a try. So much equipment and the coaching has proven to be what we were looking for in a gym. Safety is a priority as it should be in this sport and the coaching staff seems to be well-trained. My daughter has fun and is learning so much. I would recommend giving this gym a shot if you are looking for good instruction with a lot of potential and motivated coaches. The parking lot while adequate, could be better during winter and snow banks should be removed to prevent parking congestion near the entrance. read more

This gym is located near the airport in the north part of Eau Claire. It's a converted warehouse in an industrial park that the owners have equipped with everything imaginable for gymnastics, all brand new. They have a convenient observation area with windows and a closed-circuit camera system that parents can point and zoom. The instructors are VERY knowledgeable. It reminds me of a gym in the cities from a few years back, and NOT something I expected to find in Eau Claire. This is the area's best for gymnastics, plus they have family discounts. They offer trial classes and free evaluations for kids who have past gymnastics experience. read more

My daughter attends this gym and we LOVE it! Where can I start? We came from another gym that didn't even compare, not in the teachers or in the equipment. At UPG it is a WORLD of difference! Although I had to wait to get into a class because so many people go there, the classes themselves are small because they cap the size for preschool. As for the equipment, it is brand new and made for preschoolers. They have a rock climbing wall, monkey bars, slide, rings, parallel bars and SO MUCH MORE than anyone else! You will not find anything like it anywhere else, it ROCKS! read more
