Unique is a nice bar. Drinks are great. Good prices. The owner Joe is almost always around and ensures there is plenty of drinks and that everything is up to bar. The bartenders there are lovely and amazing. Julia, Veronika, Nicole are my faves. Pool tables and dartboards are there. Bocce is played there as well. Leagues are available also. Dis are there on Friday and Saturday nights. Food can also be ordered from pizzeria or Chinese spots next door. Lotto machine also. Lots of happy hour as well. read more

I came here for Darts with my dart league. I must say..music was on point. It wasn't too loud since multiple different dart teams were playing. The food they had served us wasn't bad at all. The pizza was pretty good. Hot honey pepperoni wasn't bad at all, definitely better not eaten cold lol. A lot of regulars for a Tuesday night..everyone was respectful. Have a conversation with the owner , I don't know why anybody would give this place any business .. first time around guy was a scumbag to me and my friend's when we were nothing but respectful. Tried to give it another chance and I was asked to move my car because I was apparently blocking the lot when I was parked same as everybody. I asked why there was an issue and where I should park for future reference and I was told to get the fuck out of his place and that he could tell what type of kid I am and he doesn't like my face. Owners is a lowlife loser with no respect and does not know how to conduct himself. had a 20-40-60 birthday bash at unique lounge last month and they were amazing!!!!!! The place was PERFECT for my FULL OF LIFE BIG crowd. the staff was FRIENDLY, the bartenders were ON POINT!!!!!!! those girls worked that party and always with a smile!!!!!! Plus they are all ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!! the owner Joey and his wife paid attention to ALL the details even when I didn't, they made sure the party keep moving along and my guests were all good.......the pool tables and bocce court were a BIG HIT with everyone !!!!!!! the food selection was TERRIFIC everyone talked about how GREAT the food was and the PIZZA!!!!!!!! Couldn't help myself... I came back here with a friend to catch up. She wanted to have a night out but not have to worry about driving home. Lemme say... that was the BEST NIGHT EVER! LOL The Frozen Chocolate Carmel Martinis were both beautifully and deliciously made! The bartender is really sweet. She even refilled the martinis and at the end of the night, the last one was on her. We also had many rounds of shots of Jameson thanks to the regular guys at the bar. They kept buying us shots all night and we never asked them to at all. Hahaha. The couches also moved at some point during the night lol. They made room for people once the dance music was put on. I didn't see anyone dance that night, but it was still a cool night. Everyone was very nice, and surprising pretty polite for Staten Islanders. All in all, it was a great night! read more

I read some of these earlier bad reviews and despite some of them being comical, they clearly were blown out of proportion. This bar is your perfect neighborhood bar. Everyone makes you feel like family from the moment you walk in and there's plenty to do such as pool, darts and bocce ball. In addition, the people that are the regulars here are some of the nicest people I've ever met. It's a blue collar bar and the ownership is great as well. However I do warn you, Quick Draw might make some holes in your wallet. read more

Came here celebrate an engagement with a group of ~15 about a month ago. Pros: The decor is nice. Good selection of things to do (pool, darts, cornhole). There's only two bartenders. One of the bartenders was extremely kind to us --and is the only reason I gave two stars instead of one. Overall, the place appears to be clean and decently maintained. Cons: The younger bartender had a sour look on her face the entire night, clearly did not want to be there, and was not friendly or approachable at all. I felt so uncomfortable that I actually tried AVOIDING her any time we wanted to order another drink. My fiance was charged $8 for a bottle of IPA beer. When he asked why it was so expensive compared to other bottles, he was told it's because of the higher alcohol content. We shrugged it off. When he went back to buy a second IDENTICAL bottle of beer, the price was suddenly changed to $9. This was done by the unfriendly/younger bartender. We paid for the beer without really arguing (again, because we felt uncomfortable), then the bartender stood there with her arms folded and stared at us until we tipped her for her crappy service. RUDE, RUDE, RUDE!! The guys they pay to monitor the floors were more interested in scolding patrons than anything else. We were told we had to get away from a pool table because other people might want to play, but there were already 3 other tables open. I would understand if it was packed and there was a line waiting to play, but come on.. That was kind of petty. It felt like they were just looking for reasons to nitpick any potential "wrongdoings". Not to mention, we WERE actually playing pool. We took a short break in between games. Last but not least, this place is badly in need of a more talented DJ. The person mixing the music kept adding in unnecessary sound effects to the music (like bull horns, etc) at random, frequent times throughout the night that didn't make sense. It sounded like we were sitting in rush hour traffic. Not one single person in that bar was dancing or even nodding their head to the beat. My honest opinion - the music made the ambiance worse, not better. The last con is a simple one. There is only one toilet for each gender, and they are right next to a pool table. It was an awkward set up and made it difficult to squeeze past people playing. One bathroom = long lines. When you are drinking, bathroom lines are no fun. read more

I think "Unique Lounge" is a peculiar name for a place that seems so trite. It's located in a small strip mall (with a Chinese restaurant and a pizzeria) that shares a wall with a Shell gas station. There are twinkly lights hanging over the awning. It's kinda weird. Inside, there is a dartboard, several TVs tuned to sports events, a digital jukebox, and something like 4 pool tables. In addition to the seating at the bar, there are also several overstuffed chairs with small tables. (The chairs look like something out of your grandma's house... but they're comfortable!) The jukebox has almost every song imaginable ('cause it's hooked up to the interwebs) but it'll cost you quite a bit to keep the music going. And you'll want to keep the music going as there is nothing else going on in the lounge. The customers are your typical SI fare: preppy white boys... so don't expect any interesting conversations. Overall, it was an expensive evening that wasn't anything to write home about. read more

A friend and I didn't know what we wanted to do on a Saturday night but decided a simple night of shooting pool. This lounge had a relaxed feel and was exactly what we were looking for. Staff and bartenders were really nice and they made really good drinks. My friend said it was the best martini she's had. Prices for drinks were reasonable and including the pool game. Great music and lounge feel with big couches in the front and the pool tables in the bad. We waited for a pool table and they had five pool tables in the back part of the bar. The night we went they had a live bad. My friend and I met the owners who were really great. Cute couple. All In all...Great night out. We're definitely going back!!! read more

I have nothing but good things to say about my experience on my date last night when we came in to play pool. We were greeted very cordially and there was no problem getting our drinks whatsoever; my date thought it was very reasonable and we played for a couple of hours. Nice place to play pool, especially on the weekend during the day. You have your choice of the 5 Brunswick Medalist tables. All the tables were recently re-clothed and new balls and house cues were purchased. The price to play is fair and a cute, friendly Bar Girl to make your drinks or draw your favorite brew. A fully stocked bar with all the good stuff as well as a diverse beer selection (especially for a small neighborhood place). Not a food place, though hors d'oeuvre type food and frozen bar pies are available. Many TV's are placed throughout the bar and pool room so you can enjoy your local sports teams from anywhere (though a few of the TV's in the pool room are small). 4 Dart boards are available as well but you will interfere with the pool players on all boards except the main one in the bar area. 8 Ball, 9 Ball and Dart leagues are popular here and fill the bar a few nights during the week. Maybe one day they'll take over the Dry Cleaners space next door and add 4-5 more tables. read more

I enjoy this place, not as much as my friend Pete, but definitely a cool local hangout spot. Located in a strip wall with some parking spots but don't pout the parking lot across the street can be used (I think it's a Jewish center). When you walk in, to the right you have these ultra plush mini couches for that actual lounge feel and the left is the bar. Both bartenders are very sweet, the type that will talk you out of a problem guys (does that even go on in real life and not just the movies). The next room is the Billiards zone. Enough space to play. Prices aren't bad. The music that's pumping is usually good. The crowd is mostly couples in the back or guys that practice for their pool league during the week (yeah that's an actual real thing weird). After a certain time, the couches get moved in the front and everyone engages in drunken dances. The DJ is amazing, tell him you like a song and he will play it 5 times in a row hahahaha ;) read more

Great local Staten Island Bar, This place reminds me of the t.v. show "CHEERS" where everybody knows your name. A lot of locals come here to socialize and have a good time. You have pool, darts, cornhole, bocce and Quickdraw lotto at the bar. Their bartenders are great. Given you always top notch service when ordering a drink. On Friday's and Saturday's they usually have an in house DJ that plays good beats all night long. If you come during the week you can play your own tunes using the Jukebox. Threw out the bar you have t.v.'s so you can watch a sporting event as your playing pool, bocce, darts, cornhole or if you just come to socialize at the bar and have a drink or two. read more

I was pleasantly surprised by this "lounge" when I came for a birthday recently. I had only been here once before for a fundraiser, so I didn't get a real feel for it. I like that there is additional parking across the street and there was no cover to get in on a Friday night. The bartenders were very attentive and the drink prices were average. Definitely not coming back here. Owner was sitting at the bar gave us a nasty attitude!!! Bartender was sweet. Wanted to play pool with some friends but the way this guy came off as soon as we walked in was horrible. How do you run a business like that. Cool place run by cool people. We came to play pool, and we were surprised to find a place with interesting vibe, kind of a lounge-bar-club vibe which is very cool (For me anyway). And the prices, sometime I just can't believe, or maybe that's the way prices should be? We always play for more than an hour, drink and bites, and never spend more than 100$ for 3 people. Two rooms one with bar and probably softest lounge chairs ever created although who knows how many have sat in it. Second room has 3 pool tables and electric song select jukebox. Me and my friends enjoy playing pool. For years we have been going to Cue Time Billiards in New Dorp, but recently we came across unique lounge and decided to try it being that it was much closer and more convenient for us. We decided to play for an hour which we were told was $5 per person. Not bad. Our issue came after our game when we had to pay. We were then told that we went over the hour and had to pay an additional $5. We looked at the time and realized we were 8 minutes past our hour. We thought this was a joke until a man at the bar, I'm assuming the owner, told us that it charges automatically. Naturally we were pretty disgusted and we felt pretty scammed. They diddnt seem to care in the slightest and actually seemed to get annoyed that we were annoyed. This is definitely not what we are used to and it would've been nice to be warned about the automatic charges before hand. We've honestly never been to a pool hall that was more stingy and rude than here. It's a shame because me and all my friends enjoyed ourselves up until that point and we wanted to make this place our new hangout spot, but now we will never recommend this place to anyone. We will be taking our time and money back to Cue Time Billiards and we recommend the same for anyone who wants to play casual games of pool or darts without the need to check the time every few minutes to make sure you're not going slightly over your hour and being charged extra. read more

On the surface, friendly staff but a deeper look reveals their grimy practices and overall hostile attitude. I had been to this place a couple of times prior to my negative experience. I did not notice anything and they seemed accommodating and friendly. But then tonight, I go and play for an hour and the staff seemed fine at first. That is, up until we attempt to pay the bill. The lady looks at my friends and I, and tell us we have exceeded the time limit and will have to pay an extra 5$. On the surface this seems rather fair, but we were only over time by 8 minutes and they would not even discuss the possibility of forgiving the mistake. In fact, they had some goon working at the bar, who basically tells us we have to pay. This was only my second or third time coming there, and I could not believe that without warning they charged us extra money that was extraordinarily excessive for the original price of 15$. If you do the math a 5$ extra charge meant they were charging us each for an extra 20 minutes when we only played 8 minutes over. We didn't know about this rule and it implies that since going over the clock instantly makes you pay extra, a customer would have to show up to pay exactly on time or before or get charged without warning. Poorly and distastefully handled by the staff, and I know I was not alone in feeling that the worker at the bar was threatening because my friends and I were all uncomfortable with contesting or at least inquiring about the extra charge. Its not about the money, its about the principle, the staff is unfair and cold and I couldn't help but feel like we had been scammed. I know I'm not coming back and if they continue with this sleazy, rigid policy they will lose many more. Edit: Just realized that goon at the bar was the owner. This place is cool and so close to my house when we don't feel like traveling all the way to forest ave. This place has more of a Loungy feel, so if your not into that then this place isn't for you. I think they play good music and the owner and his daughter are the sweetest and attentive towards you for drinks. Came here because it was late night on a Saturday and my friends were bored and wanted to try something new. All the other places with pool tables were either closed already or would be closing an hour after we got there. We got to this place and it was amazing. Everyone in there from workers to customers was extremely friendly. You never know what you're going to get going to a new place which is why people often frequent their usual spots. I'm letting everyone that reads this know this now- take a chance on this place. IT WILL BE WORTH IT! My friends and I got a few drinks that were pretty cheap even though it wasn't happy hour and we played pool for at least 2 hours and it only cost us $20. It was worth every penny. Clean. Has 6 pool tables. Its a nice place to go with friends, grab a beer and play a few games of pool. Monday-Thursday for that. But Friday and Saturday night you get a lot of those typical staten island guys, you seem them the juice heads. Plus really loud dj for a small place and it get really packed. And the place is small. I went to go and play pool here with a few friends. There was also a live band playing this night. Within two minutes of our game a women spilled her beer on our pool table. So we asked a worker to help us out. The worker came over and immediately pointing fingers of who did it, and it was not me or my friends. anyways he dried it. But he then was speaking to the women who dropped her beer and some of that womens her friends. He leaned on our table as did the women and didnt move when we said "excuse me" because we needed that side of the table to shoot the ball. He (the worker) then decided to point directly at me, make eye contact and talk about me to the women who spilled the beer. They proceeded to keep looking at me. Thats when i decided it was time to go. And all of this happened in less then ten minutes. But we had to be charged for using the table. When half the time they had to clean the beer off of it and one of their workers was unprofessional. I'm sorry but keep your fingers and your eyes to yourself read more
