I don't normally take the time to write bad reviews, I just make the choice to take my business elsewhere. This is an exception. This situation has caused irreparable damage to my trust in medical settings. As a professional, I have never experienced nor witnessed anything like this. Note: The front desk clerks and all the medical staff are all excellent - not one complaint. On Mon., Sept. 22, 2025, while sitting connected and receiving an iron infusion, I was confronted by Dr. Francisco Antonio Castillos III about a recent online bad review related to their office dog that he assumed I wrote. I've attached a picture of the review he shoved in my face as he glared at me with disgust and repeatedly accused me of writing. There was one other patient sitting in the last chair of the row who saw and heard it all. It's important to note that I prefer not to engage with dogs. I received several iron infusions at this practice within the past few years and the office dog roamed around freely then too. The nurses have always done a great job making sure I was comfortable. When I returned for treatment most recently, it happened to coincide with when this bad review he accused me of writing was left. According to the review, this other patient has both a phobia and an allergy to dogs. During the confrontation, I pointed out that I don't have an allergy to dogs but he insisted I was the one who wrote the review. The most important point in all of this is that, I did not write the review and even after saying that I would have no problem admitting it if I had written the review, he was fixated that I did. At first, he claimed it was attached to my first and last name somewhere online but later described it as an "online review." Based on how he approached me, I felt unsafe and helpless. I couldn't just get up and leave. After going back and forth, I told him to show me where my name was attached to the review, and he told me I could speak with his practice manager. Once my infusion was complete, the nurse was bandaging my arm, and he came over with an unauthentic, apologetic tone. After he initially confronted me, I decided to start recording our interactions because I knew I wanted to consult an attorney to explore legal action against him. His change in tone may have come from his practice manager telling him he was wrong or maybe he realized on his own that he was wrong. Either way, the damage had already been done and there would be no way to reconcile. He walked me down to a conference room where I would meet with his practice manager, laid down the paper that included the review on the conference table, and walked out. I took a pic and video of the paper. Once the practice manager came in, I recorded our full conversation as well. My attorney informed me that there's no legal recourse for this specific situation, but I can file a complaint with the medical board which will be done as soon as the public is warned through these online reviews. The public deserves warning of any doctor that would hostilely confront and falsely accuse a patient in front of another patient of writing a bad review about their practice. Because of this situation, I would personally never accept nor allow anyone I know to receive treatment or medical advice from Dr. Francisco Antonio Castillos III. Now, THIS review is attached to my name and THIS review has been written by the patient who you confronted and falsely accused today, Monday, September 22, 2025 between 8am-9am ET of previously writing a bad review. The review you "accused" me of writing and hostilely confronted me about has now resulted in a medical board complaint with video/audio to accompany it and multiple negative online reviews, everywhere I can find to review you. I went to another Hematologist and they told me that I should not have received any of these infusions. My immune systems has been damaged and I have a high chance of getting anything that is out their. Not only that but I had two severe reactions to rituximab and another drug that was not supposed to be given to older patients. Apparently the continues change of staff and poor treatment of staff has created and very unhealthy situation. I do not recommend this facility for care. If you have a child experiencing appendicitis like symptoms, take them to the pediatric ER. My son was having pain in his right side and we went to AFC Urgent Care. We waited for 30 minutes and were seen by someone at AFC Urgent Care, not sure if she was a Dr or PA or nurse - she asked about symptoms. She barely pushed on his right side no gloves and announced that they were unable to go further as they didn't have a CT machine and she was required to refer us to the ER. After waiting at the ER for 4 hours, he had a CT scan and were referred to the pediatric ER. The bills of all these visits are piling up. I called AFC with this suggestion: Anyone at AFC could have explained at reception that they could not diagnose ANY appendicitis like symptoms and we could have saved $100 on our copay. They said a medical professional has to do that - so wanted everyone else to be aware of this highway robbery.

They also let an IV drip out of the bag or my arm into my lap to the point it was soaking wet and I was shivering. I passed out multiple times and they left me for HOURS. After going home and getting a second opinion from WakeMed, I had to go into surgery THAT NIGHT. I honestly should've sued for negligence. I will be reporting this .
