This review is to warn perspective worldcat buyers to go elsewhere, worldcat DOES NOT stand behind…read moretheir product. my name is Rob Pearson, I spent over $1 million dollars on a 2022 40 ccx worldcat, and because of their horrific Empirbus digital system that is worthless in that it never works. What does this mean? It means I'm putting the lives of those that come aboard in grave danger. When the empirbus system fails, (Which is all the time) it renders my GPS out of operation, which in turn means I cannot even get to the things that are needed to run my boat safely. Here is a list of things I cannot get to when the system is down. Nav lights, bait wells, windless anchor, fish box, all lighting on the boat, the horn, fresh and saltwater wash down, fishbox pump out and of course my 2 main Gamin GPS screens. This system is so bad in just 3 short years Worldcat has decided to scrap them and return to an analog system. So, like a vehicle recall why won't Worldcat make good on their product and fix it? I don't know, I have tried repeatedly to contact them, and they have decided to completely ignore my calls. I have been selling tomatoes for the largest tomato produce in North America for 43 years, one thing my owners have always pressed upon on is 'WE STAND BEHIND OUR PRODUCT) why won't worldcat do the same? I'm not asking for extra, I just want what I purchased, Trust me when I tell you the way my boat functions now because of this faulty system, telling you my passengers' lives are in danger is NOT an exaggeration. I have spent thousands trying to fix this problem, its unfixable, it must be ripped out and a much more efficient analog system put in its place. Is that expensive? Yes, it is, but standing behind their product is what quality companies do. I am not being critical of Unique, Michelle is the service department had gone above and beyond trying to resolve this, God bless her, but my boat is damn near worthless at this stage and the only ones that can change that are the ones that built it and sold it. So beware, WORLDCAT DOES NOT STAND behind their product, you'd be far better off buying a boat from a manufacture that does.

They may handle walkin sales better. They shouldn't advertise nationwide if they can't accommodate buyers over 1000 miles away. I offered to put a deposit right away after I was able to have the seller realize they were priced too high and they reduced their price. Unique wouldn't take my deposit via Credit Card. I had no trade in and did not need a loan on a 145k boat. They told me I had to wire the funds after which I had 5-7 days to complete the deal, yet they took a 10% deposit from someone and then it took 20 days for them to receive their loan. Total BS

Bottom line up front: you won't find a better mechanic or better human being to work on your boat…read morethan Mike LeBoeuf. If you read no further, know that Mike and his team will do the job extremely well and do it right. I am surprised that there are not more reviews on here, but I attribute that to the LeBouef's strong word of mouth business in the Keys and relatively small online presence. I witnessed this first hand, meeting SEVERAL people in Key Largo who went out of their way to vouch for Mike and his incredible reputation. I got to see first hand just how experienced and meticulous Mike is, and even more impressively, what a stand-up guy he is. How was this so clear to me? Well, I was very fortunate to recently purchase a meticulously maintained boat from the LeBoeuf's, and through the process got to know Mike and his lovely wife Lori on a personal level. They are expanding their business and needed to sell the boat. Being a relatively novice boater who recently moved to Key West, I was a skeptical buyer keenly aware of my own inexperience, and I spent a large portion of the long drive up to Key Largo wondering if I would regret not having a professional surveyor accompany me. As it turns out, a surveyor would have been useless as Mike essentially did it all himself, while giving me an education in how to properly survey a boat in the process (e.g. at one point he was literally hanging from the motor while shoving it down to demonstrate the strength of the newly customized transom). We came to an agreement soon after, and my "new" (1987) boat stands as a glowing endorsement to the meticulous work the LeBoeuf's are known for... The story doesn't end there. While on the trip home to Key West with the boat, one of the tires blew on the trailer and I didn't have a spare. It was night-time, and my wife and son were with me. On a whim I texted Mike to let him know our predicament, and Mike and his wife Lori DROVE 45 MINUTES WITH A SPARE TRAILER TIRE AND HELPED ME CHANGE IT (an extra 1+30 ROUNDTRIP ). He didn't have to do that. Money had already exchanged hands, and this boat was no longer his or his responsibility, but he and Lori extended their already long day to help us out for no other reason than that is the kind of people these folks are. My only complaint is that these folks aren't located closer to Key West. People like the LeBoeuf's are hard to find these days; trust them with your boat!

I can say working with Joe is awesome and it is rare these days to work with any trade or industry where the experience is this easy. Highly recommend.

While we were initially a bit disappointed that some of the items had not been repaired the day we took possession, it turned out that there were legitimate reasons for this and, in fact, they had gone above and beyond the survey list in some regards and installed some brand new equipment. We continued to run into problems with some of the systems as we got to know the boat over the next couple weeks but Yacht Works---Ryan and Hector-- attended to each of them in turn with a fantastic attitude and professionalism. The biggest problem was that the flybridge engine controls were not functioning as they should. They thought that they had repaired this but it turned out that the controls were defective and ultimately had to be sent to the manufacturer in S. Carolina for repair--all at Yacht Works' expense. We had them back in a week's time, installed, calibrated and then a successful sea trial. We were finally able to leave the marina and head down to our more permanent "home" in Marathon. I can not say enough good things about Ryan and Hector whose response to all the issues we encountered was thorough, pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. I can unquestionably recommend this company to anyone interested in a boat purchase or in need of service work.
