I reached out to Harvest CPA for assistance with my new business and spoke with Nick a few times…read more I have no idea what I don't know and they were extremely helpful. I thought I needed bookkeeping services so I signed up for that. Unfortunately what I actually need is more of a tax service and they do offer tax services to their book keeping customers. However as a new business it was not in our budget to have them do the book keeping year round and taxes. I really wish we could afford it because they are so friendly and extremely informative. After learning what I needed wasn't what I thought I needed, I asked him to send me a bill for his time since I won't be using them for book keeping but he was so helpful. Then he said that it wasn't necessary. I really do hope they start offering more tax services so I can use them in the future.

Prior to closing my business less than a month ago, Harvest CPA was hired to reconcile books, file…read morereemployment taxes, file sales and use taxes and file yearly income taxes. Being the type of business we were, we had some challenges to overcome with our books. Caleb was very engaged in the beginning but that definitely changed. Caleb was supposed to have filed an extension on our business tax return, he admitted to the mistake and refused to fix it. Instead he filed an extension on our personal tax return without consulting my husband and I first. When asked how I was to remedy his negligence, he explained that he "doesn't give out free advice." His mistake and here we are. I never asked him to do anything for free and nor would I have expected it. I asked how to remedy his own negligence so I could do it myself. Rewind several months ago and he had his staff prematurely file our business sales and use taxes incorrectly. I had to pay a tax attorney to correct his mistake. Caleb seems like a straight forward CPA, but he's way out of his depth. He doesn't take the time to understand the books and how a business operates nor does he take the time to ask important questions. Lesson learned. Do your research and ask the right questions before hiring a CPA.

I'm a high net worth individual in charge of an estate/trust with inherited retirement accounts as…read morewell as inherited properties I plan to put in a LLC to rent out for cash flow as a small business entrepreneur. Their website claimed to help with everything I needed help with so I filled out the "free consultation," in hopes of getting a CPA to help me plan for my increasingly complex tax situation. I received the email that I would first need to send in or drop off a current tax return and investment statements. Simple enough I thought until I showed up at the office with the requested documents on March 7th in the afternoon. The unprofessional service I received was just hurtful. The woman in the office who I believe to be Krista Lynn told me without looking at the documents and without knowing my situation told me "We're not a good fit for you." I've been around for a long time when someone says that to you even though you fit the requirements for service but they still turn you away it's usually for one discriminating reason. I hate to think that in 2025 people are still racially motivated to do and say hurtful things or stand in the way of a person's attempt for success but I know all to well what this feels like and there is no mistaking it. She didn't even attempt to give me a legitimate reason why she denied me a free consultation. She did however try to tell me that their services for clients range from $300 to $3000 a month stereotyping me as a black person that couldn't afford it hoping the big numbers would scare me off. She also tried to move the goal post going from just needing a tax return and investment statements to now needing the trust documents as well as the deeds to the properties. Which aren't difficult to get but she didn't meantion that until that moment and it just felt like more excuses to deny me service and get me to leave. The worst part is having to explain what just happened and why to my son who was with me to witness this disgraceful event. So yes one star for discrimination wish I could give less. It took me a few days to respond to this situation as I figure out what steps to take next and I hesitated to post this at all but it must be known. All it takes for evil to succeed is for good people to do nothing.

(After I relocated from Gainesville I retained their services and boy am I ever glad I did.) They take online security seriously, too, which has never been more important. I hear folks don't like tax time. Then I can only assume you have the wrong accountant because Marc and his team make it a breeze!
