Syriana is so clean, organized , and well thought out when it comes to the range and selection of products they have available. The brand of Syrian bread that they carry is so good and made without all of the preservatives that other SoCal Arabic bread is now made with. The canned goods are all decent brands and not past their "best by" dates like you'll find at some other markets. They truly care about the freshness of their products and obviously spend a lot of time arranging the displays and keeping the market so clean and organized. It's always a pleasure shopping there. Violet behind the counter is so kind and happy to answer questions or make suggestions. She also always has Syrian and Lebanese music playing at the perfect volume to set the mood without disturbing your shopping. I always have a great experience shopping at Syriana and I usually leave surprised and happy at how affordable everything is. If I lived closer, I'd probably be there every other day to pick up fresh bread and veggies, and probably a few pieces of Baklava. Plenty of parking but it is on dirt and there is a short walk. Not too bad even with my arthritic knees. I came here to find some heirloom carrots since I like them in the bean soup I am making. There is plenty of seasonal produce available. It is autumn so there are assorted persimmons and apples just in time for the holidays. I found the heirloom carrots at the very last produce stand at the market. The carrots still had the tops on them so those will be for the wild rabbits that come at night to my house. I bought a dozen tamales from the Tamale Guy. There were so many choices including vegetarian and dessert ones. I bought two each of the chicken, beef, pork, beef and olive, pineapple and raisin, and sweet corn to try. So delicious so this may be a go-to for tamales. The chicken one was especially tasty! I will try more of the vegetarian varieties next time. I was feeling a little thirsty so I bought a peach oolong tea from the Tea Life vendor. It came with basil seeds, rainbow jelly, and a slice of fresh peach. So refreshing and not too sweet. On my way out, I purchased three loaves of bread from the Old Town Bakery Company stand. It was so hard to choose since there were so many varieties! I selected the Squaw Bread, the Jalapeño Cheese, and the Sourdough Whole Wheat. The Squaw Bread is excellent, one of the best I have tasted! This farmers market is definitely worth checking out. There are other vendors selling items other than produce so there is plenty to see and find.

First time here... upon entry, the atmosphere of the depot is different compared to other food marts. This one is unique indeed... I think it is the colors of the merchandise that creates a different feel. Anyway, I walked around just to see what they sell. Well, they have draft beer + lots of other beers (there is a beer cave???) and a good variety of snacks and stuff. I wanted to buy something because I was in here for a while. I was looking for Jarritos which is a Mexican soda. Funny, I asked the staff and they weren't familiar with it, but two customers answered my question instead LOL. Anyway, they don't carry Jarritos. I ended up getting a can of Arizona black & white iced tea. First time trying it... it was okay. Not too sweet, but not bland either. As for the scratchers, I had won $18 + 3 tickets. The nice gentleman behind the counter said I can get the whole sha'bang in cash $21... I took the cash... I scratched enough already LOL. Should I have future scratchers to redeem or need to get new scratchers or lotto tickets, I will return here for sure. Thank you!

It's a gas station meets liquor store type vibes and the service is mid I guess cause you don't really need much help unless you're looking for something specific. I love how much random (but amazing) stuff they have. Fruit-shaped ice creams? Yup. Buldak noodles? Yup. That super tasty Taro juice? Yup. It's like a mini treasure hunt every time I go in. One of my favorite things though is their cocktail bags. I absolutely love that they offer those -- it makes my life so much easier. And they even give you premade cup of ice with your purchase, which just feels like they really thought it through. Pro tip: only use half of each bottle of whatever is in the bag because it can definitely make two cocktails.
