These were an old spare pair that my daughter used while in college. The glasses only needed a screw or a little welding done to reattach the temple to the hinge. The owner told his associate that if he could repair it , it would be ready on the following Wednesday( 5 days later). From this response, I could tell that he really did not want to repair the glasses. He could have told me that he couldn't fix it and I would have went somewhere else. Well, I returned to pick up my daughter's glasses on Wednesday, January 9, 2013. The glasses were not repaired. The owner told his associate to tell me that he was too busy. He stated that he could have it repaired first thing Thursday morning January 10th. I declined the offer. Reminded him that I had waited 5 days already. I told the owner that I would go elsewhere. I am very surprised at the lack of respectful customer service. I could have been one of his biggest future customers. Someone could have politely called and said that they would not be able to repair the glasses instead of having my daughter wait 5 days with the promise of an additional day. Was it because of I am African American? Do Gold N Gemstone only show courtesy and respect to certain customers.
