    Tacoma skyline in the making.

Loved every single bout of it! My boyfriend and I went during COVID, small class very spacious. It was both our first time doing any thing like I t and felt like Picasso after! Might have been the liquid courage lol. Great teacher

This place is great! Both studios are so welcoming when you enter. You are immediately welcomed and helped to find a seat. You are provided with everything, apron, canvas, paint pallet, brushes, stencils of needed, and halfway through you get wine! The instructors (I've learned from them all!) are patient, kind, funny, and want you to go home with a piece you love. And they help everyone, and I learned that with patience, almost anything can be fixed. There are SO many options to paint. From fan favorites like Supernatural, Harry Potter, Jack & Sally, too beautiful mountains and landscapes, they have it all. I'm a repeat customer and plan to remain that way! You want to paint? You want to take your sweetheart out? Uncorked Canvas is where to go.

My friends and I have gone here a few times for paint night. Since Covid we have been wanting to do another one. I ordered three kits from their website and the next day I got an email saying everything was ready for pickup. Everything we needed was included. No easels but they demonstrated the painting laying flat so that wasn't a problem. We actually super loved this format, we were able to pause when we needed to, get more drinks and snacks, take breaks.... it took us about three hours start to finish, but that worked for our time frame. It was really fun, I hope they keep this new way of doing these for us ladies who like to take a little while longer.

This place offers a sip and paint event. I recently purchased tickets to one of their events. The event was canceled due to lack of ticket sales. I asked for my refund as there policy doesn't state clearly about event more about items purchased. I was emailed a copy of the terms and conditions which are not on their site. I understand due to covid these are ruff times, but to offer an event and cancel without refund is unacceptable. I am on a fixed income my mother was in town, I have no interest in a reschedule but I'm out of $80

Not at all my most favorite experience. Hardly any instruction, we were given one 4oz glass of wine after 30 minutes into the event, and we were given a stencil for drawing the face. For $40 it seemed a bit steep of a price, given the canvas are under $10 from an art supply store and the glass of wine was pitiful. You cannot purchase additional beverages here, like buying your own wine after the free one. Others said other paint and sip event places offer more instruction/guidance and more wine. One of the customers at my event had an emergency (fainted or epileptic seizure?) and paramedics arrived, and the entire feel of the room seemed heavy. Someone had asked if we could have another glass of wine or a heavier than 4oz pour, and we were told it was against the law based on their business license. The event felt rushed, as the instruction was thrown off due to the emergency, and then I felt like I wanted to leave ASAP as the energy vibe was not relaxing of an experience. Her music selection was "Dawson's Creek" on Pandora playlist, and while the instructor was bragging about her fun memories of the music, I wanted to put in my headphones and listen to another selection of music (I didn't do that, but wanted desperately to as the music was gross in my opinion). The instructor told us to get photos when we weren't even finished, which felt super rushed and uncomfortable. I wouldn't do this again here. I might try another location instead. For $40 this was a pretty awful experience in my humble opinion. I would've paid $15 and felt okay with my take-home piece, but my "experience" was pretty gross overall.

I hosted my friends bridal shower here and had a great experience. Denee helped answer my many questions via email and over the phone. Her response time was very fast and she met all of my needs. All of the girls had a blast and Mae (the instructor) was so fun and interactive.

    My masterpiece.

Not an artist? No worries. Never picked up a paintbrush before? Not a problem at Uncorked! The guided instruction is well-paced and the instructors are good-humored and accommodating. Last night, I joined a dozen other women for a painting party to honor our mutual friend on her 40th birthday. We had the place to ourselves and were allowed to bring in food and wine, which you know we did (it does wonders for creativity and discovering that hidden talent). Kaitlyn was our guide and just as cute as can be. She helped turn a room full of amateurs into budding Monets with our colorful nature paintings. Date nights encouraged.

For the first time in my failed art career I actually painted something cool!! Thanks to the talented and PATIENT staff at UC - that appear to be impervious to frustration. And abject lack of talent. A wonderful time!!

Tacoma studio. Private paint party. Danessa was very communicative & accommodating during the booking. She was also our instructor/bartender. She was very easy to follow not to mention a blast to mingle with! We loved her! Our group left having a great time & experience. Super cute space & good parking for downtown Tacoma. Highly recommend, 10/10, 5 stars, etc...

Only attempt two objects if you are experienced. I ran over time. Still had a great time and feel great about my first painting.

It was Sunday morning when I received a call that the reservation I made almost two months ago for a date night with my wife was canceled due to circumstances out of my control. With a babysitter already reserved and a disappointed wife I turned to the interweb for help. Searched "things to do in Seattle" first. Nothing on a Sunday night appealed to us. Then I search Bellevue, Olympia and finally a last ditch effort Tacoma. Up popped uncorked canvas, no pun intended. To my surprise they had something going on that night. I called and someone actually answered the phone. Then she informed me the art class was full. I told her my sob story and she said she would talk to the instructor and see if she could fit us in. 20 minutes later she called back and said come on down. At this point I have to point out that I am color blind. Not completely, I can see most colors I just have a hard time telling shades of colors. So when I sat down I got a little nervous. Now I want to be honest I enjoyed the experience but to be completely upfront there were too many student for the 2 teachers. But that was my fault for butting into a full class. There was no running water so it was hard to dump and refill your rinse water for the brushes. I felt rushed, again my fault because I picked a harder picture than most of the class. And they only gave us one glass of wine, which I found hard I enjoy because I was always behind. At the end they let us stay late and smiled the entire time. My painting came out much better than I expected. So will I go back and do I recommend you go.... Yes and yes. Just be realistic on what you plan on accomplishing and bring someone who is good with colors. My wife saved me. Thanks uncorked canvas for a fun night and amazing customer service.

Arrived with anxiety that was immediately dispelled! The roo was large and inviting, workstations set up with everything you need and a pleasant staff ready for our group! Once under way our teacher Rebecca lead us step by step through the painting! Halfway through we had a break...chips and chocolate if you wanted. Wine and beer served during the class. The end result?? My very own masterpiece!

    Such a fun time!

This place is amazing. While they were overbooked for the day my friends registered for, they were able to let me register on short notice! It was a little intimidating attempting to paint, but the entire staff made everyone feel so comfortable. They started with us stenciling one of the focal points of the piece and from there, they guided us while letting our creativity take the lead. Also, aside from wine, they offered other beverages and snacks. My friends and I cannot wait until our next paint and wine night!

I went here for a friend's birthday. I really enjoyed the class, but I agree with most people on here that the one small drink of wine was barely worth the trouble. It was still a fun night and we got a couple of cool paintings out of it.

Just a few shots of my "beautiful" art work and the studio!

The smallest signs that said "not for bags" were written in sharpie on tape. I was sure I picked all the bag eligible items but when I went to check out every item was rung up. So instead of 7 dollars it came out to 23. In response to owner- I looked for the signs as best I could, I thought all these things I picked out were good to go. The signs are very small and not obvious so it's hard to tell what is individually priced and what's not. Everything in the store has a price on it. My husband, our little girl dog and I actually parked right outside this store and saw this Santa (we visited last month) which really peaked our interest (and also the name did too) so we decided to come in. There was a "time travel" Santa by the large window in a cool looking time travel machine that was available for free photos. This time travel Santa had a fun steam punk kind of attire and was more than happy to take photos with our little girl when asked if he would. We ended up decided to purchase these tiny little blocks we found in a small cabinet. My husband thought it would be nice to get these blocks to spell out our dog name and glue it to her wooden dog bed headboard. It made me laugh that the bag the employee put the blocks in was a brand new (clean) hamburger wrapper bag from Arco's AM/PM. The friendly employee told me that a customer donated boxes of these wrapper bags that he got from a storage that he ended up purchasing (as there were a few boxes of these just sitting in there). That definitely made me laugh since it just goes with the charm of this store. If I lived in this area, I know I would be a regular. For those of you visiting from Vancouver (or if you visit there), you can check out their other store, Urban Source (https://www.yelp.com/biz/urban-source-vancouver), in which the owner had opened that store first before opening this store in Tacoma.

I spent a good amount of time, checking out all the different and detailed items. Specifically, I really liked the magnets they sell here, as they have clever sayings with a colorful background. In fact, when I was checking out, I asked the owner if there were any more and she mentioned that she was making more magnets and to stop by again for different sayings. One that I bought says, "Not today motherfucker." Now who wouldn't want that hanging at their office? The Nearsighted Narwhal is a great store to browse and shop local.
