Great little roadside stop for breakfast or lunch. My wife and I both went with the Salmon Bagel, with different cream cheese varieties. The staff is quick, friendly and knowledgeable, and the coffee is amazing (we went drip, but hey....if you do the basics well...). Would highly recommend for a quick but delicious bite.

What a rip off! Pay $4.25 for an ok coffee ... and want a refill ? Pay another $4.25 Go down the street to Barn Dog where ... yes, you pay .25 less for your coffee and ... the refills are free Whistle Stop has since opening has been overpriced; along with a bad attitude I hate being squeezed! We love Whistle Stop! Great spot for sandwiches, coffee, and niche grocery items. Many syrups and flavors for coffee. Plenty of outdoor seating with shade. We especially love the sandwiches! Quick service for a small spot.

If you are looking for a quaint place along the west side of Michigan to stop for lunch or coffee before hitting the beach or, if you're like me, finishing out a long road trip, this spot is perfect! The quaint shop, while small inside, offers a wide variety of cafe services. From artisan sandwiches and baked goods to delicious coffee from Ferris Coffee, I always make a point to make this a part of my drive back to the Chicagoland area after a Michigan adventure. The staff is also very pleasant and helpful if you need recommendations.

We enjoyed our breakfast at Whistle Stop Grocery! Their grocery assortment is unique and great brands of better quality foods. We got breakfast sandwiches and they were so good! I got a side of garlic aioli and it was fresh and amazing. My marshmallow latte was perfect. We went during Labor Day weekend and the wait was 30 minutes. It was worthwhile for us, the patio is lovely and we could bring our pup. What a beautiful little place! Reminded me of a place we went to in Sag Harbor called Harbor Market and Kitchen.

Sadly, disappointed in the new ipad ordering system which led to long waits and frustrated customers. This neighborhood gem is a perfect place to stop for a breakfast sandwich, lunch, deli items, snacks, household specialty items, wine and a great Kombucha on tap. Hoping they figure out the new system soon, one of our favorite spots in Harbor County!

i got matcha in my chai tea latte which i am not a fan of. if i was allergic i would have complained but since they are busy i will stay quiet. stay safe with the food contamination here, i have a fear allergies are not taken seriously here. the chai tea was good.

The ordering process is confusing and they're super sloooooow to fulfill orders. We ordered online ahead of time and while the ordering system indicate our food would be ready in 35 mins, it took just under one hour. While waiting customers were confused, clustered, and staff didn't do much of anything to help. I assisted more customers than the staff did, as customers walking in asked "do I need to order sandwiches online?" or "where do I order coffee." Happy to help, but I wasn't being paid haha Food quality was excellent, however not worth the chaos, IMO

Very convenient and pretty good selection for a small store near rental homes in Union Pier, MI. We were hoping to pick up some local wines here, but staff explained they don't sell them because there are so many wineries nearby. Pretty pricey for liquor here but some unique finds, like rich and decadent dark chocolate covered orange slices, homemade hummus and rosemary ciabatta bread. Good selection of cheeses, cured meats and unique items (like honey comb) for a delicious charcuterie board. The baked goods here looks really fresh and tasty too.

TLDR - overpriced for low quality food. $15 for a lb of chicken salad, $10 for a bagel sandwich on a sub-par bagel, soggy kale salad.

Overpriced. Slow service. Left after 20 minutes of waiting for a bfast sandwich. Knew this plane back before it was what it is.

The north shore of coffee shops....in Michigan! But it's still really strong and cute coffee. What more can you ask for!

It's been a minute since I've written a review!…read more David's is always a must whenever I'm in New Buffalo. I don't care where I'm staying, I always try to stop in for a mocha. Even if I'm driving through and somehow get close to Chicago early enough in a Sunday, I will stop here! They have the best iced mocha as mentioned above. I like it very lightly sweetened with regular milk. The owner seems to always take my order and takes it with care. She goes easier on the syrup since she can always add more but they're perfect every time. That's why we always have to make a stop! I also love getting a half order of lox with all the fixings on a multigrain slice. It's perfection every time! And a side of bacon is crispy every time. Oh...they make the best chocolate chip cookies EVER!!! Like ever!!!! Crispy, gooey amazing and omg if you toasted them...dangerous. Lots of great baked items to choose from. Yummm!! Get there early for the best selection. If they're open, make the stop in! You don't regret it. There's a reason lines are long. Support local too.

Wowww wow wow! I…read morewasnt sure what to expect when my friend suggested this place but I was thoroughly and pleasantly surprised. The "Detroit style" pizza really reminds me more of focaccia bread. It is SO fluffy and delightful. Unpopular opinion here but I typically don't consider pizza to be a "meal." It's something you eat when you don't have it in you to cook, and even if you get it in Chicago it's like...a last ditch effort at feeding yourself. BUT this feels like a meal. Like a treat. Like a schmancy lil indulgence you deserve. My friend is gluten free and I never in a million years would guess this is gluten free. I almost hope they didn't mistakenly put it on regular dough, for my friends sake. But if this is legitimately gluten free, I would gladly get it again even if I wasn't with a gluten intolerant friend. The artichoke pieces are massive, tender and tangy. The sausage is a bit strange, ground sausage instead of little lumps. And the mushrooms really top the "artesenal" feel. There's a cute little market with interesting delicacies and they have an incredibly diverse assortment of non-alcoholic beverages. The clerk did an amazing job of describing many of the options, took a lot of time making sure we knew what we were looking at. Definitely a connoisseur. Fabulous. A little pricey but, again, this is an indulgence. A meal. A quaint opportunity to relax and engulf yourself in fluffy, delectable fare that feels authentic and real. Not just ingredients tossed on a piece of dough for convenience sake. I look for to my next visit here!
