After I had checked out I realized I was overcharged a little and figured I could do get a refund since it was no big deal and I had just walked out. As I explained to him the situation the cashier responded sarcastically and was visibly upset that he had to do a refund. I was more than happy to spend the money when I first walked out, but now I really don't feel the same.

All three had a huge selection of comic books, both new and old. Comics really aren't my thing, I like the collectibles that go with them and this place is surrounded with them. Vintage toys that I've never seen before to the more current Funko Pops. They have it all. Very cool place, talked to the owner and got excellent customer service. Really nice guy. While nothing really screamed take me home with you today, I'll for sure be back.

Cheating out on keeping the back issues in clean and identical/uniform looking display sometimes hinders me from even digging. Flipping through a store that clearly replaces every bag and board in the back issue section makes you feel like you're digging through one gigantic comic book collectors collection. It's satisfying. Real Pokémon fans usually don't mind if the factory seal is cut when buying product because the cards and packs inside are still untouched, and it helps keep product in the hands of actual collectors and players instead of resellers clearing shelves. If you do want fully sealed product, they still offer it at current market price, which is a fair balance for everyone. I was their first participant and Ms. Nikki made me feel so welcomed. I love how the bookshelves are arranged with the new books in front and as you walk through the building they're sectioned off with various fiction, sci-fi, nonfiction, children's, religion, and suspense books. Plus they have a sign that tells you the prices for used hardback and paperback books. The new books are pricier but I know they're worth it at least for me. This was a real treat to check out.

Like many of the modern comic book stores, Bedrock City Comic want to make everyone who walks through their door as welcoming as possible. They have specific sections for kids and shelves that's just local Houstonian artists created works or books for new comers to start from. This store is definitely well organized and there's plenty of things to browse for. Sometimes there will be special artists event such as Gene Luen Yang stopping by for a meet and greet and signing. They certainly stock up as much of the creator's works as possible for people to buy and get it signed the same evening. This store also have a good selection for the hardcore collectors when it comes to buying Golden Age comics, statues, and special limited edition collectibles that you don't really need it but you want it just because. When I am around on this side of the town, I will always try to make time and stop by here just to take a look, who knows what I will find that trip.

I had questions about some of the characters and wanted to make sure I was picking out the characters that are my friend's favorites. Without their help, I may have picked the wrong ones! There was a wide selection of items from stationary, to kpop merch, to bright trinkets. For such a small space, I spent quite a long time carefully inspecting each shelf. I ended up picking out about 6 items in various colors and was happy with the value for the gifts I chose. Each item I chose, I had not seen before so I felt like it was an exclusive experience and my friends loved all their gifts! I'm so happy with my haul and definitely recommend stopping in.
