I like the way their records are integrated with those of UCSD Health via MyChart (Epic). It's a very convenient location in the heart of Kensington. Parking on Adams Ave. is still free east of 42nd St.

Taylor through the online portal about three weeks ago. I am a new patient, and I entered all of my information during the booking process. At no point was I told that Dr. Taylor was not accepting new patients. Despite that, the system still allowed me to book the appointment, sent me through the process, and confirmed it. I chose Dr. Taylor at the Adams Avenue location very intentionally, because she is one of the few medical doctors there and many of the other available appointments appear to be with physician assistants. I arrived on time for my 10:00 AM appointment only to be told, after the fact, that I could not be seen because she does not accept new patients. That is not the patient's mistake. That is the clinic's mistake. A competent medical office does not allow patients to schedule appointments that were never going to be honored. A competent office does not wait until the patient is physically standing at the front desk to finally mention a restriction they should have disclosed from the start. And a competent office does not treat a patient's time as disposable because their own system is broken. This clinic needs to take responsibility for its own failures instead of pushing the consequences onto patients. If the online portal is inaccurate, fix it. If the staff knows certain doctors are not accepting new patients, stop those appointments from being booked. If management is aware of this issue and has done nothing, that is even worse. Patients should not have to pay for this clinic's disorganization with their time and energy. This was careless, misleading, and deeply unprofessional.

I didn't catch her name but one of the staff persons was assisting the elderly person to complete her paperwork and use the app. She was quite reassuring. The clinic is always exceptionally clean, and everything runs efficiently. I've only been here for my daughter's annual athletic physicals, and each visit has been consistently excellent. They already have the required paperwork for Sweetwater school district but it's best to bring your own to avoid glitches. The physical was only $40, and despite a busy waiting room, we were in and out in just 30 minutes. We arrived on a Saturday at 1:00 p.m. and walked out by 1:30. I have been here at 530 pm and walked out by 6. From entry to paperwork to physical. And I have excellent insurance! SB Urgent Care is opened seven days a week. Cash & card accepted. Opened in the evenings. No appointment necessary. I appreciate they are organized, affordable, and hassle-free. Although I come for the physical other patients were there for medical situations. The only drawback is that you can hear everything. If you have a sensitive situation, whisper or write it down. I am greatly pleased of this medical facility in the community that is accessible by bus, car, or your feet. "When health is accessible, lives are preserved ."

She confined the options with her supervisor and we were happy with the care. My only suggestion is to add a better epoxy to the medical room we were in. It didn't feel very clean. Overall, the visit was under an hour.
