    Breakfast Burrito

Food and drinks were delicious, just what I needed to fuel up for a day of exploring Asheville! We got a bacon, egg and cheese bagel and a Breakfast burrito for Brunch and an iced vanilla latte and hot chai latte for drinks. They have outdoor and indoor seating, but the indoor seating is limited for how popular this place is. That being said, staff and patrons were all kind and friendly. We shared a table with some strangers and they were pleasant.

Ummmm this is the BEST bagel sandwich I've ever had in my life. And maybe my slight hangover made it taste even better but the flavors, the textures, the spice. Holy moly. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. There was a pretty long line when we got there but these guys move FAST. They know how to run a business. The coffee was super tasty and they had some good options, but those sandwiches are what they're reallyyyyy good at. The best breakfast hands down.

We turned our GPS towards Asheville arts district with coffee on our mind. We yelped this place and it did not disappoint. Two dirty chai lattes later and an energy ball and we are happy. Very delicious! Nice vibe. Indoor and outdoor seating.

One of our favorite coffee shops in Asheville proper. The grilled cheddar biscuits are still incredibly amazing. Small parking lot but also street parking as well not too far from business.

walked in to a clean and standard coffee shop, but what really stood out was the friendly customer service! I immediately felt welcome and the person at the register was more than happy to answer my questions. I had the lox bagel and a cappuccino -- both were excellent. My only critique is the bagel was on the chewier side without a crispy exterior, and there could have been a little bit more cream cheese, but overall the ingredients were high quality and the flavor was there! Would absolutely come back for a casual date or remote work day. Thanks, Ultra!

Service and ambiance was relatively speedy. I got a Taylor (sausage, egg, chipotle mayo and vegan cream cheese instead of cheddar on a GF bagel) and a GF/DF brookie. This was the first time I ever had a brookie, and it was delicious. A slight crunch on the top, but fudgy on the bottom. The bagel sandwich came out very warm and the flavors were all on point. Overall, the fact that "ultra" is in this place's name suits it perfectly.

While exploring the River and Arts district of Asheville, I definitely recommend making a stop at Ultra Coffeebar for a quick break and caffeination. The menu has the full line of caffeinated beverages that you can need. I decided to try the shakerato, adding the honey lavender syrup for the sweet floral touch, and it was the perfect after adding some milk. I love how there are some local goods and art available for sale inside the shop, as well that was easy to browse while waiting for my coffee. It is definitely the ULTRA coffee shop for the River Arts District!

Bagels were fire and staff was so kind. Good amount of seating. By far my favorite part was the board that changed messages that were specific to people in the restaurant. A sweet detail of customer relations that kept us laughing. Feels like a very communal Asheville spot. Also they have a parking lot which is a huge W haha. We'll be back the next time we're in town!

Cutest spot with some of the most fun workers. Live the location (minus the parking). Great assortment of pastries and delicious hearty breakfast Sammy's. Sweet little spot with some local art and jewelry for sale. Seating inside and out. Love the nitro coffee. Expensive but delicious. The lemon bar was surprisingly not sticky and rather fluffy but I loved it.

Great place for coffee and breakfast! The lox bagel and matcha latte I had really hit the spot. Baristas are friendly, and service was fast even on a Saturday morning!

UltraCofee is a great place to refuel while wandering around the River Arts District in Asheville. They've got lots for vegetarians and there are gluten-free options as well at this small, order-at-the-counter spot. I had the Fig and Brie and Ciabatto which was a great combination of flavors. It came with a bag of chips (no other options or choices for sides, at least none offered.) My wife was excited for a gluten-free bagel but they were out by the time we got there, so she ended up with the Ultraman salad wrap which she thought was good. Somehow we missed them calling our name while we were waiting in the eating area so our food sat there for a while before we realized it was taking a while and came looking for it. They have a vegan lunch menu with three options, a vegan breakfast menu with 5 options and plenty of choices if you also eat dairy. The food did the job for us during a short break between wandering in and out of the nearby art galleries...it's a local, not-so-crowded spot so felt comfortable enough, though we did feel a little rushed through the ordering process.

The space itself is incredibly cool, featuring exposed concrete, a massive back bar, a vintage print shop sign, and my personal favorite--a disco ball chandelier. Their espresso martini is probably the best I've ever had -- perfectly balanced, smooth, and dangerously easy to drink. Every bartender here is incredibly knowledgeable. They can make anything you ask for and then walk you through the history and origins of the cocktail like you're getting a mini masterclass with your drink. The bar itself is beautiful, with an impressive selection of spirits and a menu full of creative cocktails featuring ingredient combinations you'd never expect to work together -- but somehow they absolutely do. It's also one of the best places in the city to sit back and people-watch while enjoying a perfectly made drink. Do not skip The Times -- honestly, it's worth going out of your way to stop there.

We stopped here before visiting the Biltmore, and while parking was a bit of a challenge, it was absolutely worth it. One of the coolest parts was being able to watch the doughnuts being made right in front of us. There was a line when we arrived, and we waited about 15 minutes to order and another 10 minutes or so for our doughnuts. Even with the wait, I'd do it all over again. The doughnuts were incredibly fresh, warm, light, and fluffy. Every flavor we tried was delicious, but the vanilla glazed and the toasted almond sesame cinnamon were my favorite. Tucked away near the end of Broadway, Rowan possesses a warm and understated charm. The soft lighting and calm atmosphere create a cozy ambiance that exudes thoughtfully curated design, while the gentle hum of conversation and espresso machines add a touch of life to the space. It's the kind of coffee shop where rainy afternoons feel like a cinematic scene from your favorite film. Recently, I met a date here, as Rowan seemed like the perfect setting for such a memorable beginning. After we greeted one another with an intimate kiss just outside the doors of Rowan Coffee, I observed a Duchenne smile flash across her face before we embarked on what became an emotionally recursive, psychologically layered Asheville odyssey, as we explored Malaprop's Bookstore, the Grove Arcade, Wall Street, Pack Square Park, I.M. Pei's connection to structures outside both the Louvre and the Asheville Art Museum, French Broad Chocolate, Cúrate, and the South Slope. The coffee at Rowan is truly exceptional. Each cup is thoughtfully crafted, balanced, and served with care by passionate baristas. It can be rather challenging to find premium cold brew these days, but the cold brew on offer here is some of the best I've found in Asheville. Whether you're enjoying a cappuccino, catching up with a friend, or studying/working near the back, Rowan provides the perfect atmosphere for unwinding and savoring the moment. My date ordered a mocha that morning, and based on the enthusiasm with which it disappeared, I'd be remiss not to mention it. The mochas are so good here that girls do circle back. And if you don't, you're missing out. What truly sets Rowan apart is its comfort. It's an intimate space without being overcrowded; it's stylish without being pretentious. It encourages conversation, reflection, and even accidental three-hour stays.
