As a paying member, this was disappointing. Even if you don't attend every class, it's fair to expect the option to be there consistently, especially with a monthly membership. The facility itself is quite small, and it often got very loud due to the number of parents and spectators crowded around during class. It can be distracting and makes the environment feel a bit chaotic, especially when space is already limited. There's a lot of potential here, but better scheduling reliability, a clearer structure, and improved facility management would go a long way in enhancing the overall experience. Great Jiu Jitsu, but poor business practices from a consumer perspective.

Hands down this is the best martial arts school in the area. Outstanding family environment focusing on character and moral development. The school is responsible for the training and success of some of local talent and other school owners. A couple of things I enjoy most is that people with egos and bad intentions do not last long here because they will not cater to it. The school makes it comfortable for even the most novice of student to the most experienced to learn and achieve their goals. They are extremely military friendly since their staff is either prior service, military family member or have served the community for multiple years. My youngest daughter's teacher was not consistently there, life happens and I understand that however when the recital came, it was clear the kids didn't know the dance. I've also witnessed on several occasions the kids being spoken to in nasty, unfriendly tones by more than one instructor and or employee. At the recital multiple kids were yelled at in front of parents by Angela. This is unacceptable behavior coming from a business that is supposed to be there to support military families. This is supposed to be a fun environment for kids and it sadly missed that mark this year. I will be taking my kids to a different studio from now on. But what we have discovered is that DTOJ spoiled us. I have participated in dance schools since my daughter who is 35 was 6 years old so I've been in and out of many dance studios. DTOJ and Brea Dance Studios are two of the best ever. One in California and one in North Carolina. But I can say that the one we have tried so far in Virginia have been disappointing. Part of that I believe is because DTOj treated us so well.
