I do grab a seat and people watch since there is usually is a space at the bar that opens up and the chairs are surprisingly comfortable. The crowd does change a bit as the night wears on. People will introduce themselves, chat a little bit, and move upstairs or back to their group. Sometimes they are drunk. Sometimes they are getting there. Overall they are super nice and remind me of a mixture of the old BW3 college and working crowd and Robby's college crowd from decades ago. When it's time to go the bartenders are politely insistent. Occasionally I have been told to make sure my buddy, a complete stranger at the beginning of the night, is not driving. It is easy to meet a 'friend you never knew' here but Huntington is a small town and usually you have a friend or relative or teacher in common. Huntington is like that and I love that St Marks has stayed largely the same and remained in business.
