Dr. Tseng and staff are truly the best. They take such excellent care of me and I oddly look forward to my dental appointments instead of dreading them because a) the staff and Dr. Tseng are so friendly b) the office is flexible and have Saturday appointments c) I receive reminder texts of my appointment in advance Technology: Like I mentioned, they send text reminders for appointments which is super convenient. On top of that, they have a 3D digital scanner to scan my teeth for Invisalign and now my retainer (so not messy). Safety: I feel safe coming here despite the pandemic because the office takes all the safety precautions for patient and doctor safety. It's a very hygienic place. Parking: There are ample parking spots right outside the office so very convenient. Overall it's easy to make an appointment, get in and out, and have your teeth really taken care of by Dr. Tseng and his staff. read more

I just had my first visit with Dr. Tseng today after a long hiatus due to the pandemic. When I walked into the office, I was greeted by his assistant Dora. I always hate having x-rays taken due to my gag reflex. Ugh. However, I know I needed it because it has been 3 years since my last check-up. I told Dora about my gag reflex and she thanked me for giving her heads up. To my astonishment, I did't gag this time. Yeah!!! I was so surprised. Dora did my whole x-rays very efficiently and no redos. Then Dr. Tseng came in for my exam and cleaning. He was very easy going and skillful. The cleaning went very smoothly. I told him I had chipped my lower front tooth and that I would like to get it fixed. He said "Of course." He said I would not need any anesthesia for this procedure. I was so relieved. He placed a square rubber device in my back tooth so that my jaw doesn't get tired. He then proceeded to drill a little bit and I only felt vibration without any pain. After about 20 minutes, I was done. I am so grateful that I had the cleaning and filling done at the same visit. Thank you Dr. Tseng and Dora for staying past your lunch break to take care of me. I owe you guys a free lunch next time. read more

Dr. Tseng's Office has refused to provide me all dental records and an xray taken of my daughter on August 21, 2021. I phoned (speaking to Alexa) and emailed requesting the records. I sent certified letters for a litigation hold and request of the records since the xray is evidence in a multi million, possibly billion dollar lawsuit against Police Officers. Family Code 3025 states specifically that parents are entitled to all dental records, which begs the question, why is Dr. Tseng witholding critical evidence in a criminal matter of a multi million dollar lawsuit? I would not recommend anyone trust or do business with this dentist since he is refusing to give me dental records that I am lawfully entitled to have. read more

It's tough to write a review for Dr. Tseng. The office is pretty nice; it has alot of modern equipment and the staff is pretty friendly. And Dr. Tseng is more than happy to work on your fillings. In fact, he LOVES to do fillings so much so it might not be the best thing for you. This is probably my primary complaint: I don't know what they teach at dental schools these days, but I'm sure they offer a course or two on up-selling to patients and insurance gouging. Although Dr. Tseng is nice and friendly, I never really got the sense he had my best well-being in mind. The other issue I had was he was never really able to diagnose some discomfort I had to one of my teeth. I went back to see him 3-4 times over a period of 6-7 months and he was never able to figure out what's going on. After a few months it got so bad I decided to see another dentist. After about 5-10 minutes the new dentist was able to figure out that the nerve in that tooth was dying. Mind you, the new dentist is older with alot more experience. And he didn't have all the modern equipment but he had the right tools and experience to identify the problem. This is what I think is lacking with Dr. Tseng. At the end of the day, the root canal and crown cost close to $2k. I don't know if this could have been avoided had Dr. Tseng been able to diagnose the problem earlier or some other treatment could have been taken. My advice is if you have any doubt, better to keep looking and get recommendations from people you trust. read more

She destroyed two of my teeth! I had a tooth ache, went there because my insurance had them on the list of preferred dentist! IT's obvious because they are the cheapest! She ended up taking out the old filling just because they said that the newer filings hold up better BULL %$$#! Now I cant even chem from the right side of my mouth, my teeth are now sensitive to cold! Horrible horrible job! SO bad I get nightmares of my teeth coming out!! I'm reposting this because Yelp's stupid content filter makes my original review disappear... nice job yelp. UPDATE: 2 years later, I'm still going to United Dental Group (even though I'm not commuting past Millbrae every day anymore, it's still convenient from the city!). I've got most of my old fillings replaced. My night guard is due in very soon to put an end to decades of grinding and I'm still flossing like the son of a dentist. I consider my dentist visits one of the best things I can do for me ;-) *** Can you imagine being excited to go to the dentist? -- and I'm no masochist either. Dr Anna Yoon and Dr Michael Tseng have an amazing way of making you feel comfortable in the dentists chair. They don't rush you. They don't leave you with a parade of nameless dental assistants. They make their appointments and they make sure to give you the proper of amount of attention and advice. The office feels genuinely friendly. The staff knows your name. All I can say is, if my previous dentists had been so awesome, I'd have had far less cavities. Dr Tseng took the time to really help me improve my flossing (I know it sounds silly). Dr. Yoon always makes me aware of her treatment strategy and gives me options. I never feel like they're pressuring me to do anything than what's necessary and they're able to be really flexible with the schedules. The various members of the staff from the front desk, to the assistants to the hygienist are all so great, it just takes the anxiety out of the visit entirely. It's also in a great location - walkable from Millbrae Bart/Caltrain with convenient parking -- right off 101. So, even if you're looking for a dentist and you're just in San Francisco for a little while or you work for the airlines /SFO or you're a long time resident of the peninsula or even in the city (like me), you should stop by and see Dr. Tseng and Dr. Yoon. You won't have a nicer dentist visit anywhere. read more

My husband and I used to go to this office because it is conveniently located off El Camino on the Burlingame/Millbrae border. They accept most major dental insurances and Dr Tseng is extremely nice and really takes his time to make sure you are completely satisfied. However, their prices are SO high that even after a basic cleaning that my dental insurance typically covers, I will still get a bill for the remainder. This office loves to use the newest tools and products and will charge you accordingly. Be aware if they offer you a service that sounds expensive, it most definitely will be. read more

I have been a dental patient of Dr Tseng's for several years. I believe the highest compliment to pay a dentist is to say he or she has hands like butterflies; Dr Tseng has hands like butterflies. Over the course of the last several years he has performed fairly extensive work on my teeth and not once did I feel pain after novocaine wore off. Procedures are efficient and clearly explained. The office is clean, compact and very comfortable and nicely appointed in simple lines. Not only that, Dr Tseng is an utterly delightful human being. His staff is charming, very helpful, and would call insurance and always provide quotes, with zero fuss. There is not a better dentist in the Bay Area. Truly!!! This is the first time visiting this office. The service I received was excellent. Their office is clean and well maintained. They booked me with an appointment on Saturday which is really convenient for me, and there are plenty of free parking. The people at the front desk registration is friendly and polite. Robin, the Registered Dental Hygienist did the check up , x-ray, and cleaning on me. She is very kind, professional, and gave knowledgeable recommendations. I first went to Dr. Tseng in 2010 after cracking off the bottom half of my front tooth in a skiing accident (lesson: don't try to eat your ski). United Dental made special accommodations the next morning to get me in early, actually opening before normal hours. Dr. Tseng offered a number of repair options. I ultimately went for the less invasive option of having it built up with bonding material instead of veneer because there was no nerve damage. The whole procedure took only 30 minutes and Dr. Tseng perfectly matched both the color and shape of the tooth. Not even my wife can tell that it's bonded. Both my wife and I started going to United Dental for our general cleaning and some other work (fillings, etc)=.) after this experience and have been nothing but pleased. They send appointment reminders via email and text and the staff is very friendly. The office is clean and all the equipment is digital (x-rays, etc). After three years of going to them, I can only say that they are an excellent dental group! read more

In the world of dentist yelp reviews, the webpage is streaked with only the most extreme. A first pass on yelp will only lead to dentists in the area with horrid reviews (1.5 star averages) and those with wonderful reviews (4.5 star averages), which for the latter, largely stems from low sample size. Since good reviews, or reviews of any kind in general, are sorely lacking, I thought I should review my dentist and contribute to this disregarded world of dentist yelp reviews (as YOU and YOU should too!). Dr. Tseng is a great dentist. I originally went to him in my high school and earlier college years where he was honest, fair, and kind in talking about my teeth. As of late Dr. Tseng is seemingly always on vacation (hmmmmm but whatever) so I've had a great chance to meet with Dr. Nguyen. She's super cute and young and is a great, gentle, and sweet dentist. She's helped me remove one small cavity and reviewed my teeth each time I had a teeth cleaning. I also love the rest of the staff here who are wonderful, always answering/returning my calls, confirming appointments, never making me wait long for my turn in line, sorting out insurance troubles, and more! I hope to go to them as long as I keep delta dental insurance and have referred my entire family and several friends too. Plus they're so cute and send email/text reminders so props UD for being so up to date with technology! Overall, a highly recommended dentist office for those who are like me with few teeth troubles and mostly go to the dentist for a semi-annual cleaning and reside in the Millbrae/Burlingame/San Mateo/San Bruno area! I didn't find them through yelp I found them through 1 800 dentist lol and just called them up. So apart from this review, you should really just call them to find out if they are a good match for you and your insurance. I've been going to see Docters Anna Yoon and Michael Tseng for about 6 years. Both are great people and excellent dentists. Dr. Yoon in particular has a very sensitive touch and I rarely feel any pain at all when I go to see her. I have used United Dental Group for regular check ups, cleanings, whitening, fillings, and cosmetic repair work with composite materials. About 4 years ago I went to Dr. Yoon to have my mercury fillings replaced with safer composite fillings (8 total). I'm so glad I did. I highly recommend United Dental Group. read more

My entire family comes here and we are all so happy with the Doctors and the staff . I have two small kids 7 and 10 years old and they both are so comfortable at this office. I had zoom whitening done last year and I was so pleased with my teeth I got so many compliments on my smile . I had not gone to the dentists since I had my braces off as a teenager . I made my appointment and i was nervous because face it the dentist can be a scary thing . The staff was great and I was impressed at how painless the digital x-rays were. It was great I got to see my x-rays right away no waiting . Dr.Tseng was great he explained all my treatment. I needed a root canal and a partial crown so Dr. Yoon did my root canal another great doctor here. She was kind and considerate asking me if i was okay the whole time. My root canal came out great and a few days later Dr. Tseng did a one visit partial crown for me which was super cool!!!!! This computer scans your tooth and actually designs your crown while your in the chair then a machine in the office makes it so your done the same day, no second visit . I had a great experience here and no problems with any of the work done to my teeth . I love my cleaning here too, they do a great job and they never leave you, to see another patient while you are in the chair .They don't double book so your appointment is on time . I can't say enough about this office I love the Doctors and the Staff!!!!!! read more

Michael Tseng, DDS provided a crown, [Zirconia 3M] to me in September. He was highly skilled, realistic and very effective. He thought a root canal might help but respected my choices. I opted instead for a few days of sensitivity with pain control. Without any further adjustments for months now this crown has been flawless.
