I've owned two World Cats and can compare my experience with Ocean Blue Yacht Sales (295DC) and Unique Marine (325DC). Sales experience at both was excellent--no complaints. The boats themselves are outstanding: great in shallow water and very capable in rough seas. The difference is in service. Ocean Blue was proactive and responsive, even sending technicians to the dock for minor warranty items. That made ownership easy. Unique Marine, on the other hand, has been frustrating. While the staff is always polite, they seem unable or unwilling to provide on-site support. Multiple warranty issues--including an A/C pump, generator sensor, cabin leak, and now a breaker problem--required repeated follow-ups, with little action unless I involved World Cat directly. In several cases, I was told to bring the boat in, which is not a simple task with a 32' boat in the Keys. In one instance, I was told they couldn't help at all and had no referral. Bottom line: great boats, good sales teams--but post-sale support from Unique Marine has been disappointing. If service after the sale matters to you, take that into account before buying. read more

As others mention, Poor if any communication, right hand doesn't know what the left is doing. Terrible Customer service. They don't do what they say. Free for all. They may handle walkin sales better. They shouldn't advertise nationwide if they can't accommodate buyers over 1000 miles away. I offered to put a deposit right away after I was able to have the seller realize they were priced too high and they reduced their price. Unique wouldn't take my deposit via Credit Card. I had no trade in and did not need a loan on a 145k boat. They told me I had to wire the funds after which I had 5-7 days to complete the deal, yet they took a 10% deposit from someone and then it took 20 days for them to receive their loan. My first experience with Unique Marine was absolutely great! When I walked in the door, I sensed a friendly vibe. Tracey and Michelle went to work right away and got the business done efficiently. We had a problem, and they solved it. So, if you have an issue with your boat or boats, get them down to Unique Marine! Those three women will definitely take care of the problem. Each person I interacted with in the sales office was very knowledgable, did not rush or pressure me and treated me as if I were their sister. I have been a customer at Unique Marine for over two years now with not only a purchase of a new WorldCat boat but also for mobile service calls and most recently a 100 hour service call that included a checklist one would expect to have after owning a boat for 18 months. I wonder if some of these reviewers actually were customers of Unique Marine because my experience with them is totally different from the experiences they are describing. I have only had a great relationship with this company, beginning with the efforts my salesperson took after I left my drivers license at the yard and he drove all the way to Miami Airport to make sure I had an ID for my flight! (I made the flight as well as he made it to the airport in record time from Tavenier). Post purchase Unique has been very prompt with my questions and concerns and patient as they educated me on the various features of the boat. Recently I took it in for a 100 hr service and they could not have been more thorough in the process, even upgrading the systems with features that I did not have prior. They hit everything from the boat mechanics to the lights and even boat labels that had fallen off. There were a couple outstanding items where the service technician came to my house to finish and he went through the checklist again even if it wasn't required. I love my WorldCat. I knew coming in there would be issues (if you don't think there are issues on any new boat think again) and Unique was there to resolve them everytime. When I get that 2 ft disease you get with a boat I am going back to Unique to have it cured. Thank you Tracy and team! read more

My husband and I just drove up here from Big Pine Key. The nicest sales guy was showing us boats and took us to the size boat we wanted to see. As soon as we got there, a hateful female employee came striding up and shamed him in front of us! She sharply called his name, shook her head No! And said "We don't allow customers back here!" We were all embarrassed! Unique Marine! Get rid of that chick! She is bad karma! A total turn off! The proper way to handle this situation was she should have taken her new employee to the side after we left and told him discreetly not to take customers back there! Rude!!! read more

I recently finalized a purchase of a used boat with this company. Randy Segal was my direct salesperson. It was the first boat I have ever purchased, so I was a bit worried about having a smooth deal. Randy was always responsive and had my trust in no time. He answered all questions directly. I did a sea trial of the boat down near them and they even delivered the boat up to me in Broward County and again showed me the basics of trailering the boat and dropping it off into the water. So, the boat was in the water twice and both times Randy was very helpful. I got the feeling it wasn't just selling the boat to me, but they added the extra "friendly help" component. The contract part was very easy and I feel the price was right. So, I would obviously recommend them to anyone looking for a boat. Terrible customer service from upper management Tracey is extremely rude, but actually walked away got in her truck drove away saying she couldn't address the situation as she had to go pick her kids up, this is after she made me wait 20 minutes to talk to her this was all about the boat I had bought that her employees put not one but two gashes in and then tried to down play the issue. Todd her brother when I got to talk to him told me they scratch 2-3 boats a week these are not people who should be owning and conducting a business. I had to call the manufacturer and have my warranty changed to another dealer I hope this can save the next person from dealing with the nightmare I had to, Tracey and Todd had promised a perfect repair and that was not delivered. read more

Service gives you a huge run around and you never get a straight answer while they treat you like they are doing you a favor. They installed my 30k in electronics in my new worldcat with out grounding them. My sonar was not installed and set up properly. They are Garmin certified to sell but not install the electronics. Service prices are off the wall high. My new boat had no wax on it. 20 hour service is $800. Buyer beware. read more

I've seen many negative reviews about this place but I can tell you from my own personal experience that it's all false. I bought my brand new Robalo Cayman 206 from Unique Marine and they couldn't have been more polite, professional and helpful. Randy and Chad did everything possible to help me get the boat I wanted and made it work within my budget. They made sure I was comfortable and made the process very easy and painless. When the boat was being delivered Nick was great and showed me every detail on how to use all the features on the boat and how to maintain everything. When It came down to service Tracy and Kim where also amazing. They kept in touch letting me know the status of my service even sending me pictures of the progress. When picking up my boat I can tell they went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and far exceeded my expectations.
