If you own a business, do yourself a favor and put your money in a tin can and hide it instead of banking here. Absolutely the worst bank to deal with. Managment is nosey when you take out cash. They act like you're a criminal getting ready to do a crime. Tellers were friendly but managers are rude, nosey as stated and overall stupid. Save yourself the aggravation and go someplace better. My discontent is primarily surrounded by the person in charge of the compliance department not wanting to take the time to learn our business. We have a 100% Legal CBD Oil business that is recognized on the State and Federal level. We are fully transparent as I told them in the office and I also explained that we can provide Certifications of Registration from our Manufacturer as well as the Department of Agriculture of Colorado where our product is made. They denied opening a business account for us and it is sad that they will deny a business that is doing absolutely nothing wrong in the eyes of the law. Denying our business is like denying a business that sells Coconut Oil or Olive Oil. Just like those products we have zero THC in our Oil. My advice is take the time to learn your potential customers business (which if they did then they would not be so narrow minded which leads to ignorance towards this industry) and second, truly check and see if anything the business is doing is considered illegal in the eyes of the Federal Government or on a State level. My guess is your legal team has no clue about this industry. Thats ok because most lawyers don't. Maybe hire a legal team that is going to read the laws about the businesses that want to open up business accounts so they can earn their over priced rate. read more

This is the Worst run bank ever seen. I run a lot of funds threw this bank for several business over the last 8 years and will pull everything from them very soon. Every business owner I know who uses this bank has been saying the same thing. THEY DO NOT CARE ANYMORE. It started as a great place but the last 3 years they are very hard to get answers from and only tell you what you want to hear. So I went in to Arizona bank and trust because I heard that they were pretty relaxed on their guidelines for small business loans. I go in to the branch and I ask for small business and they were nice and I guy named Earl came up and asked me how we can help me. I went and discussed when I needed with my business loan. I put an application but the reason that I'm leaving a review and why it's important is to note that the customer service that I got from this particular banker was better than any other bank that I had been to and I think that it's worth mentioning. I'm not sure whether I'll get the loan or not but that will be revealed in stories to come. read more

Having spent several years working in mid-sized banks early in my working career I was very hopeful when I left one of the "big" banks and moved my personal bank account to AB&T. Today, I've really had it with them and can't wait to bail out for greener pastures. Took my stimulus check in for a small amount to deposit ($400) and the balance in cash to me. I don't carry high balances in an account for household needs with no "earnings" any longer but was literally stunned when the teller told me I couldn't have the $2000 in cash back due to the low balance I carry in my account. What?? A check drawn on the US Treasurer has to be put on hold? No one does things like that.....especially a small to midsize retail banking operation. The signs of such a nickel / dime operation had become noticeable to me earlier but I ignored till today. I never could understand why there was never anyone in the branch beside 1 teller, no customers waiting to see or talk with a loan officer, etc. etc. The small front staff were friendly but---- I should have listened to my experiences and background in the industry but noooo, too much trouble moving on. You draw your own conclusions but if you're looking to open any accounts just be prepared for smiles and warmth but following policies designed in 1910. As for me....hasta la vista baby read more

So hard to get anything done at this bank I have asked at 2 different branches, 3 times to have my savings account viewable in online banking. Was told a couple weeks ago they were making it urgent so it gets done right away its been 2 weeks still not done. I am on hold at this time for online banking to request it again. I have been on hold for 9 minutes. ABT has also dinged my credit for a payment that was not late by their own admission . Then tried to fix it and dinged my credit 2 more times. I give up on having them fix it every time they are making it worse. Nice people but not a consumer friendly bank and can screw up your credit when you have never made a late payment. read more

A very close friend of mine banks at ABT-Arizona Bank and Trust. He recently had an accident and his car was totaled. He doesn't make a lot of money and so after renting a car for over 2 weeks so he could keep working he secured pre-loan approval at ABT, found a car he could afford, communicated the vehicle info to the bank and set an appt at the Camelback branch having the vehicle owner meet us there to complete the transaction. Because of a misunderstanding with the bank regarding the allowable miles on a used vehicle we hit a brick wall at the bank when we learned that the loan had fallen out of underwriting because of the mileage. We were in a real pickle. The rental costs were piling up, we had the vehicle owner and his wife at the bank with the car and a signed & notarized title and we didn't have a completed loan. UGH! We spoke with personal banker Brent who explained there was nothing he could do but understanding our situation he was willing to escalate to the bank branch manager Earl. Earl was equally understanding and apologetic but explained his hands were also tied. Nevertheless seeing the tough place we were in Earl escalated to bank officer Ken who went way out of his way by personally calling the loan underwriters and was able to get the loan approved and funded, AMAZING! We had to come back the next day to sign docs since it was too late to get it done that day. We are EXTREMELY satisfied and would HIGHLY recommend bringing your banking business to good old fashioned customer focused Arizona Bank and Trust!!! Great small bank. They know you by name and are responsive. I've had a relationship with them for a couple years now for my small business. Paul from the Mesa branch bends over backwards for you. The only reason not 5 stars is that they failed to remove a lien timely after I paid off a loan. However, when i did advise them of the issue, they took care of it immediately. read more
