Under Armour is one of my must-stops whenever I shop at Vaughan Mills. I haven't had much luck over the years with finding a good promo, the right fit, size, or color. I was pleasantly surprised a few months back, when I was looking for a wind and waterproof rain jacket, and found exactly what I was looking for, and it was on sale. This past weekend, Under Armour had their 50% off. This is the first time I had such luck, and my husband and I had quite the shopping spree! I found t-shirts, capris, and sports masks in my size. They also provided an additional 10% off with a given email address. Aside from the sales, I was glad to see the fitting rooms open, after a long closure. A huge shout out to Giovanni and Erin, who were super patient and friendly. Jacob, who cashed us out was also incredibly helpful, and I noticed how carefully he folded our purchases. My husband couldn't find shorts in his size and requested they be ordered in, but Jacob noticed there were 4 in stock. He left the cash stand and found the size and color in mere minutes! I happened to be in the mall for another errand and decided I might be able to tick a gift item off my list. I like the product, even though it is pricey. I saw the sale signs and went in. I was looking for a specific style of T-shirt (v-neck) in a particular colour (black). I had a very hard time finding even one that fit my bill, never mind that I had hoped to be able to find a 3-pack of the item. It's a basic under item and I was quite disappointed with the lack of merchandise. I needed a sales rep to really dig and eventually go in the back room to come up with one basic black v-neck for men in a large. The shelves were full of neatly stacked but mixed up items. I asked about a 3-pack and the rep let me know that they hadn't received much in terms of deliveries at all. So much for finding what you need at an outlet store, even if it is under garments at a brand named UNDER ARMOUR. So, I had to settle for one instead of three shirts, and at the price I paid even with the 40% off, I'm not sure I don't regret it. I only hope and pray that this item fits my man, and that he doesn't have to go through hell after Christmas in this mall trying to exchange it - and worse yet, not being able to find a suitable replacement since I had such a hard time getting even a large in a basic black v-neck T-shirt. I think if I do try again, I'll browse online first and see if I have better luck that way. While I like the brand, I find the mark up is high, even when they have a 50% off promo. Selections can be quite limited. I have picked up some nice t-shirts and shorts, but it's really hit/miss. The line-ups can be long for the dressing rooms, and it's difficult to find help at times. I find it frustrating to get a $10 voucher when I've spent over $50, but it's only good for my "next" visit. I'm not at this mall often, so it would be great if they could extend the offer by more than two weeks. read more

With my plans to train for a half marathon over this winter, I knew I needed Under Amour to survive running outside in the Canadian cold. I came all the way to Vaughan Mills with the sole purpose of picking up gear from here. However, I am extremely disappointed by my experience at this store. I do not know the manager but almost all the employees need better training in terms of service and product knowledge. When I asked about the product, one of the guys did not know and had to ask another. When I asked this other employee, she explained that cold gear keeps you warm and heat gear keeps you cool--good to know. When I asked about what items I should get for running, she was only able to show me two items... seriously?! That's it?! (I found out later as I checked the online website that there are A LOT more options for women...) The employees need to have a better grasp of the store items. But that's fine, I don't mind exploring the store and figuring it out myself. I went around gathering everything I wanted to try; I mean, who would want to try an outfit and then go out again to pick some more? So I picked out about 20+ items and headed towards the change room. I was carrying so much that I had a shopper ask me a question only to realize I wasn't an employee. The staff at this store needs to be MORE ATTENTIVE. Clearly, I am here with the intention to buy things... why don't you start a change room for me, eh?? When I finally made it to the change rooms, this is another story.... I could only take 5 items in at a time, and I'm fine with that. I've been shopping before, I know the drill. I left the other items hanging on a rack outside the change room so I could rotate. The lady that brought me to the change room told the change room attendee about my items BUT the change room attendee... I have no clue whether he was paying attention or not, but he started to put away some of the clothes that I had gathered while I changing!!! How frustrating it was for me to get out of the change room to try the matching piece only to find it missing?????ARRRUUUUUGGGHHHHH!!! But that's fine... my main objective was not to purchase all 20+ items BUT I was going to get more than 5. So when I found ones that I liked, I told the change room attendee to "hold" onto it for me while I complete changing. After my time of trying on everything (at least whatever was left from the rack), I settled on a couple pieces and was excited to FINALLY make it to the the cashier only as I walked there, I realized... the sizes... I swear I settled on the small size that I told the change room attendee to "hold" onto but why am I holding onto the medium one?! And that's when I noticed a few of the items that I had, he handed it to me from my "discarded" pile. So... I had to go around the store to "re-shop" for items that I was originally planning to buy. HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?! I do not know how his mixup could have happened but I was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!! Never in my many years of shopping experience have I EVER EVER EVER experienced such an awful change room attendee. How could I hand you items to "hold" for me and then half the sizes get changed?! By the time I actually made it to the cashier, that was when I realize one of the hoodies that I found on sale and gave to the change room attendee to "hold" for me was gone and switched for another one that's full price. I don't know how that happened... honestly, I swear I did find one on sale and I didn't want to pay for one that was more expensive. FRUSTRATING!!!! And I noticed my experience at that cashier was different from others. The other cashier asked shoppers for their email as they cashed out while the person serving me did not. EXCUSE ME?! I would have actually loved to be on the mailing list, in the know for their sales, or enroll into their points/rewards program--I don't know BECAUSE I WAS NEVER ASKED!! This is very sad. I hope the manager reading this review would do something to improve their overall store experience for EVERY shopper. Even though, without a doubt, Under Amour does work, I don't see myself coming back to shop here again... with unknowledgeable employees, a careless change room attendee, and a hasty cashier. My shopping experience was a headache that I NEVER EVER EVER want to experience again. I'm sure there are other options to staying warm as I run outside in the cold Canadian winter. read more
