For 10 years, I have never received a phone call from my agent, especially when while going through my divorce, there was a misunderstanding between my estranged wife and I about who was paying the bill. Our insurance was cancelled and absolutely no phone call from the agent warning us, we found out on our own, and fortunately it was not due to needing to file a claim. Today, I received the first communication from the agent's office and it was a recording to wish us a safe and happy Labor day. Problem is, I changed insurers over 6 months ago. I called her office, to get my name removed from the list. When they answered the phone, I asked how they said the normal greeting of this is x. I said hello and asked them how they were doing, and they replied "Good" that was it. I then thanked them for the automated call, but explained that I was no longer a customer, and would like my name removed from their list. She asked my name, verified and said she would do it, then click, no good-bye, nothing. This agent gives the appearance that she is in it for the most money she can make with the lowest amount of customer service as possible. Allstate was good to me, and I cannot complain about the company, but if I were to go back to Allstate I will make sure that I find a different agent.
