The 'open gym' on Friday nights is an absolute madhouse that brings out the worst kids/teens the area has to offer. There is zero security or supervision, the pre teens are foul mouthed and rude, and no-one does anything about unruly guests (drunk (drugged?) guy in the lobby for 2 hours swearing, harassing people, talking REALLY inappropriately to kids around him) and was only asked to leave right before close. If you bring your kids to open gym, I would stay with them, but fully expect they're going to bring home a few choice phrases like mine did. Thanks drunk guy. I imagine the bulk of the attention they give anyone here are the girls/parents that pay for gymnastics classes, which makes sense, and that the other 'activities' they offer are simply money grabs.

Just take a factory building and fill it with equipment and other stuff. And you know, it works! Kids have fun at BDay parties jumping into a foam pit, and more. Also kids get the chance to use the Olympic stuff too- uneven bars, beam, vault, and of course, the spring mat! My daughter loves it here for the bday parties because she says "You can do whatever you want. Like jumping on the trampoline, doing flips on the uneven bars, Back bends on the on the floor, and running and twisting on the vault. You name it, you can do it as long as it's safe!" I've also noticed men's Olympic stuff towards the back. My daughter said the men's stuff is fun and cool, but she prefers the woman's more, as what I know of. There's also a swinging rope. All the kids wait in a line to swing back and forth of a rope attached to the ceiling. It's safe, because it's attached to a ton of stuff to hold it. I even tried it! It was pretty fun!! On the spring mat, it's a different story! A TON of stuff to do! Of course, you can just do the basic gymnastic stuff. But there is also stuff you can sit in and be rolled around in! The bars are really fun! I enjoyed Firehouse and will continue to come for years!

I asked to drop for the following month, and meaning to respond to her staff, she responded to me I was a flipperty gibbet. We have attended Badger and enjoyed and will go back there for kind polite staff and a cleaner gym.

Once a girl is "in" they will never move them, but try and make a team and good luck....evals are a joke and they already know what they are doing. A bunch of girls came in this year from other gyms, but they kept them on all the same teams. I was looking for a gym to help my daughter and a couple of friends with their acro skills for…read moredance. We got connected with Logan who I texted and confirmed days/times with. On the agreed upon date she did not show. We had the front desk person give her a call and she admitted that she forgot. When she finally came in, she really wasn't of any help to the girls. She did not advise them on how to perform skills. She just sat and watched and would tell them whether their tricks looked good or bad, but did not offer any helpful corrections. The owner Bill was watching and berating the girls on why they were there and why they weren't signed up for their Monday night acro dance class, which is exclusive to a local studio. They girls felt extremely uncomfortable so we chose to end our private lesson early and left. I called to get some clarity on why we were treated like we weren't welcome. I spoke with Audrey and she was very apologetic and wanted to make things right, which I really appreciated. Bill called me two days later and I was explaining how the girls were made to feel and they didn't feel comfortable returning. Then he hung up on me. Lol! It's a shame because we are local and wanted to give business to this gym to support small businesses. We will now be traveling to Antioch to support the gym there.

The group meets a couple of times a week, ages vary from high school all the way up to people in the 70's. There are learn to row classes run throughout the summer for adults and juniors, for those who have rowed before there is coached morning practices.
