I arrived to the Rathdrum Train Station and unfortunately all the taxi company's were tied up working a wedding In the area. I called the Meetings Bed&Breakfast to see if they could organize a cab for me. About ten minutes later a car pulls up. To my surprise and amazement it was the owner of the Meetings Bed&Breakfast Derek. He helped me with my bags and drove me to his establishment. Upon arriving he helped me again with my bags and showed me to my room. Derek also showed me around his establishment. I was made feel very Welcome! I ended up having a few pints at the Meetings Pub. Derek and his Family all run the B&B, The pub and store on the premises. They are all True Professionals and very cool in my book. They take so much pride in their business and genuinely care about their guests. My room was so modern, very clean. My room had a great flat screen TV. You have a great selection of TV Channels due to it being hooked up to a satellite dish. My bed was so comfortable also. The next morning I had breakfast! There seemed to be a huge disparity between the professionalism seen in the restaurant area - waiters neatly dressed and food received exemplary - and the bar - not all waiters wearing a uniform and poor service. The stew was of a heavier consistency, and in general, I thought that the whole thing was too salty. The stew of beef and root vegetables was on top of a bed of mashed potatoes. I tried to even out the saltiness of the stew with the mashed potatoes, but in the end, I drank 3 glasses of water to compensate. The service wasn't the best unfortunately. I had to go up to the bar to ask for refills of my water.
