My partner and I attended an introductory lesson with Coach Taylor. Neither one of us has ever fired a live firearm, but we wanted to have the background knowledge to do so with confidence when we finally do visit an actual range. The training we received last week was excellent! From knowing how to hold the "gun" and clear it from the holster properly to knowing (more importantly) when and how to shoot at someone who is a threat, we were both amazed at what we experienced. In particular, I greatly appreciated Taylor's honest, straightforward 'lectures' about what could go wrong if you're not careful or too over-eager when wielding a firearm. My partner and I are seriously considering joining UDT during the summer when our work schedules lighten up. The various firearms training sessions and martial arts options they offer are definitely a plus. read more

My friend and I have been taking classes here since they opened last summer. We really enjoyed the instructors. Their expertise, professionalism and patience make learning new information about firearms, tactical training, scenarios, hands on and self defense not only helpful, but fun. Learn about firearm laws and safety protocol with other people of similar interests. My friend and I take the classes together, which makes it more fun. We find there are a lot of classes available. The new workshops and other additional classes that have been added, really add to the value of the monthly fee. My only wish is that we could trade in SOME of the self-defense and combat conditioning class credits for simulation class credits. I would even be fine with trading out 2 for 1 ratio or 3 for 1 simulation credit ratio. I find it a little challenging to move up to the next level with only three simulation classes per month. read more

When I first arrived here, I had nothing but a positive experience. Kyle helped me out with parking, and then he led me to a room where I could train with faux firearms. He was also accommodating to me when we had to use real gunfire to simulate a gun going off. I have autism, so loud noises irritate/scare me a lot. Kyle was also an amazing and straight-forward expert when it comes to concealed-carry weapons, legal procedures when it comes to firearms, and other essential information. He was also an amazing guy to talk to, and I shared with him stories about several incidents back in April of 2023 where random people were shot or even killed for making completely innocent mistakes. Kyle told me he hasn't heard of them, which I understand completely since not everyone watches the news, but he told me that those perps are most likely prosecuted for their crimes. I was unaware of places like this existed, I found them on Instagram, they had some sort of a 90 minute free trial and I went and learned a lot about pistol safety, which I knew, and of course, because of my knowledge, they ramped me up to the tactical defense course I believe is what they called it. I was in a scenario where I had an attacker in my home, and I had to subdue him with verbal and then physical altercation very interesting very entertaining and very adrenaline pumping I do not know places like this existed. I know places do defense training where you're doing you know Physical fighting with people and learning self defense that way, but I've never imagined there being a scenario where they could have you in front of a video screen with an attacker coming toward you and change the scenarios Depending on your verbiage and what your response was. I highly recommend this for beginners people that know nothing about guns know nothing about self-defense. I would 100% give this a shot. read more

My wife and I joined UDT...I am a new gun owner and wife is afraid to touch it. UDT is the real deal...all are so professional. Each person at this facility, the front office staff, instructors, general manager, all the way up to the owner, create a welcoming environment for all; beginners or experienced . I am a bit more familiar with firearms than my wife...it was great to see how every person was able to be really technical with me and then back to beginner level explanation with her. My wife likes the women's self defense classes and I can't get enough of the simulator. I can't wait to get to the more advanced levels. Clean facility, great staff, even the members are all very nice. Their monthly class offerings are plenty...just with my schedule allowed me more time to take advantage of all the offerings. The staff here is very welcoming, from the moment you walk in the door, you're greeted by a smiling face. Michelle has been excellent at explaining the app to schedule classes and requirements for our teams. So far myself and two of my family members have made the decision to join and learn about home invasions, self defense, and tactical training. Last year I've taken Women self defense classes (from Daniel) close quarter combat, Jiu Jitsu class (Amanda), USCCA home protection planning and Legal Use of Force (Mike) & Firearm familiarization.
