After reading some of their reviews I'm shocked. I have been going here for years with my daughter and have always had a good experience. The owner and staff are always ready to help find sizes and styles that we like. The store has a huge amount of stock and are always getting new merchandize in. They always have a sidewalk sale with plenty of stuff. They have lots of jeans and casual cloths from many different designers. Went there for black Friday and they had everything 40% off. I know the husband of the owner isn't the friendliest but the girls are all super nice. They usually have their dogs behind the counter and they are the cutest. They are located in the Publix shopping center and have plenty of parking. Open Monday-Sunday varies hours. read more

I would like to preface this by saying that this is my first bad review EVER.... I have never in my life met a more rude person than the man behind the counter at this store.... Why a gentleman (not even sure why I'm calling him a gentleman that would show class... how about dude?) would be working in a womens store without people skills is far beyond me. I should also say that the only reason this place is getting one star from me is because I couldn't give it 0. I had never been here before, but had received numerous gifts from my family from here... I finally received one that I wasn't 100% fond of and it got me into the store. I was always told that I should go there and that I would absolutely love it.... Ha! I was greeted by this dude behind the counter with a grunt... his dog was on the sales counter and I complimented the dog (it was a pomeranian and I have one too) I was given a grunt by the dude for that too... Awesome! Nice to meet you! I was walking around the store for about 10 minutes picking something else out when the dude screams... UGH!!! This sweater smells! He proceeds to yell across the store at me that he is not taking the return because of the stench as well as that the receipt shows that it is from 6 weeks ago. Now, I can't control the way a cheap ty-dyed sweater smells after 2 weeks of being in the bag. I also can't control when someone buys a gift around the holidays. Most normal stores extend their return/exchange period around that time knowing that gifts are purchased. He continued to belittle me (across the store mind you with other shoppers in it) with his grunting ugh! ugh! Come up here and smell this... Ugh! It was totally humiliating.... I do not smoke, I did not wear it, It was a gift.. I'm giving it back in original condition, in the original bag with the sales receipt. He was telling me then that I could only exchange it for something on the sales rack so then "he wouldn't feel so bad about it" and that "I could pick something out for the price, less the cleaning bill" LOL Such a jerk.. I have to laugh about this now. The store was such a let down after being hyped up for so many years. I do have to say that the women in the store were very nice and accommodating once he was gone... He left the store for some reason... Maybe it was him that smelled ;) Anyway... I would never go back and I'm telling my family not to buy me gifts from there. As a business owner myself I understand that customer service goes a long way.... So long that if you don't have it, it will eventually push people out the door. read more

The sidewalk sale is always good, same with the clothing inside BUT it is difficult to get past the owners- their attitude like you are doing them a favor for shopping in their store. I gave a compliment to her for her necklace she was wearing and I asked if she sold it in her store. She replied rudely " you couldn't buy this for a million dollars"... really was that answer necessary? I visit very sporadically and try to get past the self absorbed attitudes... read more

I LOVE shopping at Unique Wear whenever I am in South Florida - and coming from someone who lives in NYC with all of the stores here, I enjoy getting great personalized service from the owners. They always have exactly what I'm looking for - things that would take me hours to find in Manhattan - and amazing prices. You can't beat the selection. I was shopping on 'Small Business Saturday", was displeased by the way the treated me. I purchased a necklace and tag had to prices. Many items were marked down to a low price. They did not honor the low price, and spoke to me in a unprofessional manner. I purchased item because I feel I am better then their rude remark. Just because I did not spend over $100 on one item makes me less a person. They scratched low price and said written price was item. I should of not purchased item and returned all other items I purchased that day. Well now my friend and I will not return. read more

Yes, I agree with the last review. The man is extremely rude. He has no personality and should be in his office and not working with people. I have been a long term customer of Unique Wear and also know both Toby and Barry (the owners). I have visited the store both when one of them has been there and when they have not been there. Being a small boutique store, they have a large amount of stock and helpful people who bring in lots of things to try on, put together outfits, and make you feel like a million bucks! I find their service exeptional and I am also on their mailing lists. They very often have great sales and more often have a rack outside with wonderful bargains. I like shopping at Unique Wear and fell good about supporting a local business. read more
