I have been training here for 5 years. I'm 72 and my cardiologist asked me recently what I was doing because I was an anomaly "for a woman of my age". My health is excellent (other than the usual hip and knee replacements! haha). I have great focus, stamina, agility, balance and core strength. I study Tai Chi and they have designed a curriculum with a path to a black belt which encourages you to stretch yourself beyond what you may believe is possible. I highly recommend this studio. Tai chi is late mornings or you can study Kung Fu in the evenings. My husband and I signed up my stepdaughter for two nights during the week. We have a court agreement with the biological mother on set days. They allowed the mom to go down and proceed to attend the class with her daughter. They didn't want to hear me out on why she isn't allowed to be there and that the mom went against our approval. I had to back out of our contract because I didn't want to deal with the headache of the mother stepping over her boundaries and putting me in that kind of situation. read more

This is a luck of the draw kind of place for $99 a month for its daytime students. Not the best place for beginners if you are interested in day classes with consistent good instruction. The least prepared staff is not adequately supervised and I often ended up with this person as an instructor which resulted in unprofessional conduct and the even less prepared students trying to lead the class. Disrespectful behavior was the rule and it was not addressed and the class often disintegrated into joke telling and personal issues. When senior staff members actually teach the class it is excellent but you will be paying $99 a month to figure out which day & time that will be. You will not be allowed to change class schedules as they have limited offerings. Problems with staff and out of control adult students are not addressed. I learned because I was determined and willing to practice with other groups outside of class. I decided there are better places with consistent instructors and respectful environments that make the experience a good one. If you are a beginner be kind to yourself and find another place to train. read more

Excellent Tai Chi in the late mornings. They have four 1/2 hour sessions, each one building on foundation of the previous one. I started with first 1/2 hour and then to first hour. I'm now doing 2nd & 3rd sessions. Very logical on advancing. Awesome for beginners, and it would appear to be great for advanced (I'll find out about that as I progress). This place has great instructors, but be prepared for the rates. They start you out at $250 initial fee plus $129 a month thereafter. That is only for the first three months as a guest student. Once you start with the Black Belt Program, you have to pay $497 initial fee and $200 a month thereafter. It goes up further if you want to pursue the master's path or become an instructor, which is understandable. I wasn't aware of how expensive this would get upfront because they wouldn't tell me what the prices would be once I started the Black Belt Program, if I had known, I would not have started going here at all. It is just too expensive. They are great teachers though, so if you got the dough to fork out, then by all means go here.... but for the rest of us, stay away... they do not have the most ethical business practices. read more

This is a great school to learn martial arts and so much more. I joined more than 3 years ago along side with my wife and son. We have been learning Kung Fu together as a family and we enjoy the family friendly atmosphere. Learning Kung Fu is a lifelong experience. It is not only good for the body to stay agile, strong, fit and overall healthy and of course self defense. It also helps tremendously to build confidence, self discipline and respect for authority figures. It takes a lot of work and dedication learning and advancing every step of the way.
