reps have always very helpful .... have never had a problem. Nice bank entry, easy to do business with.

I was a loyal customer doing banking with them for 9 years +. They decided to all of the sudden disregard the agreements we had set in place for my checking account, and savings account. No one can charge my accounts if the funds are not there ! First I was overdrafted 190 and I was able to get them to make it right I had to pay the additional 40 or so remaining (which I did immediately take care of). Then after that didn't have any issues for a whole MONTH. It went way far downhill in the worst way, and they ended up closing BOTH checking accounts. All because some website (I did not authorize) was able to overdraft 70 or so dollars from ONE of the checking accounts!!!!!!??!?!!?!?!? So I went from one checking account being negative 70, to all three accounts including savings being the SAME amount as the single account overdrafted 70 dollars. Then was not notified by phone or anything just mail that came AFTER MY accounts were closed that they were going to close my accounts. long story short I was only left with my savings account and no checkings account so no debit card usage as of now, and im still negative that same 70 dollars that I will not be paying for obvious reasons. read more

I am very unhappy with the Escrow department of United Heritage. I refinanced in 2019. My original loan was in my trust and United Heritage would not refinance in the trust but said they would have it completed once our load closed. It not only took 6 months to close but it was not put into our Trust cost me $1,500 dollars in Real Estate taxes and a great deal of headache. I finally had to to directly to the title company to get my house in the name of the Trust. I will continue to do my saving account with them but I would never refinance with them. The tellers are very good with good customer service skills. read more

I was treated very poorly today by the phone rep that I spoke with and then by the woman at the Kyle branch. IHCU charged me 9 overdraft fees that I did not incur. The woman I spoke with was kind enough and submitted a request to have the overdrafts refunded. The issue I had with her was that she said she would call me and let me know IF they would remove/refund the overdrafts. Why IF? I didn't overdraft any of these charges. She never did call me back. The woman at the bank refused to even look past what the computer showed. If she did the math (which I did do), she would see that it was a bank error. She refused to even check. In the end, I got the 9 overdraft fees refunded. I feel the UHCU owes me an apology for their error and the way I was treated. read more

Trying to pay off a loan to this branch. First off there is nothing online that says you have to make an appointment just to walk in the doors when other financial institutions lobby's are open to the public. The clerks that work the alleged drive through seem to be the most incompetent and slowest workers I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. I urge anyone to seek another bank or credit union before dealing with this entire company. read more

My wife and I just moved to KYLE and we made a great decision yesterday by joining the UHCU. We were treated with much dignity and respect by Desiree and the rest of the staff. We were shown all the services and our questions were answered with much knowledge and experience. We were able to get our cards right away, and even were guided on how to set our online account. Being that Velocity was already a shared branch, it felt like home to us only better. The welcome we received said a lot and we hope to continue a wonderful relationship. Thanks for your hospitality! We've been doing our banking here since moving back to the Austin area in 2013. Overall we use this branch the most and have had pretty consistently quick and friendly service here and never had any issues. I do have a few issues with the website as more than any other website I use, I get login errors more frequently and some general issues with the format and capabilities by which I can view my accounts and transactions, but nothing major. I also wish I could make deposits via ATM machines, but overall I am still very pleased with UHCU; especially compared with my experience at big banks in the past. read more

I HATE banks....but I LOVE UHCU.... Loans by PHONE!!!!!! ROCKS AWESOME SAUCE, called while traveling in Kansas, asked for 10K got my money THAT DAY!!!! e-signed, alright, cmon JESUS!!!! Finally a BANK that is a BANK..... PLUS YOU CAN ACTUALLY TALK TO A BANKER....What?????????????????????????????? YES!!!!!!! AND....they have popcorn on Fridays....(I will not devulge how many bags I get when I go in ...buuuuuuuut, I go in around LUNCH TIME....YEAAASSSSSS!!! The manager at this location is useless. I filled out my slip for a shared branch transfer properly and the teller processed it incorrectly and needed to reverse it to correct it, which requires a managers assistance. The manager, who should be taking care of this error, is messing with the change machine all the while as if she is the only person in the building capable of taking care of that machine, neglecting to do her managerial duties. Due to her negligence and inability to do her job as a manager it took over an hour to complete a shared branching transfer. I find this to be absurd and unacceptable. Kyle branch needs a new manager, this location if far too busy for such inadequacies, especially since she has been incapably managing this location for years! read more

I am originally from Austin and use the UFCU there as my bank. I now live in San Marcos for school, so it's nice to have this shared branch bank in Kyle that lets me deposit checks here when I need to without having to go all the way to Austin ! Everyone here has been friendly every time I go too! read more

ONLY reason why I'm giving this bank more than the bare minimum one star is because the tellers are really sweet. Although the positives end there. I have a shared branch. So this isn't even my bank. I just use it for deposits into my UFCU acct. There is usually ALWAYS a line. N it can literally take 20-30 minutes just to get to the front of that line! Ridiculous! N the problem is probably bc it's rare that there is more than one inside teller working at a time. It's common to see someone getting trained which simply means that they can't keep employees. There's most times more than one employee just up at the front desk chit chatting, which are probably loan officers and the welcome agent. Which I could care less about them chatting. It's just frustrating to walk into this branch sometimes a couple times a week to basically expect to wait to place a deposit in the bank. It's not that the tellers are slow. There just isn't enough working! No one wants to do business with someone who doesn't respect their time or provide convenience. read more

The staff is friendly but there is an awful policy that has a terrible impact. I set up my joint tax return to go to my wife's account at UHCU. Because my name is on the return(along with my wife's) and my name is not on the account, UHCU rejected the funds. Now, we are forced to wait for the rejection to get back to the IRS and wait for a paper check now. Total inconvenience and staff have responded with no understanding, just simply, "there's no way around that". read more
