    Tiramisu, eclair with chocolate drizzle

You're lucky to come in without a line at the door, and we were lucky this night. They are open till late hours, perfect for an after dinner treat as you walk through the city. We ordered a cappuccino, eclair, and tiramisu slice. Each one was perfect. Service was greetful at the door. Very attentive and helpful. Nice seating, lounge style for a date night or day treat.

We came here for a sweet treat and coffee. They had a beautiful selection of homemade pastries. It was hard to choose. We had their 'Opera Torte' which was delicious! It was enough to share between two people. All their desserts are made in house. We both had cappuccinos. The cappuccino was good. The space was clean and had ample seating. The staff was friendly and welcoming. If we lived in the area, I'd come back here.

Great place to sit and people watch from the open window, Delicious pastries, coffee drinks, and cocktails. Try the strawberry lemonade iced matcha made with Perrier -- it's so refreshing.

It's been quite a few minutes since we have been to Old Europe Pastries. Their new space is stunning. We haven't been since they moved and the new place will blow your socks off. Staff so very sweet and helpful. They had a wall of team member's fur babies around a sign about an April 7th fundraiser for Asheville Humane Society. Pooped in for my daily matcha latte and decaf latte. Enjoyed the matcha. I prefer nothing but matcha and milk in mine. If you want any syrups put in you'll have to ask. Decaf latte texturally was great the bean flavor wasn't my vibe. On the day, we were leaving town we wanted to get a box of goodies for our sweet family members who had taken care of one of our pups so that we could get away for the weekend. The team was so marvelous in helping us put together this bountiful box of goodies. Which our family members immediately opened and enjoyed nibbles of all of the different flavors and items. We originally found them when one of our family members was having health challenges and could not have dairy or gluten. They have such a wonderfully inclusive assortment of treats for everyone in the family. Including vegan. Enjoyed people watching sitting on the patio and the dog scene is awesome. Really lovely chill atmosphere with delightful team. They do have restrooms for customers. You're able to tap and pay in addition to cash and traditional credit card purchase. Always a delight to visit.

A cozy spot with a long history in downtown Asheville. Coffee and cake, who can argue? Wasn't crowded on a recent Monday night but I take it weekends are tough. Cute tables and good lighting. Recommend: coconut cream cake.

Lots of desserts to choose from

We came on a Saturday afternoon and it was very crowded - we did manage to grab a table tho. The line moves at a consistent speed. The inside is cute but small, I appreciate the staff especially their coffee barista who was working NON-STOP. My cortado was satisfying. We also got the chai and maple latte and it was good. We got 3 different desserts but the only one I really liked was the fancy french - basically a huge cube of custard with a thin layer of flaky pastry. Delicious.

We were in Asheville for only 24 hours and craving something sweet after dinner. It was on the later side so our options were limited but Old Europe Pastries looked like a great option that was walking distance from where we had dinner so we decided to give it a try. All of the options looked great and I had a hard time narrowing down my options (did I want fruity or chocolately?) so I went with both--a lemon berry torte and the Black Diamond cake (chocolate sponge cake filled with a chocolate cream and dipped in chocolate) so I could have a few bites of each of my cravings and both were excellent and hit the spot! My husband also got a matcha and tiramisu. I didn't try the matcha but the tiramisu was excellent. Many of the creamier/cheese fillings were made with a sweet farmers-esque cheese which I loved. Growing up in a Polish household a lot of our desserts were based with a similar cheese so it felt very familiar and comforting. The space is cute as well. My only complaint was that at the end of the night the tables were a bit on the sticky side and staff was a bit on the aloof side, but otherwise it was a wonderful experience.

We will be back for dessert, open late!

Wow, it is now a comfy Cafe with banquettes and charm. Stars are still the pastry selections including vegan treats. Stop by, located next to the AC hotel!

Super happy to see that they had several gluten free and vegan dessert options! I ordered the seasonal tart and it was very good - not too sweet and full of fresh fruit. The workers were friendly and the inside of the shop was clean. This would've been a 5/5 but sadly the drinks were not good at all. I ordered a latte and found the coffee to be super bitter and unpleasant tasting. The chai latte my sister ordered was super watery and too spicy. Highly recommend coming here for the pastries, but get your drinks elsewhere.

Loved it! Great location and convenience, coupled with great coffee and pastries. I tried a warm blueberry muffin and a macaron. Both tasty! I also loved that they're open late (with a bar) for night caps as well. Although the place was full during my visit, the staff was friendly and quite attentive. Definitely worth the visit. Cheers!

lovely place for early morning breakfast . We wanted to try their pastries. Ordered Marzipan Square. You do get the flavor of Marzipan and chocolate . One thing for a small square cake it's a bit expensive!! Nevertheless We enjoyed the cake .

    Macarons.
    Rebecca F.

The pastries were primarily gluten free. If you're gluten free, this is the place for you!! I didnt ljke the pastries we got. We ordered a lemon cheesecake, chocolate mousse and macarons. My daughter seemed to love the macarons. The ambiance was nice. The service was friendly.. they did recommend ordering something that is on one tray not sharing with another dessert because those desserts were the ones that are typically ordered most. However, we all have different taste!

This might sound dramatic but, these are the best pastries I've ever had. As someone who is gluten free most places have very limited options but here, a majority of their offerings are gluten free and they are exquisite. The tiramisu is divine, the cheesecakes and brownies are heaven, it's all just wonderful. The service is always so friendly and welcoming and they also make great hot chocolate. We come here multiple times every Asheville visit.

She said it was the best shaved ice she's ever had and way better than any she even had in Hawaii. I was intrigued and suggested to my husband we stop by after dinner one night. This cafe is soooo cute. I'm here on vacation and trying not to work, but if i needed to work for a few hours I would definitely go here. I'd work and eat one dessert after another. The mango shaved ice was even better than expected. It was ginormous and I was full from dinner, but did a pretty good job eating most of it because it was too delicious to stop. My husband got a piece of blueberry cheesecake and i couldn't help, but have a few bites of that as well. I was hoping to make it back a second (or third) time, but sadly don't think we are going to have time. Another reason to come back to Asheville and it may just be my first stop!

Loved their menu as well. Although their mini cakes and other treats appealed to me as well, I opted to try their Taro Shaved Ice (they had 2 other flavors as well...think Mango and Mocha?). Well, their Taro Shaved Ice was PERFECT!!! The shaved ice was nice and dry, and the toppings (Boba, Lychee jelly, and Strawberries...even whipped cream on top) were generous and delicious! LOVED the place...and I can't wait to return! My husband will absolutely loved their version of Shaved Ice...What a treat to come!
