This was hands down the worst nail salon experience I've ever had. I walked in asking for a regular polish manicure with French tips and a gel pedicure. I made it clear multiple times, before and during the appointment, that I wanted regular polish for the manicure. Despite this, the tech started applying gel polish without saying a word. I showed a reference photo at the start, but the manicure looked nothing like it. I had to keep asking her to fix it, and it still wasn't close. When I pointed out the wrong polish was being used, she finally checked with the manager, who informed me, after the fact, that they "only do gel French tips." That crucial detail was never communicated when I initially asked for the service. At that point, I told them I didn't want the gel manicure because it wasn't what I asked for and looked terrible. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the manager began yelling, cussing, and cutting me off any time I tried to explain. He was aggressive, rude, and completely unprofessional. To make things worse, my nail shape was completely butchered. The filing was uneven, crooked and sloppy. My cuticles look terrible. I left without my manicure finished, which they still had me pay for. The photos I posted are how they left my nails, vs the inspiration pictures I showed them. This place is unskilled, dishonest, and downright abusive in how they treat customers. I wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone unless you're looking to waste your time, your money, and leave angrier than you walked in. read more

I'm incredibly disappointed with the way I've been treated by Vince at Unique Nails. For over a month, I reached out via calls and IG DMs with no response. A friend I had referred even mentioned my name to Vince, and he laughed as they inquired on my behalf, but he said nothing. I gave him the benefit of the doubt, assuming they were busy or something personal was going on and have continued to reach out with no response. Out of curiosity, I tried calling from another number today and Vince answered immediately. When I asked if he was avoiding me, his response was, "yes and no." I was shocked. What happened to basic customer service or simple decency? If you no longer want to work with someone, just say so. Silence and avoidance are unprofessional and disrespectful, especially for a customer-facing business. I shared my disappointment with his and he said nothing - his attitude seemed very "oh well"! To be transparent, I have had to cancel a few times over the past few months due to work and life conflicts, but I always communicated in advance. I've been a loyal customer for years (over 4 years), even during slower times, and I've always tipped generously. The least I expected was open communication if there was an issue. I originally found Unique Nails through Roswell Moms and have recommended Vince and Cindy to others many times! Sadly, I can no longer do so in good conscience. I had the worst experience I've ever had at this salon today. I've been coming here for a while because I love how they do my toes -- only my toes. I usually get them done by either the Hispanic woman or man, and they always do a great job. I've never had my nails done by the Asian owners before, but the husband has always been kind to me when I'm there. Today, I decided to get my toes done, and the woman (owner) did them. From the very beginning, the experience felt rushed and careless. She finished "cleaning up" my nails in about 10 minutes, and it was very obvious that she didn't put much effort into it. I kindly let her know that I usually have my nails trimmed and cleaned a certain way, but both times I tried to explain, she got an attitude. And I wasn't rude at all --I said it in the nicest, calmest way possible because I genuinely respect the work this salon can do, which is why I've kept coming back. Then, when I asked if she could trim one of my toenails a little more because it was causing discomfort, she told me it was probably my shoes. I was wearing sandals, so that made no sense. At that point, I realized she wasn't really listening to anything I was saying. She didn't acknowledge the issues I brought up and just kept going. When she applied the gel polish to my toes, I noticed right away that she missed a spot on several toenails. I thought maybe she'd fix it with the second coat -- but she didn't. I let her know gently that I didn't like how they looked. The polish was uneven, the nails weren't fully covered, and nothing was cleaned up. It just looked messy. Even worse, one of my toenails had a visible dent in it from how the base was applied. I bent down to double-check and even noticed the rag she used smelled bad, which was just gross. I asked her several times ( kindly ) if she could just remove the polish. I told her I didn't have time for a redo because I had to leave soon, but I'd be happy to come back another day. I even offered to pay for her time, but I just didn't want to leave with work I wasn't happy with. She ignored me, got visibly upset, took a photo of my toes, and started talking to her husband in another language. Then she walked away and handed things over to him -- even though he was already working on another client. Her husband ended up stepping in to "fix" the situation, and while he was more respectful, I still felt unheard. I told him multiple times that I just wanted them removed because I didn't like how they turned out. But he didn't listen either. In the end, I was forced to pay for something I clearly wasn't happy with. I left on the verge of tears. What hurt the most is that I really tried to handle the situation with patience and kindness. I wasn't loud, rude, or disrespectful at all -- I calmly spoke up for myself, and it didn't matter. I even overheard her telling another client, "You have to speak up if something's wrong," when I did speak up -- more than once. They just didn't care. I've always thought they treated their clients with kindness, especially since they'd always been nice to me in the past. But after today, I'm done. I won't be coming back, and I definitely won't recommend this place to anyone. read more

The woman took their time during the mani pedi. The staff was welcoming and explained all services. I was asked my preference and given options including the nail length and whether I wanted natural or square style nails. Though both I and the staff were in a mask which did get a bit hard to breath after a while they made the experience as pleasurable as possible. The establishment was also well priced, only $30 for the mani pedi. I would recommend anyone in the Roswell area to check this place out! read more

My girlfriend who's turning 50 asked me to go with her to her Eyebrow Tattoo session. Yes I said tattooso on the brows. I was skeptical so I was definitely down to witness this procedure. I just thought it was one of her hair brained ideas. She showed me a page on Instagram called @broesbynn Brows by Ann. We went for a 3:00pm appointment on a Sunday all the way on the Northside to Roswell GA. It was a little hard finding the place because we really didn't realize it was a nail salon called Unique Nails. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by Ann who was doing a client's nails. She knew why we were there without us telling her do that was nice. The place is nice. The chandeliers will catch your attention immediately. We were offered water, coke or hot green tea whole we waited. I chose water. They called my friend to the back. She started getting a nervous. Ann calmed her down by simply talking to her. She is extremely easy to talk to. She didn't get tired of the many questions. She was simply great. First she stenciled and drew eyebrows on her face as if she was getting good makeup done. She used a stick of some sort to make sure it was symmetrical. It was beautiful just the way she did it. My friend got what is known as Eyebrow Stroke where she tattoos individual lines that look like hair. Swear to goodness it's hard to tell it's not hair. A numbing cream is used but my friend advised you have to have a high tolerance for pain. I do believe it was worth it because it looks like her whole face bloomed afterwards. I had been following their Instagram and loving the nail pics and had read some great reviews on the Roswell Mom's Facebook page so I called on a Wednesday morning and was able to get in same day. I wasn't sure what I wanted not having done anything to my nails in about 10 months but Vince was really helpful In explaining things and I chose SNS and the pink and red ombré Cindy did is gorgeous! But I recently went back for a fill this past Saturday, and I will not be coming back! It started when I entered... I let the girl at the desk know that I wanted a fill (and pedicure). I'm not sure where the miscommunication was but she kept saying I couldn't get a fill because my nail polish was too dark... um- what??? File that shit off and re-apply my new set. The fuck are you talking about?? Then she started cutting them without even asking me. I wanted them a little shorter, but after all was said and done I was not happy with the fact that she didn't even consult me about the length. Then she acted surprised when she realized I had gel nails and could indeed get a fill- NO SHIT The guy that did my nails did a piss poor job because here it is Monday and one has already broken. That is a big NO NO. Not to mention my middle figure it poorly mis-shaped (see the photo! One nail is broken and the other is poorly shaped) . When it came time to pay, I showed the coupon they offered on yelp -20% off when you check-in... but the guy that rang us out kept saying it only applied Monday- Friday. I don't have time for bullshit stipulations. There is no fine print on yelp mentioning these so called rules. I also like that they weren't pushy with the up selling. However, I will update if anything changes...fingers crossed. Anne did my nails and did a phenomenal job! She is the owner of the shop and made sure that my experience was a great one! She showed her expertise by giving me knowledge on nails. She continuously asked me throughout on what I want/ like. V did my pedicure (basic option, $20). I can be particular and she was very thorough. She was patient with me in regards to choosing a color. She also gave great convo! Now to the massage...amazing, very relaxing. She did a great job and I enjoyed every minute of it. I definitely recommend giving this nail salon a shot. Remember my eyelash disaster from a few months ago? You know, the one where the very kind ladies at Unique Nail Spa had to undo the botched lash extensions that Natalie at Golden Brush Salon did?Well, I decided to stop being cheap and pay to get quality eyelash extensions. I called yesterday and made an appointment with Ann. I got there and she took me to one of the back rooms right away. Unlike the first time I had my lashes done at that Golden Brush Salon, there was absolutely no pain involved in the process-not even the slightest bit of discomfort. I couldn't smell the glue Ann used and my eyes were not glued shut. I did not end up with pink eye in both eyes. Everything went the way it should've. Ann was gentle and I could tell she was making sure my lashes were as perfect as she could possibly get them. The full set of classic lash application may have taken about an hour or so, but I didn't notice the time because I fell asleep several times, that's how comfortable I was. When it was done......WOW!!! Ann did an AMAZING job!!!! I can't even see where my real lashes end and the lash extensions begin and I certainly don't see any glue. I can run a lash wand through them with ease, as though they're actually my lashes. I couldn't be happier!!! read more

This salon is absolutely amazing. I walked in and they took me immediately. They have ample amount of choices for colors and they do a great job on your nails---check out my pictures to look at what my nails look like. They make sure that your nails look great before you walk out. Even though the salon was not crowded when I walked in, I was one of two people on a weekday at 2 PM, the owner jumped in to do my nails while someone else was working on my pedicure which was amazing because I didn't care to spend two hours there I just wanted to be done. Best part, I didn't have to tell them that, they just went ahead and did it. Pretty much it seemed like, if they have the people to work on you and get you out of there, they will do it! Plus it didn't hurt they already had some pretty good reviews and pictures with what I was looking for which is SNS. Ann did my nails and was very nice and did them exactly to my liking. I also got a pedicure which was great as well. I like they didn't try to sell me a bunch of extras you know like the other nail places do. I drove 30 minutes just to get here and it was totally worth the drive! Vanessa did an amazing job on my nails! She took her time and was very thorough.
