A great hidden gem in Buchanan. They have healthy options to fill you up and great selection of cafe drinks, and homemade pastries. The service is fast, you can order online and when you arrive it will be ready to go. Or you can walk in and have your food in like 5 minutes or less. The owner is great and works with a lot of community people. It's a great place to take a breather from the rush rush of life.

Good coffee with many flavors to add. The prices weren't bad, especially in a small town. The staff was friendly. Inside was cute, lots of the original old architecture.

Walking through the alley behind the historic Pears Mill, you glance upon the Union Coffee House and Café on the corner across the street. From the outside, it has the original store front looking like an old bank, with a marble entryway into the café. Once inside there is an eclectic feeling of history, modern café and small town. Being greeted by a nice young lady, I ordered a decaf Americano then chose my favorite seat; a seat with a view of the building across the street that used to be The Eclipse, a Christian Venue/Club that we ran in the early 2000's. It brought back so many great memories of my wife, Dana, my son, Jeremy, and my daughter, Kylie, who we lost in a tragic car accident last year. The Americano soon arrived at my table, easing me out of memory lane. It was served in a coffee cup with a random design which was all part of the eclectic feel. Now, this was not the best americano I have ever had, but it was a good Americano. The barista on staff did not know what a ristretto shot was so comparisons are already off, but the espresso had a smooth flavor with an earthy after-taste that left a turpeny finish on your tongue. I enjoyed my Americano, enjoyed my memories and thanked my barista for an enjoyable afternoon. If you're looking for a friendly, relaxed environment to work or chat with your friends, Union Coffee House and Café is a great option. It is on my Great Coffee House of Michiana list and I will visit again. If you visit, look at the pink building across the street while you sip on your well crated beverage and know that that building is full of great memories for thousands of young adults.

This is my favorite coffee/breakfast/hang out spot in Buchanan, MI. The atmosphere is very hip and relaxed. This would be a great place to hang out and play board games with a friend while sippin' coffee or to study/work. And, of course, a great place for breakfast. Their Chai Latte is delicious, iced or hot. I tried it twice. I would also recommend the cold brew - you get one free refill! Their veggie wrap was very good, and their bagels were delicious. Friendly staff. They make this space feel welcoming and hip. There is free water available, board/card games, local newspaper, and a list of events happening for the month. The bathrooms are very clean and there's a mirror with sweet, positive messages written on it. Don't know that we'd enjoy Buchanan as much without this place around. Definitely a place you won't want to miss here in Buchanan.

    Granola bowl was a hit!

This place is super cute. They care about their products. The little raspberry bars taste like a pop tart. Granola yogurt was a hit with my fiancé. Definitely check out if in the area.

Nicely furnished corner coffee shop. I've only had their coffee, which is great, but they serve freshly made sandwiches as well.

Located next to Brasserie 23 and some nice apartments, the exterior of this café immediately gave off European café vibes. Inside, we were greeted by the staff and looked at the menu for a bit before ordering. About 5 minutes after ordering, we received our drinks and food from a few kind, fast, and professional baristas. There is free wifi and the two unisex bathrooms are clean. There is also a lot of places to sit and we saw a few students working on homework while sipping on their matcha lattes. The prices for everything is overall decent but still a little high. Bakery goods are priced well while the drinks are maybe a dollar too expensive. They only use locally sourced whole milk in their drinks as well, just an FYI. All around the cafe are various things for sale, like local coffee beans, glass jars of that whole milk, and yummy loaves of sourdough and foccacia bread. I am from out of town so I didn't buy any bread or milk but I wish I could have! As for the food, everything was indulgent and delicious! We ordered a lot. I got a cinnamon churro latte with GORGEOUS sky design art. The taste was pretty basic - Like a cinnamon hot chocolate. Very milk forward. My bf got a chai latte. This had strong flavor. I should get a different drink next time as I only like to pay $7 for drinks that are unique! My bad! So after we each had an indulgent caffeine drink, we then had a breakfast sandwich. I got the turkey/bacon and my bf got the sausage one. Bacon was good and slightly fatty and the bun/brioche bread was really poofy! After an hour or so of conversation with my bf's family and friends, we then shared an almond fragipange cookie (thiccc and moist) and a blueberry coffee cake slice. Both were great! We had the coffee cake at his home and enjoyed the cookie at the cafe. The cookie was just like the cookies from the famous Levain cookie chain. These are the kind of cookies you can only have infrequently because they are so high calories, but boy, they are delish! I already followed Caffe Capriccio on Instagram so I can keep track of limited time drinks and desserts! I'll be moving to this area next year to be with my boyfriend and am happy to say that we will definitely be back!

The Victorian Pantry is located in a small commercial strip that is easily missed if you are not a local or not already a loyal customer. My fiancé and I were visiting Granger during the holidays and The Victorian Pantry came up several times during conversation with glowing reviews so we thought to make a trip with a few friends before make the drive back to Chicago. The "cafe" itself is really tiny with 1 table available (to our surprise since we were meeting friends for coffee!). The business is mainly operating through online/worldwide orders of coffee beans/focaccia/other goodies. The owner decided to downsize from their original cafe that sat 100 guests to focus on their worldwide distribution of coffee. He was very kind and accommodating and gave us an extra stool so we can sit and chat while enjoying the delicious fresh brewed coffee! I tried the walnut roast blend with cream (no sugar) for about $3- ~ 16oz - 20 oz coffee! Not a bad deal at all. Again, I am not a coffee connoisseur, but the coffee was very smooth, nutty, and really intricate in flavor (delicious even without the sugar I'm used to having in order to mask the typical coffee taste!). You can buy fresh ground coffee (and I believe coffee beans) here at the store, or you can order online to have them ship it right to your door. Makes for a really nice gift for your coffee lover friends/family!

My friends (who do drink a lot of coffee) had the white Christmas blend and said it was delicious. You'll never stumble upon this place unless you're looking for it, as it's now back hidden on princess way. Very small interior and not much of a 'restaurant' anymore. My friends bought some coffee to go and I know several other people who frequently purchase coffee and focaccia from here and they say it is always delicious. If you're in the area, definitely check this place out. If you're not, give them a look online. Either way, this place exceeded expectations.
