She didn't want me to complain so I supplemented her fish with a part of mine. Ambiance wasn't much to talk about either with staff shouting in the background and seemed to be kidding around. The first table we sat down to hadn't been cleaned, even though there was only another couple there when we arrived, and so we moved to another. Service was okay, although again we had no utensils when the food arrived and girl had to go back and get them. Minor inconvenience. Its a great "takaway" (fast food) spot, the window is one where you order at a counter outside, but you can take it inside the bar to sit down and eat. We went inside and stumbled on a bingo night! The locals were so friendly and invited us to play so we did and had a blast! The food was good, and it was here that we discovered Ireland's traditional condiment.... brown sauce... it is like a bbq sauce mixed with vinegar.. we fell in love with it and have been using it in every single restaurant we go to here in Ireland!! The other hidden surprise here was live music! We were expecting traditional Irish music but ironically the one man band playing a keyboard and singing his heart out sang some old school billy joel songs I happen to love from my childhood.
