Renting from RRE has been one of the worst experiences I've ever had as a tenant…read more When I moved in, the property had no working smoke detectors -- a basic safety requirement. I was told they'd be installed right away, but after four months of delays and broken promises, I contacted the Lincoln City Inspectors, who confirmed the detectors had been missing for over five years. The city issued a citation, and shortly after that, RRE retaliated by cancelling all existing service requests and has ignored every repair request I've submitted since December 23, 2024. The home has serious safety and health issues, including: * Rodent infestation due to missing vent screens (confirmed by the Lincoln Health Department) * Toxic air and poor ventilation, triggering regular asthma attacks * HVAC failure -- the ductwork doesn't deliver air to the first floor, making it unlivable year-round * Unpaid trash service, even though it's part of my rent -- I was contacted directly by the trash company due to months of non-payment * Exterior damage, including loose siding hanging over the garage To make matters worse, a neighbor -- who attends the same church as the owner, Dana -- informed me just this week that Dana is intentionally refusing to make repairs and is bragging that she will continue to collect rent from me for the remainder of my lease as punishment for reporting the safety violations to the city. This is not just poor property management -- it's retaliatory, negligent, and unethical behavior. RRE demands full rent on time each month but fails to uphold basic responsibilities under Nebraska tenant law. If you're looking to rent in Lincoln, do yourself a favor and avoid RRE. There are plenty of other property management companies that treat tenants with respect and follow the law -- this is not one of them. The positive reviews on here are from the friends and family of the owners of RRE.

Always requested that their checks be made in their personal names so they could avoid extra taxes and fees if the checks had been made out to their business. I lived there for 2 years and moved out at the end of April. Hadn't heard anything for almost a month about my deposit (no call, letter, etc). I called and they informed me that a pipe that had burst during the winter while I was living there had caused damage to the property and I wouldn't be receiving anything. I had informed him of the burst pipe immediately when it had occurred and he came over to fix it, helped clean up, and said it would be fine cause it was due to normal everyday use of the duplex. After moving out he blamed the cause on me and said it was negligence and not just the fact that it was cold. I would definitely stay away and find somewhere else to live. These people are not worth the headache, lying, and frustration that comes with living on their property.

I lived in their duplex in 2012 and the entire experience was awful. They are rude and judgmental. My roommate had a daughter out of wedlock and they never failed to give their religious opinions on the matter. They also entered our property without notice and attempted to implement rules like "no alcohol in the house" and "you can't store things in your garage other than a car". They always wanted cash for rent or a personal check. They also tried to tell me I wasn't allowed to have my boyfriend over. They live just down the street from the rental property and would just sit at the window and watch. Terrible experience do not rent from them!!!!!!!!!

If I could do everything over I would. This company is the definition of wolf in sheep's clothing!…read moreHe presented very well told us he would do the advertising and take care of set up. A week before the auction he wants to cancel after we did all the advertising and spent the time and money to get flyers up. Day of the auction he went around and talked bad about the family and how he didn't want to be here. FYI we had to set everything up. He didn't bring any help with him and what help he brought got first picks at auction items. When they would bid on something that was the end of it. He made sure his people got what they wanted. Started everything at $1 and was giving things away! If all that wasn't bad enough we agree on a percentage before the sale. When we get the check he took it upon himself to double that percentage. We have tried to call and work this out ask why he thought he deserved more then we agreed on, he won't take our calls and will not call us back. Save yourself and your family the trouble find a different company. A better company!!!

Horrible customer service and incredibly unprofessional…read more My experience with Tri-Win. I call on a friday to enquire about an apartment and am brusquely told "We're moving, our computers are down, I don't have any information on the apartment. Call back monday." Fine, I think, I know the construction they're talking about, and I probably just got a disgruntled worker who's had a long day (it turns out he was the manager, Josh Neil). I end up calling tuesday, I didn't get a chance to call on monday, and set up a viewing for the apartment for 4pm on thursday. I show up at 3:50 to take a look around. I park my car directly in front of the house. Directly, as in, the "For Rent" sign is right out my window. Generally the person who's showing the house is there early, but no such luck this time. I walk around the building a bit; 4:05 rolls around and still no one is there. I call Tri-win, at this point it's edging towards 4:10 and get the manager again (Josh Neil is the name he eventually gave me). He tells me that "the girl just left a minute ago, she should be there in a few minutes". No apologies or anything even close. So I wait. I probably should have just left right then but the sqr/foot to rent ratio was pretty good. 4:30 rolls around. I call Tri-Win again. Where is the girl? I ask. The lady who answers the phone says she doesn't know. Great. She tells me that the girl is scheduled for another apartment showing at 4:30. Wonderful. She asks me if I can "hang around" till 5. I've already taken an hour off work to see this apartment, by the way. Of course I say absolutely not. The lady I spoke with said she would call the girl (I really should have gotten these peoples names) and see what was up. I was to call back in a few minutes to see what happened. So I wait about 5 mins and call back. Ring. Ring. Ring. Ring. Voicemail. (This is still well before 5pm, when they close) I call again. Ring ring ring ring, voicemail. I keep call intermittently until 5. No one ever answers. I drive to their offices. Turns out their offices have been temporarily relocated b/c of construction. By now it's pretty much 5, not enough time for me to get to their relocated offices. Probably for the best. I call the next day. No way am I renting anything from these people at this point. Can you imagine trying to deal with them if something went wrong with your rental? A nightmare, I'm sure. I've cooled off a bit at this point though. Stuff happens, something went wrong, whatever. I'm just calling to voice my complaint, get an explanation and maybe an apology (which you would think would be the first thing out of their mouths. It wasn't, I assure you). I speak with another bored, uninterested sounding employee, asking to be transfered to the manager. She transfers me. I relate everything I've written here. The manager, Josh Neil, the guy who said "the girl just left a minute ago, she should be there in a few minutes" nearly 10 mins AFTER she was supposed to be there, is not cordial. He says she was there, parked in the car. He flat out tells me I'm lying. He tells me the agent was in her car, parked waiting for me. (I'm not sure how well that meshes with you earlier statement from the day before, Josh, when you told me she was on her way 10mins after the appointment was scheduled). He says he'll believe his agent over me, regardless. I explain, very carefully, that I was parked DIRECTLY in front of the house in question. RIGHT at the steps that lead up to the front door. ALL of my windows where down. The For-Rent sign, as I've said, is right in front of my face. I couldn't be any more conspicuously parked without being on the lawn. I was walking around the house itself until 5 to 10 minutes after the showing was supposed to start. What's Mr. Neil's response? "What do you want me to do about it?" What a piece of work. I say, "Maybe an apology." "I'm not gonna apologize for something involving one of my agents" (Something like that, whatever the wording was, he stated his refusal to apologize, in no uncertain terms.) This is the manager of Tri-Win. Not some entry level employee. The manager. I tell him that I'm starting to get more then a little upset. He quickly backs off and gives a lame half-assed pseudo-apology "for the situation". Are you kidding me? At this point I realize that these people are just wasting more of my time, and hang up. If you are thinking of renting from Tri-Win I would STRONGLY DISCOURAGE you. If their service is so absolutely abhorrent before they get you to sign a lease, imagine what it degrades to after you are locked in for a year. Don't reward these jokesters with your money. I have no doubt you will regret it.
