Christine and her husband Mauricio are a terrific team. They spent time measuring rooms, taking pictures and really getting a feel for the house. I was very impressed and decided to hire them on the spot. Within a day I received a detailed written estimate. She recommended which rooms were most important for staging and what I could do to save some money. I decided to do more than less and she got to work. Parking in a garage downtown for a frozen yogurt irks me so I rarely go. I passed this consignment and the moment I entered, my eyes grew big. It's mostly furniture---a mix of mid-century modern and other classic pieces--but also one of the best designer resales I've seen in the back. Every bench, piece of art, chair gorgeous. You just have to go in to appreciate the extraordinary taste of Lisa Faitell, who moved to SB from Westchester County (a tiny town my dear friend lives and I just spent three nights). It's a mother-daughter operation, which I love. They also do custom window treatments and you can arrange for delivery. In the hour I spent, a woman in Laurel Canyon bought a large bright aqua sectional couch. I love absolutely everything. Note: the clothing runs small. Best if you are a size 2, 4, or 6. I love that a New Yorker opened this store--in a pandemic no less. New Yorkers have grit and chutzpah, always rising to the challenge in the most fraught conditions. I bought a dress (48 dollars) and an incredible long sweater-jacket with pattern (50). Wearing the dress to the Granada Saturday, my first time since 2014 before I moved to the city. If you're downtown, you must go in. It's impossible not to come away with a treasure. I went in to look for plant stands and found an outdoor set for 50 they only sell as a pair. I stumbled upon this place thanks to a recommendation from a friend who got her window replaced here and when she told me the cost I was shook (because it was so low compared to quotes I had been getting from other places). I messaged them on yelp and got an immediate reply. The communication was amazing and consistent. They answered my questions, looked up my vehicle information with my VIN and gave me a quote. Imagine my surprise when they were THE BEST deal out of every place I contacted. And not only were they a great deal - they were literally 3x cheaper then what the dealer quoted me (I know I know - never get repairs at the dealership but still - that's an insane difference). I immediately booked with them. The whole process was seamless and professional. I dropped off my car in the morning, got a ride home and within three hours my car was ready for pickup. This is the third time I've trusted Iron Horse Auto Body in Santa Barbara, and once again they…read moreexceeded my expectations. The first time I was there, a young driver who was just learning to drive crashed into the front of my car, causing extensive damage. Iron Horse did an incredible job restoring my car, working with the insurance company, and making the entire process as stress-free as possible. They even took the time to reassure my son, who was driving at the time even though the accident wasn't his fault. Their kindness and professionalism meant a great deal to us. Recently, while my car was parked at Gelson's, I noticed a light orange, powdery residue that looked like it had dripped down the side of my car, leaving long streaks. I was concerned that something had happened to the paint, so the first place I thought to go was Iron Horse. The owner came outside, carefully looked over my car, and immediately put my mind at ease. She explained that she didn't think there was actually any damage to the car and suggested they try removing the residue first. She asked their technician, Pudge, to take a look. He came out with a polishing compound and a buffer, and within just a few minutes every mark completely disappeared. I was absolutely blown away. When I asked what I owed them, they simply smiled and said, "Nothing." I was so appreciative that I gave Pudge a tip. Businesses with this kind of honesty and integrity are becoming harder to find. They could have easily charged me for the service, but instead they chose to help me. Their workmanship is outstanding, but it's their ethics and genuine care for their customers that have earned my trust. We recently bought a home with 8 large south facing windows. During our annual fall heat wave the…read morehouse was sweltering!! I called Apex Auto Glass to describe my issues and they confirmed they did tint homes and made me an appt for an estimate, and worked with my crazy schedule without an issue! I was send confirmation and reminders leading up to the appt which was very helpful. I was also given a window for arrival time that was convenient and reasonable. Anthony called to say he would be arriving in 45 minutes and he was actually early!! (Love this so much) Prior to his arrival I had tried to peel off some of the film and removed TWO LAYERS OF TINT‍ and there was still more layers of tint completely covering the windows. Anthony assured me that removing the tint would be no problem. He was SO KNOWLEDGEABLE and helpful with the situation. We had VERY old auto tint on the windows. He walked me through my options after examining and measuring each window. I was worried and unsure, and so he left me with the two samples he saw working best for my situation-this way hubby could also weigh in when he was home. Anthony was polite, professional, and super nice!! We made the appt right there for removal and installation. As soon as Anthony arrived back to the office he mailed me the estimate, which was extremely reasonable!! Right before the appt I had some trepidation about my choices, and I called the office. Anthony called me right back and talked to me about what results I wanted and how these would work out for me. I am now feeling awesome about the job. Yay! Anthony and Angel arrived right on time, and got right to work. In a nutshell they rocked it!! The windows actually had TWO more layers of window tint that was very old and required a LOT of scraping and patience. Hubby and I were outside working and you can tell that these two enjoyed working together. They're so nice to each other and they made really quick work of the removal and I can tell you it looked like a nightmare to get off. But not a cranky comment from Anthony and Angel!! These guys were amazing!! We learned Angel is the automotive tint expert and if I ever need my car tinted he is definitely my guy!! With Anthonys expertise and experience we were in SUCH GOOD HANDS!! The guys finished and cleaned up absolute every teeny piece of the crummy old tint. I was super impressed!! And it already felt cooler inside the house!! Previously with hot weather we would have the window blinds shut, heavy curtains closed, and the ac cranked. I can confidently say that with hot weather we don't have to close the house up like a tomb. We DON'T EVEN HAVE TO CLOSE THE BLINDS!! The difference is mind blowing!! We are already planning on doing this tint on windows in some other rooms. If you are looking for stellar service, professional work, and knowledgeable technicians, then look no further than Apex.
