There has been no need for rework or problems afterwards. I appreciate the SPF protection provided by the quality XPEL tint. While there I asked about tinting a panoramic all glass roof for a different vehicle. Tom was extremely knowledgeable and explained why it should not be done, while other tint shops at that time were willing to do it. Also, please note that window tint laws are not direct. What the states publish are guidelines, since there is also the laws intent to work off of. This means that if it says you can't tint front windows, courts in certain states will allow it if it's a light tint, that one can see through.

I called a week in advance and told them I'd be coming in Monday morning to get sound deadening installed in the front doors and wheel wells of my station wagon. I even told them I already had the materials. They said "come in at 9." Simple enough. I took time off work and drove from midtown Manhattan all the way to their shop near Fordham University. I arrived at 9am -- their posted opening time -- only to watch the staff stroll in around 9:20. Then I had to wait while they dealt with a customer whose Bluetooth they'd installed incorrectly. When I finally spoke to the manager, I showed him the parts, explained the job, got a quote, and headed back to my office -- another $60 cab ride -- trusting they'd do what they said they could do. Ninety minutes later, they called to say they couldn't remove my tires because they were "on too tight." They didn't have the proper power tool to remove them. A mobile audio shop that can't remove wheels for a job they agreed to do. I asked if they could find a tool somewhere. They couldn't. I asked if they could at least do the front doors -- the part that didn't require touching the wheels. They said no, because they "already had other cars" and mine was now sitting in the street. So I took another $60 Uber back to pick up my untouched car. $120 in transportation, half a day of work lost, and absolutely nothing to show for it. They didn't even bother to do the portion of the job they could have done. I'm sure they have a couple of things they do well, but the devil‑may‑care attitude, the lack of basic tools, and the complete disregard for my time means I won't be returning. If you value professionalism, reliability, or even the slightest respect for your schedule, look elsewhere.

We chose NEW YORK CITY WINDOW TINTING, which we found on Yelp, where they've earned many excellent reviews. (I'm finally adding mine!) Jerry Ciccio is the principle. He did an excellent job on all my windows. The cost was reasonable, he and his helper arrived as planned, and finished and cleaned up very well. You'll have to do some measuring in advance, send the dimensions to him, and then Jerry can give you an estimate. He'ss answer any of your questions and concerns, and is a very congenial guy. Not only did they lie about the price, they did a terrible job. They made me believe they can do the job with my rain guards on, but one of my tints has a huge hole in it. When I confronted the place about the hole in my tint they treated me disrespectful and dismissive. They never replaced the tint with the hole. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. They lie About prices and customer service is terrible.

It took me over a week to research getting paint protection for my R/T. So many options and so many…read moresupposedly qualified installers. I got some very high end quotes($2500) and a few way too low quotes($800). I finally decided to go straight to the Xpel website and see who was an authorized installer in my area(Bronx NY). I saw Lorenzo(owner) name and gave him a call. He answered the phone himself and right away I could tell he was a straight talking very knowledgeable guy. He told me he's very busy but if I had some free time I could come in and look around. To my surprise when I showed up, although he was working .....he overheard me asking one is of his employees about Xpel installation and he came right over from detailing a Bentley and said" I'm Lorenzo the owner......let me show you around". He spent the next hour explaining exactly what he does and asked me what I want done and the timeframes and the $ involved. He's a great listener. I told him my car was 9 days old and I wanted to protect it right away. He told me he treats all cars the same whether they are a Lamborghini or a Honda. He showed me the Xpel he was doing on some other cars and I could see the care and attention to detail all his guys displayed. We worked out a very reasonable $ for the full hood,bumpers(front n rear), headlights/grill,Mirrors n mirror casings and front side around wheels and door handle cups and I brought the car in the next morning!!!!.... Yes he took pity on me I guess bc we both have Brooklyn/Bronx accents and he squeezed me in over the weekend. He called me Sunday night and told me my car was ready and I can pick it up anytime Monday I want. From the time I saw my car I was speechless... He went above and beyond and covered my whole grill and as you can see in the pics....this car has a huge front end and both upper and lower grills are complicated. He explained to me how this is no pre-cut sheets of Xpel ... It was a lot of custom cutting and he had some pieces left over and decided to do my grills. He walked around the whole car with me asking me if I had any questions and advising me about care/maintenance until I had no more questions. He was so patient it was unreal. All I can say is this guy is an old school business man... Been doing these installations since it all started and really takes pride in his work. He's an Artist. He guarantees all his work and told me to bring it back next week after it cures fully and he will go over the whole car with me again to double check it all. Much thanks to Junior, Lorenzo's assistant... He was great to talk to and after a few minutes anyone could tell he's been mentored by Lorenzo and knows his stuff as well. This whole experience started a faso confusing but once I could Lorenzo and his shop it all went super smoothly .... Just like he made my paint!!!! Thanks so much guys!!!!!
