They gave me information that didn't even match the tracking updates on their own software and then provided me with the general 800 number for USPS to contact a local post office. Not great. I called this post office not even expecting someone to pick up the phone. However, a postal worker picked up the phone and helped me promptly after assisting a customer at the desk. They were able to efficiently find the package and I was able to coordinate a pickup. Perhaps this is just nostalgia for Vermont, but you'll never find that kind of service at the post offices I've ever been to!

I called local post office and some kid answered-didn't have a clue as to what to do. I often see missing and miss-delivered mail on the local Forum. People are trying to find their own packages out here. This PO has a history of bad service.

This is one of my all-time favorite post offices in New England, and it's in one of those historic…read morebuildings (much like the one in Rutland, VT) that only add to the coolness factor. Personable and knowledgable staff, attentive to the customers' needs, and THANK YOU for the 'no cell phone' policy for the main interior lobby/counter, ensuring customers have to give the same attention they get (and not hold up everyone else in line, come pre-Christmas crunch time). Kudos!
