I signed up for their newsletter and that's how I discovered that they have a retail location in Richmond Hill that was going to be open to the public the same time that I was going to be in the GTA, and the hotel that I was staying at was less than 10 minutes away. I believe that they have 2 retail locations (this one in Richmond Hill and one in Toronto proper). These locations open up to the public for a few months at a time, unlike their travelling sales where they are only in town for a few days. Anyway, it's a warehouse, so it looks and feels like a warehouse. Prices are ok. Some items are fairly cheap, like stickers ($0.50) and books ($2.50-$10). Others are slightly lower than retail, but not bargain basement prices. They had costumes which were the same price as Party City after Halloween. It's pretty big, and is fun to poke around if you have kids in your life. You'll almost certainly find something for them. It's in an industrial park so there's lots of free parking in their parking lot.

It's really a great little claw arcade…read more I does t really look like much considering there is a giant claw arcade outside of the mall but Claw's Ocean is a really humble and simple arcade with excellent and friendly service. I would highly recommend going as the staff are really friendly and supportive. Everyone is a winner and everyone left with a smile. It wasn't over crowded either. Great stop for a date or a nice fun place to take kids. There were many different plushies to try and get. All of which were really cute! The one concern I had was the quality of the plushies as they appeared to be on the cheaper end but for the price it's worth it. It does bring into question the ethical manufacturing process as well but that is a different story I guess. Overall, I would come back as the attention the staff took to making guests feel welcome made the experience magical.

They have a lot of blind boxes, and even better with some that are opened so you can buy the ones you want. The selection of items in this store were huge and can be overwhelming. This is not my cup of tea (unless they sold a wider variety of pompurin stuff hehe). Overall pricing felt expensive but maybe I'm just missing something. For example, with the gacha machine, $10 for 10 tokens. Typically really small keychains and toys require 5 tokens. It's the thrill, yet doesn't give me a !! HAVE TO BUY !! thrill, but more like, why should I take that chance? Similarly, $20 for a blind box. I personally don't get it, but I'm sure it's exciting & fun for lots of other people. There's staff available & centralized at a counter with a larger display case to help out, but not actively going around the store.
