I want to give a honest and very thorough yelp review, For one my intuition was screaming loud and clear to go to this dentist. And to bloom dental after I already went to two appointments with other dentist. I almost that morning canceled the appointment honestly That would have been a HUGE mistake on my end. The appointment was nothing but perfect when I went. I originally called in to see about getting bridges after consulting with one other dentist and a surgeon about getting 4 teeth extracted. When I first called, I wasn't sure but the receptionist almost encouraged me not to come in and let me know to make an appointment after my teeth got removed. I challenged and let the lady know that I wanted to have everything prepared in advanced she said she understood and she let me make an appointment and I am so grateful that she let me go to the appointment. that morning I almost canceled , I didn't know why , but my intuition was screaming loud and clear to go to bloom dental and I had a super crystal clear good feeling I didn't know why so I went, and I will say the staff and receptionist were welcoming, informative , the Dr's assistant who she mentioned specifically they been working in the office for 17 years has made me feel extremely comfortable she did the x Ray exam and was done in a breeze, they seem to have advance technology where other dentist make it sometimes painful when doing xrays, and made the process extremely comfortable what I am so grateful for was when after my x rays the Dr explained to me that I needed to have 5 teeth removed instead of four and the severity that was going on with my overall oral health. Dr Temir, if you are reading I am extremely grateful for you, no other dentist took the tome to explain what all my problems were and come up with a GAME PLAN. Dr. Parker Smith was absolutely fantastic. He has excellent bedside manners and made me feel comfortable from the moment I walked in. He was very thorough in explaining the procedure and took the time to answer all of my questions. I have been a long time patient at bloom dental. They have always been super popular so I would have to book future appointments after my cleanings (6 months in advance!). They recently had to impose an administrative fee of $185 to keep their standard of care up (unfortunate, but I understand given the insurance situation that this country is in). I have had cleanings done by Tina and Colette and they are both gentle and thorough. They let me know when something might hurt and proceed cautiously in those areas. Towards the end of my cleanings, a doctor pops in and examines my mouth to make sure everything is okay. Their philosophy is to be minimally invasive while still being proactive. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Tamir at Bloom Dental. After a terrible experience with my previous dentist that resulted in a last-minute root canal and visits to three different endodontists, I was extremely stressed and anxious about continuing dental care. When I called Bloom Dental, they squeezed me in immediately, even though it was right around the Christmas holidays. From the very first visit, Dr. Tamir treated me with genuine care and professionalism. He took the time to clearly explain everything, answered all of my questions thoroughly, and never made me feel rushed or dismissed. Dr. Tamir coordinated directly with the endodontist he referred me to, and once he received the green light, he expedited my permanent crown so it could be placed before Christmas. I had a great experience at Bloom Dental. The receptionist was super friendly, whether it was over the phone or in-person at the check-in counter. I originally scheduled a last-minute appointment for the same day at 4pm as I was experiencing a lot of pain but then Bella called me back (as well as texted me) to let me know that there was a cancellation and that there was a 2:30pm opening so I was able to book that earlier time. I showed up 10 minutes earlier as I am a new patient and wanted to make sure things went smoothly. I only waited about 2-3 minutes before the assistant came to get me. (Unfortunately, I didn't catch her name). She greeted me and noticed that my left cheek was swollen and helped get me set up with x-rays right away. She was very warm and caring throughout the entire process. My dentist, Dr. Oganesian was very gentle, patient and kind. I had quite a few questions during my visit and he helped answer and explain everything thoroughly. This was my first time at this dental office and I felt very well taken care of the entire time I was there. I typically get very anxious at dentist appointments but everyone there made me feel welcome and comfortable (or as comfortable as I could've been given my condition). My boyfriend did a lot of research on dental offices in the area prior to choosing Bloom Dental for me as I needed urgent dental care and the soonest appointment I could find without compromising the quality of dental work. We just moved to the area and our previous dentist recommended Bloom. Easy to make and change my appointment. Parking is meh. Office is clean. Liv took a bunch of X-rays, pics, and 3d images - she's very sweet and she's been with Dr Tamir for a long time. I was treated by Dr Parker who is a younger dentist. I'm a professional patient dozens of surgeries, long hospital stays and on a bunch of meds. I had to get part of tooth shaved down due to a crooked bite. Dr Parker was very gentle I never felt a thing ( no Novocaine). As some with my experience I can and will be critical to any clinician who's not being mindful - TBH I was taken aback how gentle Dr Parker was yet he did a great job with the shaving. And with the whole crooked bite and some other issues I was prepared to hear and possibly pay for additional treatment. He advised against all that just keep doing what I'm doing and keep coming in for check ups. Yeah you read that right. They could have signed me for something extra but didn't. I'm still going to Bloom Dental because they are the BEST. Yesterday I got my first whitening and fixed a few fillings (done by a previous dentist). My appointments were super fast and I walked out with amazing results!! Idk how Dr Tamir does it but my new fillings match so well it feels like I have new teeth. I've always hated the dentist. I hated everything about the scalers digging around, the polishing taste, and the poor "bedside" manners of the hygienists or dentists. Nothing ever felt like I was getting personal care and nothing was ever really explained in detail to me. It often left me putting off dental appointments as I could never really find a dentist that I hated going to. I tried Bloom after moving near San Mateo and wished I had found them and started with them earlier. They are extremely professional. The multiple hygienists I've seen and the dentist have been extremely communicative. Everything is explained in depth from causes to possible outcomes to what they are doing at that moment. They are also very courteous. I have no hesitation about heading into this office. They recently moved to yearly fee based system to account for the reduced payments they get from insurance. I understand this and don't see this as a big deal. If you want top tier service, it might cost a little less than a Netflix subscription a year. read more

Since my arrival to the US almost 8 years ago I haven't visited a dentist, not only did this lead to many dental issues such as cavities, impacted wisdom teeth nearly causing significant bone loss and a concrete-like plaque build up on the bottom teeth around the gums due to my permanent retainer making it difficult to floss and brush areas properly... but it also lead to further hesitation in finding a good dentist and a shame for the condition I left my teeth in from poor oral hygiene. Everything has been addressed and FIXED once I showed up to Bloom Dental Group, not only am I thankful and blessed to have found Dr. Lior Tamir but also filled with gratitude for the professionalism from his staff. My first visit sometime in August 2022 included x-rays and a detailed walkthrough of a treatment plan to be followed to tackle all my dental issues at hand. I was given a referral to pull all my wisdom teeth, then proceeded back to continue the next steps involving 2 Onlays for big cavities (Dr Lior suggested a more conservative approach rather than a root canal/crown since the damaged teeth wasn't as bad as he thought) and further fillings on other teeth along with root planning/scaling - totaling 4 visits in which I completed and restored the health of my teeth and gums. His staff Ila, Taylor, dental hygienist Lev & the rest at the reception have been nothing but accommodating and professional; quick to answer any and all questions, send appointment reminders and explain the processes taking place during/after treatment phases. I am beyond grateful and looking forward to my checkup/cleaning visits every 4 or 6 months to keep track and maintain the health of my teeth and gums permanently. 5 stars is an understatement, Dr Tamir is an honest and experienced dentist; highly recommended. read more

I have been coming to this practice for 2 years now and I have to say I've always had such pleasant experiences. I first booked online as a new client which was easy to navigate. After being a client, booking follow up appointments with the front desk girl, Bella (short brunette hair and pink lipstick) is even more convenient and she's great. I especially like the dental assistant/hygienist and the dentist because they're kind, communicative, and accommodating. I've recently gone in for a cleaning, a custom mouth guard, and a partial crown within a couple of months. The dentist makes sure to explain the procedure and answer any questions I may have. I feel comfortable and confident being under the care all of the dentists at Bloom dental and reaching out in any case. I look forward to my 6 month cleaning! 10/10 would recommend. Don't go here if you want to get treated right!! The dentist actually CUT MY GUM while removing some glue from my orthodontic treatment. It seemed like such a basic job, yet she couldn't manage it correctly. Also, during the cleaning, they missed the chewing surfaces of my teeth. When I asked them to clean it, the dentist initially claimed it couldn't be done--without even trying. After I insisted, she finally gave it a try and was actually able to remove the stains. My dentist is better than yours! By a landslide! I came here from a referral of my cousin and his wife. Not only is my dentist friendly, cool to talk to, and comforting, he is professional and talks to you about your own game plan before prioritizing things. He verbalizes/explains what he is doing every step of the way. He makes sure that you are comfortable before moving forward (especially those that may have a phobia of dentists. Another amazing process is how quickly I got my crown. Back in the day, you would wait 2 weeks for a crown to be produced, but they made my new tooth in-house with the newest high technology and mounted it in less than 45 minutes! I enjoy the fact that I can text their number and promptly get responses. When you schedule your next appointment at the end of your visit, they give you a heads up if your insurance covers or does not cover things and the amount it may possibly be. I love that because I am one that needs to prepare for any costs that aren't part of my monthly norm. I had a root canal and needed a good crown, so I called this dental group and was kindly granted an appointment within a few days with Dr Tamil. They have exceptional technology, exceptional decor with orchids galore. They also have an unusually complex targeted branding and marketing practice for dentistry. I have to sign my life off to get the crown. After my life was rescinded, I was gently guided to a narrow seat. I was very surprised because it is like that of an small airplane. The "flight attendant" was very cute with genuinely good looking hair. However, it was the only time that I ever gag from her failure to remove things with the suction tube during the entire procedure. I had noticed that Dr Tamil's anesthetic skill is much below my other experience. First, his needles really stings. Second of all, I was in pain when they first try the crown on. And the pain was around even after he re-injected me. What really surprise me is the size of custom 3D-printed crown. It was much smaller than my other teeth. Way smaller that he left a gap between that and my wisdom tooth. He also suggested that I remove that wisdom tooth even though it is fine. I recently realize that I might need to someday if that gap he left never fills. I still have pain in my gum even after two months. Weirdly, that tooth have a squeaky sound when used, maybe he should perfect this for other patients. I hope nobody have to fight for their lives after me. I have noticed that the honest small star reviews magically disappear from here. So I can now find out what highly honorable Magic will be able to make this disappear. read more

Terrible customer service at the front desk. No people skills. I also see the owner not taking feedback, but making excuses and ranting on everyone who gives them a low star count. He states phrases such as "cleaning your teeth" as in something he's doing as a "favor" . He needs to remember that by cleaning teeth, he is getting paid. I'm surprised people go there and pay extra charges. My insurance covers my cleaning and if there would be a co-pay, all they have to do is pre-approve the work and inform before you go to the appointment. My daughter had a dental cleaning appointment with Alex today. Alex was very professional and I appreciate her taking the time to listen to my concerns. When my daughter finished her cleaning appointment, Alex came up to me and sat down next to me to be more personable to go over her recommendations. She brought me in the treatment room to go over my daughter's panoramic x-ray and periodontal charting, which I appreciated. She walked us to the front desk and asked us to schedule in six months. Their front desk receptionist, Ilanit on the other hand might require more training. Upon arrival, she didn't greet, smile or make eye contact, which is very rude and unprofessional in my opinion. She was not welcoming or friendly. After Alex walked us to the front desk, Ilanit was quick to say we were all set and was sending us away but I had questions. She was still not making any eye contact. We've also been emailing back and forth for awhile and any other person would automatically introduce themselves to a patient they have not met in person. I had to ask her for her name and introduced myself to her. Still - no eye contact. Again, I found her interaction very rude and extremely unprofessional. I'm no longer comfortable referring other patients nor do I recommend coming to this office. A receptionist is the face of the practice. They either make or break your business. It's all about the whole experience from start to finish. -update- I received a text and was asked about my experience and to leave a review on Yelp. So I left an honest review about my experience yesterday. However, the owner of the practice reached out to me via-email and canceled my other daughter's upcoming appointment. The review was based on yesterday's visit. I did mention, their Hygienist, Alex did a wonderful job and the bad review was based on my experience with the front desk. I am grateful that the owner reached out to me directly to acknowledge my review. However, I am confused why he canceled my other daughter's appointment? Basically kicked us out of his practice because of an honest review. This is very unfortunate and unethical on his part. I am not happy. Why would he retaliate against my honest review? Dropping one star due to the continued challenges of booking an appointment for existing patients. This place prioritizes new patients so much more. There is a 5-month (!) wait for an appointment now. When I expressed disbelief, their reply was - that's all we have. It's almost like "take it or leave it". The hygienist cleaning was great. But for existing patients, it is very very difficult to get cleaning appointments. The overt priority for getting new business just feels distasteful. They have slots available for new patients, but it is just impossible to get slots for existing patients, unless you're willing to wait months. I don't understand why they'd spend so much effort to get new patients, then make it so hard for existing patients to get appointments. read more

Both me and my partner get our dental care here. We also both got Invisalign here too. Dr. Tamir is always welcoming, professional, and patient. I've been afraid to get my wisdom teeth pulled for years, I finally went through with it after consulting with Dr. Tamir, and planned for my surgery following with Invisalign. Dr. Simel was the oral surgeon that performed the extraction, he did an amazing job! My recovery was quick and easy, no more than the normal soreness and pain that was expected, and no swelling at all! I am now complete with my Invisalign treatment and happy with my results. My partner also just completed his Invisalign as well and is also happy with the process and results. All of the staff there are also so nice and wonderful! Booking appointments is easy, and the staff is very quick to respond via email or phone. Parking is on the street but usually there's plenty of parking during regular business hours.
